Special Containment Procedures: Containment efforts for SCP-XXXX are focused on the anticipation, prediction, and preparation for SCP-XXXX events. This includes:
- Tracking Hume levels1 wherever possible, SCP-XXXX events are marked by clear, patterned spikes in Hume concentration.
- Multiple reports of civilians and/or Foundation operatives feeling a "sense of impending doom," particularly in those with no history of mental or physical health problems.
- Localized malfunctioning of Scranton Reality Anchors. Typically SRAs within a 1 kilometer radius from an impending SCP-XXXX event experience minor malfunctions2. Malfunctioning SRAs can be used in conjunction with Kant Counters to triangulate impending SCP-XXXX events.
If an impending SCP-XXXX event is confirmed, the following actions will be performed:
- MTF Delta-11 ("Interdimensional Blitzkrieg") will be deployed.
- Delta-11 will find the exact origin of the impending SCP-XXXX event, utilizing Kant Counters.
- Once the location is found, Delta-11 will take a defensive position, and wait for the event to begin.
With current Foundation knowledge, it is impossible to stop an impending SCP-XXXX event.
Delta-11s main goal is suppression of the SCP-XXXX-X variant until SCP-XXXX-1 arrives. After which point, the goal will shift to aiding SCP-XXXX-1 as it draws the aggression of the SCP-XXXX-X variant.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation given to the spontaneous creation of a dimensional breach between the "prime" universe and another universe, designated U-XXXX (For more information on U-XXXX, see Exploration-Log-SCP-XXXX-1-A)
SCP-XXXX events generally occur every 2-10 months, and follow a consistent timeline:
- Reality levels in an area (events have been observed to happen all around the world, including over oceans) start to fluctuate rapidly.
- 10 minutes to 3 hours later, a dimensional breach will be produced.
- Out of this breach, an SCP-XXXX-X instance will exit, the breach will then close.
- In nearly all cases, the SCP-XXXX-X instance will immediately attack anything within vision.
- After 3-5 minutes, SCP-XXXX-1 will exit from a second, newly generated, and nearby dimensional breach.
- SCP-XXXX-1 will draw attention by engaging the SCP-XXXX-X instance, usually working with nearby Foundation operatives.
- After SCP-XXXX-X is neutralized/contained, SCP-XXXX-1 will generate a third dimensional breach, and exit through. This breach closes soon afterward.
SCP-XXXX-1 is the designation given to an anomalous Aurelia Aurita (Moon Jelly) Jellyfish. SCP-XXXX-1s appearance always follows an SCP-XXXX-X instance during an SCP-XXXX event. Upon entering a dimensional breach, SCP-XXXX-1 will always wear a "suit" of technological armor. The only known anomalous property of SCP-XXXX-1 is sapience, and intelligence.3
SCP-XXXX-1 is always cooperative with Foundation opertatives, and will generally follow orders given by COs of Delta-11, or those higher up in the Foundation hierarchy.
For a full list of SCP-XXXX events, see Document-SCP-XXXX-3a.
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX-1
Interviewer: Researcher Ezekial
Purpose: Ascertain SCP-XXXX-1's motives, past, home universe information, and relationship with the SCP Foundation<Begin Log>
Interviewer: To start, do you have a name you prefer to go by?
SCP-XXXX-1: Whatever my designation is works fine, I was never given a name.
Interviewer: What is your relationship to the Foundation like?
SCP-XXXX-1: I was an anomaly, contained like any other. They described me as a "hyper intelligent jellyfish," contained me at a low security site, designated me as safe, and then pretty much just waited for me to die of old age, apparently this wasn't their first experience with intelligent animals with a short lifespan.
Interviewer: Are you still contained? Does this other Foundation have you out doing missions for them?
SCP-XXXX-1: Oh, you don't know do you. My Foundation doesn't… exist anymore.
Interviewer: Please elaborate.
SCP-XXXX-1: There really isn't much depth to it, the more I look into the why and how, the more confused I get about the entire thing. One day the SCP Foundation in my universe just… disappeared.
Interviewer: …What.
SCP-XXXX-1: It's what I said. One day, some time in the past, all foundation personnel just… vanished. gone, without a single trace of where they went. Predictably the world fell into chaos, SCPs escaped, the GOC tried their damndest to keep the peace, but obviously weren't prepared for the sheer volume of simultaneous containment breaches. On-site nuclear devices started going off, world governments feared the worst and retaliated with all they had… and that's pretty much it. Humanities population is in the hundreds of thousands now, with no sign of anyone Foundation-affiliated on the entire planet.
