Containment Procedures: SCP-3XXX is allowed to follow its selected path in Section 3XXX in Site 17, however it is not to be allowed outside of Section 3XXX due to the unsafe amount of traffic in the rest of the site. If any onsite person is to come into contact with SCP-3XXX, they are to report to the nearest medical station for electrical burn treatment.

Description: SCP-3XXX is a 1 meter-tall granite obelisk that is engraved with numerous alchemical symbols ranging in size from 1 centimeter to 3 centimeters tall. The object moves in a set, irregular pattern at a constant speed of 1 kilometer per hour. Each carved facet of the object has at least one symbol, with most having more, up to 32 per facet. Approximately half of the symbols are known to glow from an unknown source, and the object has been observed to alter the combination of lit and non-lit symbols at random.¹ Any biological matter that contacts a facet with more than one glowing symbol experiences severe electrical burns. The object will cease moving after contact occurs, before resuming movement after ~5 seconds. The method by which the object moves is still unknown.
The object was found after reports of what was originally called a "serial electrocution killer" were found in the town of ██████, NV.² Witnesses claimed that the object was found in the ruins of a castle. The witnesses were part of a guided tour, they had accidentally distanced themselves from the tour guide. Foundation recovery agents managed to secure the object, with Class B amnestics distributed to ~32% of the populace.
