Highwinner

Item #: SCP-[XXXX]

Object class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[XXXX] is to be kept in a standard 5x5 meter containment chamber within Site-76, with protected lighting panels constantly illuminating the chamber. The reinforced metal door may only be opened with the authorization of Senior Researcher Dr. Karpov, authorization from two project assistants of clearance Level-Three (3) or higher, or authorization from O5 Command. Due to the mischievous nature of SCP-[XXXX]-B instances, electronic surveillance of the containment chamber has been deemed a gross waste of resources, thus necessitating at least two guarding personnel for 24 hour daily observation from behind a protective glass window.

Containment procedures revised following Incident [XXXX]-11. See REVISION 1-a for details.

REVISION 1-a: SCP-[XXXX] is to be kept in a locked concrete chamber in ████-██, with a tungsten coating protecting the inner walls, wherein the internal temperature of the chamber must be constantly set to no less than one thousand eight-hundred (1800) degrees Kelvin. In the event of a power failure, SCP-[XXXX]’s own backup power generation systems must be activated in order to avoid a containment breach. Once a month, SCP-[XXXX] must be moved to a new chamber of equal capabilities whilst the original cell is maintained and cleaned of any stray debris or ash. Transfer of SCP-[XXXX] must be under the supervision of no less than five (5) armed guards, with the object itself sealed in a remotely collapsible sheet metal box. All testing is suspended at this time by order of O5-█ and O5-██.

Description:

Neutralization Attempt Logs:

Test Supervisor: Doctor Fischer.
Procedure: Examine the effects of hydrofluoric acid on SCP-[XXXX]-B instances.
Conclusion: Acid completely ineffective. It seems the material is actually a much more durable version of ceramic than previously thought.

Test Supervisor: Doctor Fischer.
Procedure: Examine the effects of hydrofluoric acid on SCP-[XXXX]-B instances over twenty-four (24) hours.
Conclusion: Containment breach after three (3) hours, resulting in ████ (█) casualties. Future acid testing on SCP-[XXXX]-B entities prohibited by O5 Command.

Test Supervisor: Senior Researcher Kaplov.
Procedure: Examine the effects of high temperature incineration on SCP-[XXXX]-B instances.
Conclusion: After approximately nine (9) seconds, instances begin to melt and/or catch fire, before being completely terminated after thirty-two (32) seconds. Test deemed successful.

Test Supervisor: Doctor Fischer.
Procedure: Examine the effects of physically destroying an instance of SCP-[XXXX]-B. One Class-D personnel is sent into the containment chamber with protective armor and ordered to destroy an instance with a hammer.
Conclusion: Test unsuccessful. Class-D terminated after ███ (██) seconds.

Note: Doctor Fischer has been demoted to Level-One (1) clearance and removed from the project for misconduct and negligence.

Test Supervisor: Doctor ████████.
Procedure: Attempt to completely enclose SCP-[XXXX] within a constricted steel box so as to not allow room for the creation of new SCP-[XXXX]-B instances.
Conclusion: Test failed, as SCP-[XXXX]-B instances materialized outside of the steel box and breached containment, causing the deaths of ██████-███ (██) on site personnel, including Doctor ████████.

Note: All future testing halted until a new, plausible neutralization procedure is approved by the O5 Council.

Incident-[XXXX]-11:

On ██/██/200█, Foundation Security Officer J████ R███ was assigned to assist Containment Cell Maintenance Technicians L███ G██████ and H████ K█████████ to reinforce the cell’s south wall, which had been scarred over time due to the adhesive property of SCP-[XXXX]-B instances. In an effort to distract the SCP-[XXXX]-B instances, Officer R███ sat down in a chair, provided by one of the security officers monitoring the cell, and began to play a game of chess on SCP-[XXXX]. Contrary to previous matches with Class-D personnel, Officer R███ actually won the game. This resulted in the SCP-[XXXX]-B instances on the board to become extremely hostile. The instances attempted to [DATA EXPUNGED] Officer R███, though he successfully escaped the chamber with L███ G██████. H████ K█████████, however, was terminated before she could exit the containment chamber. SCP-[XXXX] then proceeded to create its first wave of new SCP-[XXXX]-B instances, which began to swarm the protective glass window of the chamber. Within three (3) hours, the chamber’s walls had collapsed under the strain of newly created instances, subsequently causing a site-wide lockdown and [REDACTED] casualties.
