Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside a completely soundproofed room on a raised surface. Any subject involved in the testing of SCP-XXXX that has been exposed for over 10 minutes will be terminated upon completion. After the completion of a test, personnel may enter, but any personnel must wear soundproof headphones until the door to the containment cell is locked and all personnel have exited the cell.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a radio appearing to be from the 1970s era that constantly plays a loud static noise. The Foundation acquired it on █/██/████ in ██████, Ohio in a small antique shop. It was discovered after reports of hallucinations from people who entered the back room of the store where it was located. Any human being sentient being that listens to the noise played by the object for certain amounts of time will experience strong auditory and visual hallucinations until the subject is unable to hear the object or is deceased. The effects of SCP-XXXX from exposure are as follows:

2 minutes of exposure- Subject begins to hear "soothing music" coming from the object in place of the static.
3 minutes of exposure- Subject can see shadowy figures in their peripheral vision.
5 minutes of exposure- Subject begins to hear voices speaking in a low whisper.
10 minutes of exposure- Subject can see detailed hallucinations of shadowy apparitions dancing to the "music". These entities are designated SCP-XXXX-2.
15 minutes of exposure- Subject begins acting erratically, usually attempting to rip apart the soundproofing or exit the containment chamber, usually screeching incoherently, speaking in broken words, self-mutilation, among other effects which have been observed on a case-by-case basis.
30 minutes of exposure- Subject will attempt suicide through any manner possible. If failure occurs, the subject will begin to sob uncontrollably and scream. No tests have lasted longer than 31.32 minutes. If any subject is in contact with SCP-XXXX for longer than 25 minutes, they are to be immediately terminated.

SCP-XXXX is currently being held at Site-██. Testing is to be preformed when authorized by Senior Researcher ██████. No further tests are to be preformed on SCP-XXXX until further notice. -Senior Researcher ██████

Subject: D-78043
Procedure: Subject exposed for 20 minutes total, at 14 minutes begins screaming and pounding on the chamber door and scratching violently. Subject attacked their own limbs, causing heavy bleeding. Subject continued to slam against the door.
Result: Subject was terminated due to unstable mental state.
Analysis: We still need to do some further tests. Get me a Class-D by tomorrow. We're gonna try a bit shorter. Fix the soundproofing too. -Senior Researcher ██████.

Test B- █/█/████

Subject: D-34056
Procedure: Subject exposed for 13 minutes, and was then removed for an interview.
Result: Subject still mentally stable after exposure, was able to provide an interview afterwards.
Analysis: Alright, alright. This is good. This is a lot better than the last one. Let's try longer now. 25 or 30 minutes should do it. -Senior Researcher ██████

Test C- █/██/████

Subject: D-694035
Procedure: Subject exposed for 31.32 minutes. Showed the same behavior as D-78043 up until the 27 minute mark, when the subject began to attempt to slit their throat with a torn-off chunk of soundproofing foam. After unsuccessful
attempts, the subject assumed fetal position and wept uncontrollably until removed.
Result: Subject terminated.
Analysis: Stop the testing. No more. Just- Just fucking stop. God. We're making this shit Euclid. I'm fucking done. -Senior Researcher ██████.
Senior Researcher ██████ put in an application to receive amnestics 1 day after this test. The request was denied.

Interviewer: Dr. A ███████
Foreword: D-34056 was exposed to SCP-XXXX without much mental or physical damage. The interview takes place 6 hours after the test.

Interviewer: How long were you exposed to the object?
D-34056: What? Oh, the radio. Uh… 14-ish minutes, I think.
Interviewer: What occurred during the test?
D-34056: Uh… there was static for the first couple minutes, and then a song. It was a nice
song. Was real soothing, like the stuff mum would put on to help you sleep. That was… 2 minutes? Maybe? A little bit after the little black guys showed up.
Interviewer: Care to elaborate?
D-34056: They were little inky men, real small, maybe, I dunno, a few centimeters. They were a real ink black, kinda like space.
Interviewer: And what happened next?
D-34056 They talked. Around… eh, 5 minutes? Little whispers. Telling me to… escape. Get
out. That kind of thing. Spread the joy, eh?
Interviewer: Anything else?
D-34056: The little figures came back more, they weren't just out of the corner of my eye or
whatever, now they were crawling all over everything. On me, on… fuck.

D-34056: That was it. They took me out after. And I'm glad, too. I heard what happened to
the other guy.
