Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm lockbox. It is only to be accessed by authorized personnel with a level 3 or higher clearance.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a medium-sized tin box with a rounded speaker covered in aluminum. There are two buttons protruding from the box, adjacent from the speaker. Displayed across the box are the seemingly handwritten words, "WOULD YOU RATHER?" written in red ink. The ink substance type has not yet been identified but it does not appear to be normal store-bought marker ink.

The following is an audio log and transcript of Test Subject D-XXXX

(D-XXXX is a 27-year old caucasian male. Psychological background unknown. D-XXXX is placed sitting in front of SCP-XXXX. Dr.███ is instructing D-XXXX.)

Dr. : Subject. Please put your finger on the scanner and press the button on the box.

Subject: Seriously!? This is so weird…

Dr. : Please cooperate.

Subject: Whatever.

D-XXXX reluctantly follows Dr. 's instructions. A synthetic voice can be heard.

SCP-XXX: [SUBJECT NAME].

Subject: It knows my name!? What the hell!?

Dr. : Subject, allow for the anomaly to continue.

Subject: This is freaking me out!

SCP-XXX: WOULD YOU RATHER… FREEZE TO DEATH OR BE BURNED ALIVE?

Subject: What the-

SCP-XXX: YOU HAVE 60 SECONDS TO ANSWER.

Subject: Wait, what!? Why? Doctor!?

Dr. : Please answer the question, Subject.

Subject: What will happen if I don't!?

Dr. : Answer before the time limit runs out.

Subject: God, okay! Sheesh!

Subject: Freeze to death?

SCP-XXX: THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING.

D-XXXX sighs, seemingly relieved. Within 60 seconds, the subject is covered in a layer of frost. The source of the frost is unknown.

Subject: W-w-what t-the?

Dr. : What's going on?

Subject: It's so cold…

Dr. : The temperature is at a reasonable level.

Subject: I think I'll just…

Before D-XXXX finishes his sentence, the subject falls asleep and expires. Cause of death was confirmed to be hypothermia.

Researchers that entered the testing chamber afterward reported no change in temperature.