Interviewer: I'm… I'm sorry. That must have been hard for you. But we need to continue the interview. What was your life with the Foundation like, from pre-containment up until… now, about.
SCP-XXXX-1: Some fishermen saw some rudimentary traps of alien design while out on a lake. The fishermen told the police, the police told some marine biologists, one of those marine biologists was a Foundation mole… before I knew it, I was located and contained. They kept testing my intelligence over my time spent there. In a month I learned the concept of language. In a week I learned english. In a few more months, I learned how to work with electronics. At the end of about, 8 months of containment, the scientists told me I was likely to die of old age soon. So I built a cybernetic enhancement that kept me alive a bit longer. And then another… and then another… and then finally one that made me basically immortal. In between tests, I mostly spent time inventing, playing chess with guards, the usual.
Interviewer: What happened immediately after the Foundation disappeared?
SCP-XXXX-1: None of the guards showed up, and after a day I grew suspicious something went wrong. I built my first suit and looked around the facility. It didn't take long for me to see that I was not the only one left. There were other anomalies there, ones I lacked the ability to free. When the Foundations disappeared, all their foundation-related property also disappeared, which meant that I didn't have access to any keycards… I couldn't free them…
Long pause
SCP-XXXX-1: It took me a week to break the failsafe code and open all the doors, most of my fellow anomalies died, I was only able to save a few of them.
Interviewer: What about after that?SCP-XXXX-1: Scavengers. Came around and killed all of the anomalies, taking all the valuables and machinery.
Interviewer: How did you survive?
SCP-XXXX-1: I threw myself into one of the recreational fish tanks and hid. They ran off after a few hours.
Interviewer: I've just got one final question… Why do you try to protect our universe?
SCP-XXXX-1: I've seen what can happen when the Foundation fails firsthand. Anomalies escaping from my universe are my responsibility. So I help contain them.
Interviewer: … you mean kill them?
SCP-XXXX-1: I do what I have to do, with the resources I have. Nearly every Foundation site in my universe has been reduced to a smoldering, radioactive crater. I don't have access to hundreds of containment sites like your universe does. If I can't contain them, I have to kill them. I'm sure you would do the same in my position.
Interviewer: Alright, actually I have a personal question I want to ask. Why don't you just… move to our universe? I'm sure the Foundation will be more than willing to house you, especially considering how compliant you are.
SCP-XXXX-1: Because this is my universe. I'm not going to sit back and watch the earth crumble, not if I can do anything about it. Even if this takes me the rest of my life, the earth will recover.
Interviewer: …You have to realize the shear impossibility of this situation, there are probably thousands of SCPs uncontained in your universe, it would potentially take you hundreds of years to contain them all!
SCP-XXXX-1: You don't think I know this? You really think after all the years I've been working on this, I've never considered how impossible this goal is? There's a fundamental difference between you and me, human. I made myself a goal, and I'm working to reach it. I'm making progress, every SCP I take down is one more I don't have to contain. The time frame is irrelevant, as long as humanity lives, as long as any life on my planet remains, I have something to fight for.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: *We got what we came for. While we've learned a lot of things about SCP-XXXX-1, it's unlikely this will affect how we interact with him.
Foreword: During missions with SCP-XXXX-1, its very common for operatives of Delta-11 to ask SCP-XXXX-1 questions to alleviate tension, distract them from injuries, or for other reasons. I've started writing down these questions for archival purposes, maybe it might give a glimpse into SCP-XXXX-1's personality or motives. -Artillery Specialist Clint
Q: What are your suits usually made out of?
A: Carbon nanotubes overlaid with various materials that I need for the fight. Esper class? Telekill alloy. Speedster Class? Aerogel-Tungsten-Steel weave.
Q: What's your favorite weapon?
A: Practicality? Railgun. The concept is simple: use some electromagnets to accelerate a projectile to some fraction of the speed of light. Pure spectacle? Antimatter explosives, the reason should be obvious.
Q: What do you use to power your suits?
A: Antimatter initiated miniaturized fusion reactors. 3 of them per suit, can be ejected to use as weapons in case of emergency.
Q: How do you breach the dimensional barrier so easily?
A: It's hard to put it into simple words. Hell, it's hard to put it any way that would fit in a 50 page research paper, let alone a sentence or two. I guess the best explanation is… Scranton Reality Anchors have a frequency, using complex methods I can tune a knife, or other cutting device to this frequency and… cut a hole open.
