Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a standard humanoid containment chamber, comprised of the reflective material compounds ██████ and ███, built and reinforced as of █████. Weekly checks for any cracks or holes are mandatory. There are to be absolutely no video surveillance devices with LEDs or illuminating optical tools of any kind inside SCP-XXXX's cell. Security personnel on-site will use provided pressure sensors and infrared laser devices to ensure SCP-XXXX's presence inside the cell, to maintain the blind surveillance by Dr. ███ Ochiva's imperative.

SCP-XXXX is contained in a corridor of Site ██ with other SCPs that have similar containment criteria (total darkness).

Personnel patrolling said area are advised to use only certain equipment outlined for specific locations on the map of this area. (See ████ Personnel Handbook, (Site ██) Vol. 2, pp. 136.)

Under no circumstances can light of any kind (except infrared) enter the cell.¹ The door leading to the cell has two airlocks to ensure no white or ultraviolet light enters its room. It is of utmost concern this is kept in mind whilst maintaining or cleaning SCP-XXXX's cell.

Personnel cleaning and maintaining this cell may not bring any objects or devices that may produce light and must use infrared optical devices. It may danger their lives as well as the lives of personnel surveilling the cell if the procedure is neglected.

The following is documentation of a series of tests conducted to confirm theories of SCP-XXXX's behavior.²

Test A - 1/23/██

Subject: SCP-XXXX

Procedure: Small pen-sized laser was inserted via D-Class and was activated from the safe-zone observation deck.

Results: Subject pounced on laser, shattering it before examining the broken pieces for six (6) minutes. The subject stood in place for twelve (12) seconds before darting to the airlock door and standing in front of it. It remained there for thirty-six (36) minutes.

Subject returned to its usual activity, pacing near the east end of the cell, and shuffling occasionally. Pressure sensors indicated it leaned on the wall for a few seconds before pacing again.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX is indeed hostile based on the lighting in its environment.

Test B - 1/25/██

Subject: SCP-XXXX, D-9329

Procedure: Seventeen pens scattered around cell via D-Class and were activated from the safe zone observation deck.

Results: Subject pounced on twelve (12) of the seventeen (17) lights.

Analysis: The lights destroyed in Test B were as follows: 3 LCD, 3 LED, 3 OLED, and 3 ████ (courtesy of Foundation research) lights; the five not destroyed were: 3 infrared and 2, in varying wavelengths. SCP-XXXX did not harm D-9329 as a result. Subject unable to detect such light, in conclusion.

Test C - 1/26/██

Subject: SCP-XXXX, D-9329

Procedure: The five pens from Test B (1/25/██) were left inside the cell, and D-9329 was summoned and sent inside. Lights were activated from the safe zone observation deck.

Results: SCP-XXXX did not react to D-9329's presence in any way, and stayed in place. D-9329 was returned to their cell upon exiting the airlock shaft.

Analysis: Test C further proves the conclusion of Test B.

Test D - 1/29/██

Subject: SCP-XXXX, D-9329

Procedure: D-9329 was left inside SCP-XXXX's cell for █ hours, to determine its reaction to extended human presence. After thirty-two (32) minutes, a small light fixture (OLED, for instantaneous activation and deactivation) on the base of D-9329's torso was illuminated remotely, once again from the "safe zone" observation deck. The light was illuminated for approximately 0.5 seconds before being deactivated, and pressure sensors detected SCP-XXXX to be four feet away from D-9329(at a speed not documented due to pressure sensor registry malfunction).

Results: D-9329 was not harmed, but was evidently frightened.³

Analysis: In proper conditions, SCP-XXXX is 100% docile to humans. The cell's pitch-black interior proved its true integrity.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity measuring approximately 1.88 meters in height. Subject shows little interest in anything except for itself. Arms are at an approximate length of 0.94 meters each. The skin of SCP-4940 has been measured via infrared devices to find it is always at fifteen (15) degrees Celsius no matter what the environment. It is unbothered by even some mildly extreme conditions.

