Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX instances are to be kept in a 17m x 17m x 5m containment chamber, with the walls, ceiling, and floor being two (2) meters thick. Eggs are to be retrieved monthly from the containment chamber and incinerated, to stop the creation of more SCP-XXXX instances. During the event of a containment breach, the entities are to be incapacitated using blunt force trauma, and carried back to the containment chamber in locked containers. Under no circumstances are the entities to be spoken to, interacted with, or described when near their containment.
Description: SCP-XXXX instances are 3m tall jet black humanoids with long tentacled limbs, a small eyeless head, and a large mouth.
The entities are typically calm and unaggressive unless provoked or attacked. SCP-XXXX has the ability to teleport, and will often try to breach containment using this ability. Testing revealed that is is not able to teleport through surfaces that are two (2) meters thick or more. SCP-XXXX instances seem to require food and water, but will not die if it is not consumed. The entities commonly construct nests out of bones left over from feedings, and will occasionally lay eggs in the nests, which will hatch if not destroyed.
Any person who attempts to interact with, describe SCP-XXXX near their containment chamber, or speak to SCP-XXXX instances will begin seeing instances of SCP-XXXX in their peripheral vision. Any attempt to focus on SCP-XXXX instances will result in the instance either demanifesting or manifesting in the persons peripheral vision.
After approximately three (3) days of this happening, SCP-XXXX instances will begin flailing their arms wildly when appearing in a persons vision, and has even been reported to "dance" in some cases. This will typically occur for an additional two (2) days. If exposure to SCP-XXXX instances has not stopped up until this point, an instance will manifest near the effected individual and begin to stalk them for several days. While stalking their victim, hereby known as SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX instances will sometimes say random phrases, it is unknown if they understand what they are saying or are simply repeating previously heard phrases. After stalking SCP-XXXX-A, the instance will close in on the victim, and will typically kill them through brutal mauling or dismemberment.