Q: Can you do that jellyfish thing where you reverse your aging and become a polyp?
A: Probably? I haven't really tried it, or… needed to.
Q: How did you build electronics underwater?
A: I didn't.
Q: Don't jellyfish have weak muscles? How did you build anything before gaining equipment?
A: Very, very slowly.
Q: Do you need eyes, or cameras?
A: No, but they are useful.
Q: What did you think of the area above water before the Foundation found you?
A: I knew to stay away because predators were rampant.
Q: Did you ever reproduce?
A: In my home lake? Not that I know of. In captivity? Once. My children did not share my anomalous properties.
Q: Do you ever wonder what happened to your children?
A: Nope. Caring for your offspring is a human concept, one I don't quite grasp.
Q: How long do you think it's gonna take you to kill all dangerous anomalies?
A: Statistics say around 300 years. My gut says "when it's done."
Q: What do you do in your free time?
A: Design and upgrade my suits.
Q: No, I meant like, when you're not working.
A: I protect convoys, supply runs, and track roaming anomalies.
Q: No! Like, when you're not doing anything anyone needs you to, like when you just have time to do whatever you want.
A: I'm not sure I follow, why would I not be working when I have the ability to?
Q: Do you think you could take Superman in a fight?
A: Who?
[Questioner goes over a detailed description of superman's powers]
A: I would use suit 32 for that, tungsten-carbide alloy overlaid with nanotube composite plating, in order to resist his heat vision and strength. Inertial frame shift drive running at full power should give me the proper reaction times to contend with a bullet timer. High energy electromagnetic joints give me the strength I need to outduel him, combined with an experimental antimatter reactor, to outlast him.
Q: Are there any Foundation scientists that you would want to talk to given the chance?
A: Dr. Scranton, he was so ahead of his time in dimensional science and laid the groundwork for everything I do now, I've been meaning to visit him in your universe but I just… haven't had the time.
Q: Did you ever meet Dr. Bright or Dr. Clef in your time in containment?
A: Who?
Q: What's your security clearance?
A: I've only cracked the code for level 2 access. Any higher levels are gonna take me a few tens of years. Damn encryption algorithms…
Q: What's your opinion on Gamers Against Weed?
A: I have a degree of respect for them. When the world fell into chaos, many of them used their anomalous powers to save their friends, family, etcetera. But… most of them died. I think we have a former member in our outpost somewhere, but she doesn't really go out much.
Q: Can you be affected by memetic agents?
A: No. I can't hear naturally and I can't see naturally, plus my brain isn't human. But I guess if some sick asshole designed a kill agent for jellyfish, I would have to worry.
Q: What was being a polyp like?
A: Dunno, can't remember that far back.
Document-SCP-XXXX-3a
This document details every known SCP-XXXX event, the keys to edit it should be open for most researchers and operatives of Delta-11. For those that are a part of RAISA, there are still tons of unfiled SCP-XXXX events that need to be added with current information. Note on the "Notes from SCP-XXXX-1" bit, we started asking SCP-XXXX-1 to provide a bit of documentation on SCP-XXXX-X instances. His low clearance level will limit his knowledge, but at least its something. -Researcher Ezekiel, Dimensional Site-45

Cover story: Runoff from unauthorized depleted uranium storage site caused the surrounding area to become increasingly radioactive. Public barred from entry.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] Guess this is where these started, hey, at least this one wasn't that bad, right?
Closing notes: Due to new information on how SCP-XXXX-1 conducts SCP-XXXX events, we're not sure why SCP-XXXX-1 chose to kill SCP-XXXX-2 rather than help contain it. SCP-XXXX-1 has not given us any hints about this situation. -Researcher Ezekiel, Dimensional Site-██
Date: 03/05/20██
Location: ██.██████, ██.██████, Arctic Ocean
Appearance of SCP-XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-1s suit is estimated to be around six meters tall, primary weapon is a large shotgun-like firearm, while in-built thrusters allow uninhibited movement above the ocean.
Description and Designation of SCP-XXXX-X Variant: SCP-XXXX-3: (estimated to be 5 meters tall) A humanlike anomaly, cloaked in multicolored robes, with pitch-black skin. Instead of a face, has a single glowing dot in the middle of its head. Carries a sword as big as itself. Sword appears to distort reality around it.
Sequence of Events: Note: Most details from before foundation arrival interrogated from two Inuit Fishermen, who witnessed the fight firsthand.
