Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is impossible to contain. All instances of SCP-XXXX-2 discovered are to be terminated on the spot and anyone from the public who have viewed SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-2 are to be administered Class A amnestics. One instance of SCP-XXXX-2 (labeled SCP-XXXX-2-A) is contained at Site-17 in a standard humanoid containment cell. SCP-XXXX-2-A is to be passed off to staff with a security clearance level of 1-3 as SCP-XXXX. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 is found on site and SCP-XXXX-2-A has been confirmed to still be in containment, an evacuation is to be issued of all sensitive data in that site to an undisclosed area.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a class 2 reality bending entity. It has the ability to disappear and reappear in a different place at its own will. Scranton Reality Anchors have proven ineffective to countering it’s ability. One theory to the method of SCP-XXXX's abilities suggest that SCP-XXXX can switch over to a different wavelength, untrackable by the foundation, at will where it has the ability to freely roam and pass through solid objects.
Whenever SCP-XXXX does disappear it leaves behind SCP-XXXX-2, a sort of “skin” of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX looks identical to SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 has none of the memories of SCP-XXXX initially, but it can occasionally recall events of its past from flashbacks it receives. SCP-XXXX-2 only remembers simple skills like the ability to speak in it’s own language and read and write simple English. SCP-XXXX-2 instances are extremely docile and compliant with foundation staff. SCP-XXXX-2 also lacks the ability to disappear like SCP-XXXX.
Very little is known about SCP-XXXX as it impossible to track the entity. The small amount the foundation does know of SCP-XXXX is through flashbacks from SCP-XXXX-2-A. It is known that SCP-XXXX is a spy with the intention of gaining sensitive information of the foundation which it then sends back to it’s species using a tablet, labelled SCP-XXXX-3. It is currently unknown why it wants the information.
A few days after the containment of SCP-XXXX-2-A, the foundation got several reports of a hooded figure matching the description of SCP-XXXX wandering around. It was confirmed that SCP-XXXX-2-A was still in containment. All copies of SCP-XXXX-2 reported were temporarily put into containment and later terminated. A proposal was passed by the O5 council that stated that SCP-XXXX-2-A should tell foundation staff about every single flashback it receives to help give information on SCP-XXXX. The proposal was relayed to SCP-XXXX-2-A to which it complied.
Addendum-XXXX-A: Collection of all important flashbacks reported to Dr. Tapine by SCP-XXXX-2-A. All speech from SCP-XXXX-2-A has been translated using SCP-XXXX-1.
At 9:37 on the 28th of September, 20██, SCP-XXXX-2-A requested to see Dr. Tapine. SCP-XXXX-2-A appeared very panicked and desperate to see him.
Begin Log:
SCP-XXXX-2-A: Mr. Tapine, thank you for being available to talk to me so quickly.
Dr. Tapine: No problem. What did you want to see me about?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I had another flashback that scared me. I think it’s very important that you know.
Dr. Tapine: Alright, please proceed.
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I was in this barren place with yellow soil, I believe it is my home planet, I think I’ve seen it from other flashbacks. Suddenly, my vision was tinged blue. I walked forward a few steps and looked back and saw… me. I then proceeded to walk through myself and go towards what I believe to be my home. Instead of opening the door I phased through it. I walked around the house phasing through doors and walls until I exited the house. I went back to the copy of myself, who looked very confused. Suddenly my vision returned to normal. The copy of myself seemed very surprised at my sudden appearance. I then… (SCP-XXXX-2-A appears very distressed)
Dr. Tapine: It’s okay. What happened?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I then killed the copy of myself. That’s when the flashback ended.
Dr. Tapine: Are you suggesting that SCP-XXXX has the ability to disappear and reappear in a different location at will?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I believe so.
Dr. Tapine: Are you able to disappear and reappear at will like SCP-XXXX?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I’ll admit, I did try. I don’t believe I can though.
Dr. Tapine: Thank you for your information, SCP-XXXX-2-A. You are free to go now.
End Log
Closing Statement: From the information SCP-XXXX-2-A gave researchers, we can assume the following things:
- SCP-XXXX can disappear and reappear at a different location at will.
- When SCP-XXXX does disappear, it makes a copy of itself, now labelled as SCP-XXXX-2.
- SCP-XXXX is a lot more dangerous then the foundation initially believed.
At 8:16PM on the 16th of October, 20██. SCP-XXXX-2-A requested to talk to Dr. Tapine, newly appointed the lead researcher of SCP-XXXX.
Begin Log:
Dr. Tapine: hello, SCP-XXXX. I heard you wanted to talk to me.
SCP-XXXX-2-A: Correct. I recently had a flashback of my past that I must report to you.
Dr. Tapine: Okay, please proceed.
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I was in a spacecraft and it seemed like I was going somewhere. I looked out through one of the windows and saw what I think is your planet. There were two other of my kind on the ship. I don’t really remember exactly what they said, but it was something along the lines of that I would be sent coordinates from a sort of tablet I had on me, and that I needed to go to those places and investigate. There was already some coordinates on the tablet, I think. I believe they also wanted me to send information back to them using the tablet.
Dr. Tapine: can you recall the coordinates?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: My apologies, but no. I do remember that the places I had to investigate had something to do with you and your organisation. After that I was teleported into a field identical to where I had my first memory.
Dr. Tapine: Are you suggesting that what you recalled from that flashback happened just before your first memory?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: Yes.
Dr. Tapine: Alright. The information you’ve given us is very useful. Do you remember anything else? Do you remember why they wanted you to investigate?
SCP-XXXX-2-A: I’m afraid not.
Dr. Tapine: That’s alright. Thank you for your cooperation. It’s extremely appreciated.
SCP-XXXX-2-A was then returned to it’s containment cell.
End Log
Closing statement: We can assume the following things from what SCP-XXXX-2-A has said:
- SCP-XXXX’s species is highly intelligent to a level of interstellar travel.
- SCP-XXXX is a spy.
- SCP-XXXX has been sent to spy on the foundation.
- The tablet referred to by SCP-XXXX-2-A in it’s flashback appears to not be passed on to SCP-XXXX-2 when SCP-XXXX disappears, making it anomalous in itself. The tablet will now be known as SCP-XXXX-3.
After the interview, Dr. Tapine checked the foundation’s satellite logs to see if any spacecraft were detected in Earth’s orbit at the approximate time and place of the incident. The results came back negative.
Addendum-XXXX-B: Instance of SCP-XXXX-2 found at Site-███. Site was put into lockdown and all scps and sensitive foundation information that can be relocated was moved to Site-███, an underground bunker for emergency evacuations of sites.
