Item #: SCP-5626
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5626 is currently contained in a locked storage locker number A01 in Research Sector-13. It used to be contained in Lab-019 in Research Sector-08 for experimenting purposes.
Previous Containment Procedure Method: While being tested on in Research Sector-08, SCP-5626 used to be left with a ████ brand laptop next to it. To prevent further harm to any future staff members, SCPs or subjects who may be in contact with said SCP after conducting the experiments, the laptop was removed in the process of re-transporting it to Research Sector-13.
Description: SCP-5626 is a white SD card adapter USB with an unlabeled SD Card inserted in the other end. The unlabeled SD card that was inserted in SCP-5626 was confirmed impossible to be removed and was affixed to the SCP. The adapter part of SCP-5626 has a little red LED light to indicate being plugged into an operating system and has black marker swatches covering the whole top surface of it. At first, it was unknown why there are black swatches on the SCP, but after further investigations and interviews with former friends and family of the original owner (See Addendum 5626.1), it seems like it was created by the original owner out of frustration and boredom when creating a show containing in the USB (which will be later labeled as SCP-5626-A). The USB tip of the SCP has been worned off and rusted due to frequent usage, but still usable and functioning when plugged in into an operating system.
SCP-5626-A is an 8.7GB folder contained in SCP-5626 named as "Harron_of_the_Barron" that can be viewed when plugged into an operating system. The folder itself contains a folder which has 1250 image file assets and concept illustrations. It also contains 5 episodes for an animated cartoon which has the same title name as the folder (replacing the underscores with spaces) and the episode files are labeled as "1", "2", "3", "4" and "5" while each being in an MP4 format. The synopsis of the cartoon that was gathered after further tests was about the protagonist, a boy in his young teens named "Harron", whom fights off dark, organic shape-shifters who are the henchmen for the antagonist, a "dark king overlord", with his own weapon, a blue, ice material dagger mentioned as "The Frostbite" in the cartoon.
When viewing the contents of SCP-5626-A, the animated cartoon doesn't seemed to be off as it is just as any generic children's cartoons found on TV channels such D████Y or C██████ N█████K. However, viewing the said content would cause side effects to the viewer when not taken into the precaution of not watching the episodes in it's entirety. Viewing three of any episodes contained in the content cumulatively would cause minor damages in the brain as some parts of the cerebrum seems to have been slightly altered or disfigured when the subject gone under a neuroimaging scan. However, the subject in question will not have any drastic changes other than confusing objects or people with elements in the cartoon. When viewing on a different episode afterwards (the fourth content), the subject will begin to refer themselves as "Harron" and begin to do abnormal acts such as vocally commune in dialogues said in the cartoon or "practicing with The Frostbite" when in contact with a weapon and holding it, they still retain their own personalities however as it can differ based on preferences or way of communication other than the abnormalities mentioned. The subject changes drastically when watching the last cumulative episode (the fifth content). The subject will act and communicate in an almost identical fashion as the protagonist in the cartoon, if not, more chaotic. The original personality and consciousness of the subject seemed to have been stripped away, remaining an almost physical clone of the main protagonist instead. They are now labeled as SCP-5626-B.
SCP-5626-B are human subjects who had viewed the entire five episodic content of SCP-5626-A. They still tend to do activities normally (eating, bathing, sleeping, etc.), but will attempt to steal any types of weapons in sight if not in watch. If the weapon were to be in watch or held by another being, they will attempt to beg for the weapon to be given to them, if not given, they will go ballistic and will attack the person while exclaiming the weapon being their "trusty Frostbite". If the SCP were to be in possession of a weapon, they would attack any beings nearby, thinking they are the antagonist's "henchmen". In the end of the rampage, they will execute themselves with the said weapon as they would have an existential crisis, realizing they are "not in Meadowville", an area where the cartoon content of SCP-5626-A took place. When placing SCP-5626-B under a neuroimaging scan, half of the cerebrum can be found almost entirely dissolved into a liquid-like state. It is currently unknown how or what the cause of the cerebrum dissolving when viewing contents of SCP-5626-A, although there are some theories ranging from the sound frequencies or the light rays in the visuals being the cause but those are confirmed to be false, either without evidence or misinformation of the SCP.