[T+?s]: Evidence of impending SCP-XXXX event starts.
[T+0s]: Dimensional breach opens, SCP-XXXX-3 exits.
[T+6m]: SCP-XXXX-3 wanders approximately 3 kilometers from the initial breach location, until encountering an Inuit fishing boat. Before SCP-XXXX-3 can attack, a second breach is opened, which SCP-XXXX-1 exits from. SCP-XXXX-1 immediately engages SCP-XXXX-3.
[T+9m]: Fight ends with SCP-XXXX-1 barely coming out on top over SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX-1s suits arm is cut off, and falls to the ocean floor, along with SCP-XXXX-3s blade. SCP-XXXX-1 creates a third dimensional breach, and exits with the unconscious SCP-XXXX-3.
[T+2h]: Foundation learns of event after a fisherman calls the Canadian Emergency Services line, talking about the event.
[T+4h]: All fishermen interviewed, then subsequently given amnestics and released.
Cover story: All witnesses given amnestics, no further cover story needed.
Outcome: Plating on amputated arm matches closely to previously recovered lead plating. RAISA approves creation of SCP-XXXX article, and further research is authorized by Site-██ Administrators
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] There's not much to talk about here. It's a Keter class anomaly that wandered too close to a malfunctioning reality anchor.
Closing notes: Sword currently under study, appears to destroy matter at the atomic level. Decapitated arm appears non-anomalous.
Date: 22/03/20██
Location: -70.████ latitude, -177.█████ longitude, Southern Ocean, off the coast of Zucchelli Station, Antarctica.
Appearance of SCP-XXXX-1: Appearance typical of other SCP-XXXX-1 suits, with the addition of larger arms and legs.

[T+2h54m]: MTF Gamma-6 arrive at SCP-XXXX origin. Starts preparations for SCP-XXXX event.
[T+2h55m]: SCP-XXXX-4 opens dimensional breach. Immediately falls into the ocean, and begins sinking downward at a rapid rate4.
[T+2h57m]: While MTF Gamma-6 awaits orders from Site-██, SCP-XXXX-1 emerges from a second dimensional breach. SCP-XXXX-1 quickly activates its thrusters before falling into the ocean, barely keeping itself in air. SCP-XXXX-1 looks at device on it's arm, and then to the boats of MTF Gamma-6. Speakers on SCP-XXXX-1s suit say "You guys got this one. Those Orange Suits usually have nuclear bombs in them but I'm… 90% certain this one doesn't." SCP-XXXX-1 then opens a third breach, and exits through it.
[T+4h5m]: SCP-XXXX-4 recovered from the Ocean Floor, delivered to ██████ Proving Grounds in Antarctica for diffusing purposes.
Cover story: None needed due to remote location.
Outcome: All explosives inside of SCP-XXXX-4 were rendered non-functional some time ago. A single occupant was found, cause of death: drowning. SCP-XXXX-4 transferred to Site-██ for further research.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] I was right, wasn't I? To be honest, it's good that this thing crossed the dimensional rift into an ocean, Orange Suits don't easily go down.
Closing notes: We contacted the GOC and told them the serial number of the suit, they said it didn't match any in their records. I think we may be dealing with separate, but still similar dimension here, although the exact mechanisms behind this are unknown. SCP-XXXX-1 remains a mystery, but appears to be the only thing in common with these events. The question keeps coming back to me, why is it always wearing the Foundation insignia? -Researcher Ezekiel, Office of Dimensional Science

Outcome: Corpse of SCP-XXXX-5 deemed non-anomalous, and disposed of. Remaining pieces of SCP-XXXX-1 are inconclusive. Mechanisms show evidence of a biological component, but said component is missing. Kant Counters show signs of a third dimensional rift opened some time after the event, but before recovery.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] I don't want to talk about it.
Closing notes: Even when it's "suit" is beyond repair, SCP-XXXX-1 is still able to breach the dimensional barrier. If only we could talk to this anomaly, perhaps we could get more information one why SCP-XXXX events keep happening. -Researcher Ezekiel, Office of Dimensional Science

Outcome: MTF Delta-11 "Interdimensional Blitzkrieg" formed, for the sole purpose of rapid response to SCP-XXXX events.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] So it turns out trying to revive an ancient Nordic deity by stuffing it into the body of a robotic wolf, and then loading said wolf with enough paratech weaponry to level a city isn't the best choice. I hope your own Anderson Robotics isn't working on something similar.
