SCP-9095: The Raven's Glory

SCP-5095 - The Raven’s Glory
Object class: Euclid
Site Responsible: Site-095
Director: N/A
Research Head: Dr. Erin Korvuns
Assigned Task Force: Mobile Task Force Rho-15
Level 4 clearance required

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-5095 is enclosed within an airtight chamber made of solid maraging steel. The chamber has a volume of 3 meters cubed. One wall to the containment chamber is able to be removed in order for maintenance and research from a distance of no less than 50 Kilometers. The chamber must be kept at a pressure of 1,013.2507 atm at all times in order to keep the chamber at a pressure of 1atm to prevent implosion of the structure. All personnel are prohibited entry into SCP-5095’s chamber unless a class-D personnel has been authorized to perform maintenance tasks. Personnel who enter must be equipped with an Mobile Task Force Rho-15 grade pressurized suit. SCP-5095 and it’s quarters are portable and can be accessed by Mobile Task Force Rho-15 if given authorization by level-5 security clearance.

Description:

SCP-5095 is a single feather from an abnormally large member of the Corvus Corax species. It measures at a length of 20 inches and a width of 3.5 inches. The feather itself appears to be non anomalous viewed through a medium of technology. Yet biological organisms will experience the following events

*blinding light
*deafening sounds which are often compared to scraping one’s eardrum with a thumbtack
*a considerable lack of air pressure.

Light and sound levels can not be measured as they are not detected by anything Which is not of biotic nature

These events will leave a victim blind and deaf within a time span of 5 nanoseconds. Those who hear the sounds often report that the “scraping” sounds remain until their eventual death. In addition, SCP-5095 is capable of altering the air pressure within a 45 kilometer radius of itself. The feather is able to drop the air pressure in its vicinity to a constant measurement of 0.000986923 atm or 0.0010197159373996 Kilograms of force per square centimeter.

If someone is caught within SCP-5095's line of fire, they will experience immediate escape of all air from their lungs which in turn, completely collapse. One will also experience the water and oxygen escaping from their body. A sensation of blood "boiling" will be felt before the air in their blood and other bodily fluids are forcibly ripped from their body, leaving a mangled and dehydrated carcass (Addendum one, experiment log:17-A). SCP-5095 was obtained as a gift of peace between the foundation and a religious organisation known as The Union of the Raven's Void (UOTRV). Dr. Korvuns whom is in charge of all UOTRV communications and relations, received the gift from the group on ███████████ in their compound which is located 400 klicks Northwest of ████████
Canada. A report written by Dr. Korvuns details the alleged origin of the artifact (see addendum two, subject anthropology).

Addendum One: Test Logs

Test 17-A:

SCP-5095 has not yet come in direct contact with biological matter. D-905201 dispatched into airlock.

As soon as airlock opened, D-905201 started screaming that he could not see and that there was something in his ears. D-90201 tried to request immediate termination of test and himself. Request denied.

After 1 minute and 7 seconds, all signs of struggle were halted. D-905201 let out a large exhale before his chest completely caved into itself. D-905201 is still alive and showing extreme signs of agony.

at 1 minute and 15 seconds of exposure to SCP-5095, D-905201 appeared to violently burst, leaving entrails scattered around the containment chamber chamber.

SCP-5095 proceeds to implode it's containment chamber and equalize the pressure within a 35 Kilometer radius. All biological masses within the destruction radius met the same fate as D-905201.

Mobile task force Rho-15 and Dr. Korvuns are sent to SCP-5095's location in order to establish an appropriately pressurized containment chamber. all MTF members are required to wear custom pressurized suits in order to preserve life. Dr. Korvuns is permitted to approach SCP-5095 without safety precautions.
