Special Containment Procedures: The entrance of SCP-XXXX has been made inaccessible by construction of an additional steel door exterior to the original. A sign placed on the door labels it as a switch-room. The ventilation of the restroom has been sealed of with a plate kept airtight with silicone sealant to ensure that no gas enters the room. The direct surroundings of SCP-XXXX is monitored by standard issue surveillance equipment, hence on-site guards are no longer required.
Description: SCP-XXXX is one of three public restroom located at [redacted] in the city of Malmö, Sweden. Upon entering SCP-XXXX and locking the door a subject is exposed to gas with a chemical composition similar to that of human flatulence originating from the ventilation shaft. Such an event is henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-X. The exact origin of the gas has not yet been determined, although measurement indicate that it is within close proximity of the ventilation exit. Any person inhaling the gas while inside SCP-XXXX will become convinced that the restroom door is unlocked and will not attempt to open the lock, regardless of being told otherwise. Said person will however try to open under the belief that the door is blocked from the outside.
The door of SCP-XXXX is of immense strength and cannot be breached by normal force, see addendum SCP-XXXX-X. The Foundation has not yet been able to find a method for opening the door from outside whilst an instance of SCP-XXXX-X is active, although its location makes the use of extreme force, such as explosive devices inconvenient. Awaiting approval from the Ethics Committee for further testing.