Closing notes: All notes about this SCP-XXXX event except what we have here have been deleted… Somehow. COs of MTF-██ should report to Site-██ for advanced debriefing as soon as possible. -██████ ████, Recordkeeping and Information Security Administration

[T+2h10m]: SCP-XXXX-1 enters from a second dimensional breach. engages SCP-XXXX-7.
[T+2h13m]: SCP-XXXX-7 is knocked unconscious. SCP-XXXX-1 takes SCP-XXXX-7 into a third dimensional breach, ending the event.
Cover story: Unauthorized logging attempt, no witnesses.
Outcome: Cover story made, no further action required.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] That thing can shapeshift? I thought it just hijacked one of my suits!
Closing notes: N/A
Date: 23/05/20██
Location: Site-19
Appearance of SCP-XXXX-1: N/A
Description and Designation of SCP-XXXX-X Variant: N/A
Sequence of Events:
[T+0s]: Evidence of impending SCP-XXXX event start
[T+5m]: Director ██████ suggests using the newly developed ██████-Cole Reality Manipulator to close the breach before it opens.
[T+20m]: Reality Manipulator set up, tasked with preventing the breach.
[T+3h43m]: Signs of an impending SCP-XXXX event stop.
Cover story: N/A
Outcome: Further testing of ██████-Cole Reality Manipulators for the containment of SCP-XXXX approved.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: [Retroactively Added] Whatever you guys did, I recommend investing it it more. Not only was the breach stopped, but it's gone from my universe to, and doesn't seem to be in any others.
Closing notes: Considering the last events destructive power, I think it's imperative that we deploy these Reality Manipulators to all the sites we can as soon as possible. The last thing we need is an SCP-XXXX event causing a mass containment breach. -Researcher Ezekiel, Dimensional Site-45
Date: 01/██/████
Location: New Seoul, North Korea
Appearance of SCP-XXXX-1: A colossal (Estimated to be 70 meters tall) suit, resembling previous designs but at a much larger scale. Primary weapons include a massive sword (Note: this sword deviated from SCP-XXXX-1s usual designs, instead resembling a Ceremonial Scottish Claymore), numerous rocket pods, and a 20 meter long, high caliber railgun.
Description and Designation of SCP-XXXX-X Variant: SCP-XXXX-8: An equally large (estimated to be around 120 meters in length, 60 meters in height) anomaly resembling a dragon (European folklore). Coated in black scales which, from analysis, have similar strength to iron. Capable of several different abilities:
- Flight, via massive wings.
- 3 breath attacks, switches between breathing fire and shards of ice, as well as electrically charged clouds of gas.
- Roaring, windows close enough to SCP-XXXX-8 were shattered from the sound alone.
- Moderate reality bending, allowing light manipulation of fire, electricity, and water (in all states of matter).
Sequence of Events:
[T+0]: Evidence of impending SCP-XXXX starts, immediately detected by Site-██s Kant Counters.
[T+10m]: MTF Delta-11 dispatched
[T+15m]: Evacuation order given to New Seoul, guise of impending tsunami.
[T+3h35m]: MTF Delta-11 arrives in New Seoul, begins preparations for SCP-XXXX event.
[T+4h]: Preparation complete SCP-XXXX source triangulated, defenses set up.
[T+10h]: Signs of an impending SCP-XXXX event only get more intense, until eventually a massive dimensional breach is opened. SCP-XXXX-8 emerges.
[T+10h1m]: MTF Delta-11 given orders to retreat and wait for reinforcements, MTFs Nu-7 ("Hammer Down"), and Eta-5 ("Jäeger Bombers") dispatched to New Seoul.
[T+10h13m]: Due to Nu-7s access to hypersonic transport aircraft, All MTF groups arrive in time.
[T+10h17m]: MTFs successfully keep SCP-XXXX-8 within an area of the city via artillery support and heavy bombing from support aircraft. No sign of SCP-XXXX-1.
[T+10h25m]: SCP-XXXX-1 still hasn't appeared. COs of Delta-11 give order to shift plans to containment.
[T+10h27m]: A second, massive dimensional breach opens. SCP-XXXX-1 exits. SCP-XXXX-8 notices SCP-XXXX-1, and immediately shifts to focusing him. MTF Eta-5 works to deploy sedatives into SCP-XXXX-8.
