Special Containment Procedures: SCP-8649 is housed in a 5 m x 7 m room at Site-17, furnished with one (1) writing desk and chair, paper and pen/pencil (upon request), several strings of mala beads of varying lengths, and a standard bedframe, mattress, and pillow. The entity has requested to have its hair shaved every two weeks (granted) and be supplied daily with clean robes typical of a Bhuddist monk-in-training made of either cotton or wool, depending on the season/temperature (granted).
It is allowed to go for walks outside of its containment area upon request, provided that it gets permission at least two Level-2 security personnel in advance and is supervised for the duration.
Diet is to remain primarily vegetarian, though SCP-8649 will not object to beef products should routine testing show certain deficiencies.
Description: SCP-8649 is a male human child of East Asian (Tibetan) descent, reportedly eleven (11) years old, with tan skin and dark hair and eyes. It is 1.4 m high and weighs 29.8 kg. It has shown some knowledge of rudimentary English, but is fluent in Lhasa Tibetan, making translators necessary when interacting with it. Despite language barriers, SCP-8649 is generally described as having a friendly disposition.
SCP-8649 possesses the ability to pass through any solid object at the atomic level, temporarily warping the shape of both the object and itself. Upon absorbing small objects, it describes the sensation as being similar to a papule or plaque and sensitive to touch, but tolerable. These objects pose no threat to SCP-8649 unless sharp or particles enter the bloodstream. The entity reports that it has possessed this ability since it learned about atoms several years ago, and has been perfecting its abilities in its spare time ever since.
Magic isn't real, and is not a suitable explanation for what's happening here. We'll keep this kid 'til he's a hundred and four if that's what it takes to understand how he has this ability.