SCP-XXXX is a non-sapient robotic entity with physical ability scores higher than the norm of an average human. Substances found to be human [REDACTED] cover its face, arms, and upper body, as well as pigments of dark green and crimson. It has been discovered that SCP-XXXX is unable to process certain wavelengths of light, given it does not seem to respond to any signals of light in the infrared threshold.

The documented speed of SCP-XXXX has varied from forty (40) km/h to ████ (██) km/h. At this point in time, regarded as the event horizon period by Dr. Ochiva, no material, method or action can desist SCP-XXXX's pounce upon the source of light and any humans or entities nearby.

SCP-XXXX is, in environments that permit, extremely docile. Pressure sensors inside its cell indicating its location reveal it spends most of its time by the east corner of its cell.

If an entity or human (who will from this point on be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) was to enter the cell, maintaining the dark interior environment, SCP-XXXX would be indifferent to SCP-XXXX-1's presence. However, if SCP-XXXX-1 is to break the environment's stability with white or ultraviolet light, SCP-XXXX will proceed to pounce.⁴

Upon arriving at SCP-XXXX-1's location, SCP-XXXX will proceed to [DATA EXPUNGED] SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX will sit in place for forty-two minutes, absolutely devoid of movement and sound. During this period, it is to be noted that SCP-XXXX does not respond as normal with exposure to light. It will not react in any shape or form.

This period of time is utilized by staff to clean up remains of SCP-XXXX-1 or any other residues inside. Personnel is cautioned to wait five minutes to ensure SCP-XXXX is in its dormant state, before going to work and leaving (at the latest) ten minutes before SCP-XXXX resumes function.

Due to the possibility of a breach of Foundation secrecy and large civilian loss of life, under no circumstances is SCP-XXXX to be moved from Site ██, except for a breach in its containment cell that may allow light inside.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in ████, Netherlands during a Foundation investigation of claims about missing persons related to a certain cave system. SCP-XXXX was found in the dark by a pile of partially consumed human bones and extremities. Due to the violent nature of SCP-XXXX in presence of light, it was located and classified indefinitely anomalous; it was captured and detained temporarily for later containment after 16 hours of planning by █████ Ochiva for containment process and approach. Unfortunately, ██ Foundation personnel and ██ D-Class (ephemerally believed to be a means of lure) were pounced and consumed with human ████ found nearby in the capturing of SCP-XXXX (recorded under 12/29/██, Site ██, Documentative Report 13A)."

It is "purely by chance," according to Foundation Tactical Specialists, that SCP-XXXX has never advanced outside the cave system and into the overworld. It is almost indefinite that, based on the size of the entire cave system and SCP-XXXX's movement habits, SCP-XXXX would have been outside and extremely hostile if it were to remain in the cave.

Any break of light in the cave was near instantly smothered by SCP-XXXX's advance.

Further investigation of the cave revealed a small aircraft, destroyed likely by entry into the atmosphere, with material compounds ██████ and ███ serving as a shell of uncanny reflective capability, to the point it appears an exact copy of the object in front of said compound is present, given proper shaping.

Samples of ██████ and ███ were later used to implement the containment cell of SCP-XXXX, to prevent light from entering via any source.

Malfunction of certain pressure sensors in the containment cell proved to have been broken due to scratches in rust on the walls. It has been concluded that SCP-XXXX is responsible, and the plates have been replaced but what was written has been recorded⁵ and the damaged plates have been kept in Site Storage for SCP-XXXX.

No further research is being conducted at this time.

1. Investigation of SCP-XXXX has revealed it cannot detect nor does it respond to instances of light with a wavelength larger than 770 nm, hence the ability to utilize infrared devices without provocation of SCP-XXXX's hostile state.

2. Currently, D-9329 is the only living human to have seen the appearance of SCP-XXXX in normal light.

3. D-9329 was given a Class-A amnestic and was examined for PTSD after claims of the "terrifying" appearance of SCP-XXXX gave D-9329 insomnia, nightmares, ███████s, and mental breakdowns upon any mention of SCP-XXXX.

4. SCP-XXXX is not affected by electromagnetic pulses, gamma radiation, or any invisible light/radio/microwave frequencies.