[T+10h30m]: Battle rages on, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-8 have taken heavy damage (SCP-XXXX-1 has a gaping hole in its chest, As well as damage to overall plating. Both of SCP-XXXX-8s horns, as well as a wing, have been severed.
[T+10h40m]: SCP-XXXX-1s suit has been damaged heavily, but SCP-XXXX-8 has been sedated, and lays unconscious amongst the destroyed buildings.
[T+10h45m]: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-8 moved to Site-███, cover story formulated, amnestics dispensed.
Cover story: Transport of an illegal nuclear weapon gone wrong.
Outcome: City of New Seoul completely destroyed.
Notes from SCP-XXXX-1: You're dimension might as well run the lottery for how much luck was required to get this asshole here, and in a metropolitan city no less? I don't envy the people who have to cover this up. This… should be one of the most powerful anomalies gone from my dimension though, I appreciate the help.
Closing notes: Despite the fact that SCP-XXXX-1 claims that this was one of the most powerful anomalies from his dimension, I still believe Delta-11 requires more funding. They were completely unprepared for an event of this scale. The only reason this didn't break the veil, is due to the fact that North Korea has overbearing control over the flow of information. -Researcher Ezekiel, Dimensional Site-45
Jorge had mixed feelings. When he first read the documentation for SCP-XXXX, and was told that he was being transferred to Delta-11, he had no idea what to expect. Talking to his fellow MTFs in the lounge at Site-14, he was told Delta-11 was quite possibly, one of the most boring MTF groups there was. However, whenever he had the opportunity to talk to operatives of Delta-11, their stories were quite the opposite. He wasn't sure whether to believe them or not, after all some of the stories so outlandish, there seemed to be no way The Foundation could keep this kind of thing secret, and even if they could, Delta-11 wasn't nearly equipped enough to handle such things.
"A building-sized dragon? A fallen god? Hmph." Jorge muttered to himself, as he entered the lecture-hall-styled room. Inside, two people were standing at the front, organizing papers and talking to each other. One looked like your typical Foundation scientist, if a little young, while the other was the stereotypical grizzled veteran type. He had been told the speakers would be Researcher Ezekiel, along with Commander North, and it was clear who was who.
"Ah, you must be Jorge, the recruit from Eta-5! It is nice to meet you!" Ezekiel said in a heavy german accent. He gave out his hand to shake, however Jorge ignored it. Ezekiel lowered it, and spoke again. "I see… most operatives seem to think assignment to Delta-11 is a… punishment of sorts. But rest assured, all will be explained in the presentation! He walked up towards the top of the auditorium, and sat down. Over the course of the next few minutes, about two dozen other soldier-looking-types, along with some assorted scientists and engineers, walked into the room, and sat down at various places. As the rest found their spot, Ezekiel got up and began speaking to the group.
"Welcome, future operatives of Delta-11! Or more colloquially known, 'Interdimensional Blitzkrieg.'" If you're here, it means that the Foundation has seen how well you work under stress, how fast you can mobilize, and how quick you are to action. Most of you, in this room, are soldiers, both old and new. Some of you are transfers from other MTF groups, while others are new hires, and some of you still are scientists and engineers. In any case, we at Delta-11 have one collective goal:"
Ezekiel tapped something on his laptop, and the projector began playing video. Starting with a human moving impossibly fast around a desecrated forest, beginning to pick up a tank before the camera shuts off. Switching to a new video, it shows two, massive worm-like creatures that appear to be composed of fire, as they rise out the ground, flying into a building. The video shifts once again. Showing a massive, nearly-skyscraper sized dragon breath a stream of electrified gas at a regiment of tanks, interrupted when a succession of explosions erupt from its side.
Ezekiel paused the video and continued talking. "Our goal, here at Delta-11, is the containment of deadly anomalies summoned by SCP-XXXX. Now, you may be thinking we are… unequipped to handle such things, that we don't nearly have the manpower, or equipment to combat these anomalies. But you must realize: We do not work alone."
Ezekiel resumed the video again. A massive projectile flies from off-screen, cleaving through one of the dragon's wings, severing it as it falls to the ground, crushing the buildings below. The camera pans over to show an equally huge mech, as it begins running toward the dragon, before grabbing it by the neck, and throwing it to the ground. A huge, ceremonial-looking sword is unsheathed from the mech, and then plunged into the dragon. A pulse of energy shakes the camera, and the footage cuts out. Ezekiel rewinds to show a good view of the mech. There is a clear SCP insignia on the chest armor, still visible despite the damaged plating.
"This… is SCP-XXXX-1. He is an anomaly associated with SCP-XXXX, obviously. Except… He is a bit of a unique case. He comes from a different dimension, designated U-XXXX. He is believed to be the only remnant of the Foundation in his universe, and actively works to contain anomalies that escape it. Unfortunately, it seems our universe is the primary one these anomalies escape to. He has taken it as his mission to help us contain them. Commander North can explain the rest, North?" Ezekiel stepped away from the podium. North got up, and began talking.
"Alright, Ladies! If you still haven't gotten it, let me reiterate what our egghead-friend has to say!" North yelled, with a gruff, southern accent. Ezekiel sighed, as North continued talking.
"XXXX-1 is our ally, and he's sure as hell saved my ass more than any of my soldiers, or any other Foundation personnel! Before our first mission, I highly recommend each and every one you go over the combat logs and interviews, to get a clue as to how we operate with him, and not make a fool of yourself on the battlefield! Now, here at Delta-11, if you somehow haven't deduced already, our goal is to work with XXXX-1 to contain anomolies brought to our dimension through XXXX. If you're thinking we're playing second banana to an anomaly, then you are mistaken!"
Ezekiel pressed a button on his keyboard again, showing more footage. This time, it showed SCP-XXXX-1, blocking a chain of attacks from a slightly larger anomaly. It was clear SCP-XXXX-1 was losing ground, as its shield grew more damaged with each strike. A succession of tank shots impacted the anomaly, and SCP-XXXX-1 used the opportunity to counterattack. The footage cuts off.
"XXXX-1 helps us, so we help him! It ain't a hard concept to understand, but some assholes seem to think less of XXXX-1, or Delta-11 as a whole, because of this fact. Let me assure you, XXXX-1 is not 076. He will not snap and kill everyone like a wild animal. So I'm demanding at least an ounce of respect from all of you, towards this anomaly! Some of you could learn a thing or two from him!"
North looked over to Ezekiel, who tapped his watch. North looked back to the group.
"Right. if you've heard that Delta-11 is 'boring,' then you are correct! Delta-11 is boring, much in the same way being a goddamned firefighter is boring! Most of the days… Yes, you are going to be sitting in your bunks, waiting for action. XXXX events only happen every few months, so it is a lot of waiting. Rest assured, Delta-11, has a very nice pay plan, so you are being paid to sit around waiting, essentially. But much like a firefighter has to wait for a fire, and much like a firefighter has to perform their best during a fire, we have to perform our best during an XXXX event! And debatably more importantly, we have to be ready to deploy, at all times! XXXX events can happen anywhere, anytime. From a crowded metropolitan city, to a scorched desert wasteland, to the middle of the god-dang ocean, during a fukin' hurricane! Now to be more specific. During the two months after an XXXX event, we will be running drills, testing how fast we can deploy, and how effectively we can perform. But after those two months, we wait. XXXX events are inevitable, it's only a matter of time til' the next one."
North walked away from the podium. And Ezekiel took his place, as he began speaking.
"Nicely put… To all operatives of Delta-11, you will be given full documentation on SCP-XXXX, along SCP-XXXX-1, and every other SCP-XXXX anomaly. This is so you can be acquainted to working with SCP-XXXX-1, and know the kind of thing to expect from an SCP-XXXX event. Another thing to keep in mind: While no SCP-XXXX anomalies are on the main list, they are dangerous nonetheless. Always assume they will be Keter level, or worse. Now, any questions?"
Jorge saw multiple people raise their hands. He was not new to rookie orientation, and decided to keep his questions to himself. Ezekiel picked one at random.
"If SCP-XXXX-1 is usually piloting his… mech, then what's SCP-XXXX-1 really look like?" one of the soldier types asked, her accent almost as gruff as North's.
"Excellent question! SCP-XXXX-1 is a jellyfish."
The number of raised hands tripled.
"Ah, I mean, while SCP-XXXX-1 is a jellyfish, he is a jellyfish with extreme intelligence! He builds these suits to combat anomalies, much like the GOC does!"
North growled after hearing the GOC mentioned. Murmurs consumed the lecture hall.
"But… unlike the GOC, SCP-XXXX-1s suits are designed to pacify, not destroy! The outcome of 99% of these SCP-XXXX events is the pacification of the anomaly, rather than the elimination."
The majority of hands lowered, and Ezekiel picked another, This time a scientist type.
"What about the 1%?" He said.
"That is… classified."
More hands raised up, until North got up, and began speaking.
"Any questions not relating to XXXX-1!?" North yelled. All hands went down. "Alright! Meeting adjourned. Dossiers will be sent to each of you, I recommend you go over them fully."
As Jorge got up to leave, Ezekiel stopped him before he exited. "We need to talk." he said, his voice a stark difference from how it was before. They walked further from the exiting group. "If you are the transfer from Eta-5, then you are now one of the acting Commanding Officers of Delta-11. This might seem like it's last minute, and it kind of is… But North can explain the rest. Good luck."
Jorge turned around to exit, North was standing behind him. "Alright. So the Foundation has informed me that if SCP-XXXX continues to make more giant anomalies, we will need more outside help. But to curve this issue, I have personally selected you, a now-former CO of Eta-5, to help guide our team when dealing with the giant anomalies. You will work alongside me and Commander Renner, to lead Delta-11 to victory. I look forward to a long, and prosperous alliance." North turned away, and started organizing his things while talking to Ezekiel. Jorge noted his voice was quite out of character, but he assumed that North was putting on a show for the rookies. He exited out of the lecture hall, and towards the lounge.
Anomaly Classifications: These essentially dictate the main offensive power of the anomaly in question.
| Classification | Description | Ways to counter them |
| Esper | Catch all term for anything that can move objects or control others with their mind, usually takes the form of basic telekinesis. | Telekill weave in addition to standard armor plating usually nullifies any telekinetic effects. Use Scranton Reality Anchors against more powerful versions. Stick to melee combat and/or near-lightspeed projectiles. Typical ranged weapons are useless when they can stop the bullets mid air with their mind. |
| Brick | Anything that manifests its damage output in the form of absurd strength, with durability to back it up. | Just… keep firing. These guys are slow as hell so mobile armors are usually the best, usually you want to avoid getting hit, but if you have to get hit, typical carbon nanotube-tungsten carbide weave is good enough to soak most of the damage. Wear down with AP explosive munitions, and always keep the pressure up. |
| Speedster | These assholes are fast, really fast. Suits used to counter them have to break the limits of their inertial frame shift drive regularly, and react with percentage-lightspeed times. Other than that, their strength and durability are rarely that high. | A powerful inertial frame shift drive is required in all encounters. Hypermobility is a must. If I'm outsped for a second, I lose. Other than that, armor and good offensive capability aint really required. Just make sure to use a melee weapon, projectiles are useless at those speeds. |
| Mastermind | These guys control from the shadows, and rarely enter direct combat. They will usually command other anomalies to attack rather than doing it themselves. | You've got two options: stealth technology to sneak past the combatants, or overwhelming offensive capability to wear them down. Go with whichever is easier. |
| Teleporter | Says it right there on the tin: they can teleport. | Just bring a powerful Scranton Reality Anchor. 9/10 times they will tear themselves apart trying to teleport in its field |
| Immortal | Anything that can't be killed via the use of overwhelming firepower. Maybe they are impossible to hurt, maybe they regenerate in a new body each time they die, they all go here. | Usually the best and most simple way to deal with them is to… throw them into space. Use a suit with advanced thrusters and then bring them up into a very high orbit around the earth. High enough to the point where they won't decay, and gravitational interference won't deorbit them. Against particularly extreme cases: eject them from the solar system. |
| Leviathan | Anything that's fucking huge, damage output doesn't matter. Only been a few of these so far but they are not easy to take down. They very commonly borrow aspects from other classes. | The best method has been to solely use the Z-01 suit, the one you saw me use against the dragon. Making sure to modify it for specific powers, of course. |
| Elemental | These guys can control… "elements," like fire, water, rock, etc. They are annoying but usually go down easily | Focus on durability. Include multiple layers of different types of materials in order to tank several different types of damage output. An elemental can switch between freezing you and firing plasma bolts so plan accordingly. |
| Advanced | Usually some escaped Anderson robotics thing, usually a… robot of some kind | Fighting these using machines is incredibly risky, but I don't have much choice. Bombarding from a distance is a good option but also make sure to have an up-to-date electronic countermeasure suite. |
| God | A designation given to anything that would currently be impossible to kill, contain, or dispose of via other means | There's only like, 4 of these guys on Earth, luckily, but… there isn't a way to stop them. Or if there is, I simply don't know of it, and/or lack the technology to do so. That star heading towards us is an example of one, The big mechanical thing controlling parts of South America is another, you get the point. |
