Humble Beginnings

Running through the long hallways and corridors, no end in sight, Matthew runs into a dead end, suddenly out of the corridor of which he came, a man decomposed beyond belief, and covered in a strange black substance, walks menacingly towards him. feeling in the instinctual paralyzing fear, Matthew just sat on the ground terrified. As the man Drew closer and closer eventually towering over Matthew, thrusted his hand into Matthews pelvis, digging deeper and deeper into his body chuckling as he does so, the man then grabbed Matthew spine and teared it right out of his body. Then Matthew woke up in his bed at his one-room apartment. "Thank God" said Matthew wiping the cold sweat off his forehead. Matthew Thomas Whitaker was unemployed man with a with a degree in pretty much any form of science he tried to get many jobs and failed miserably in all of them, not even making it to the interview. Today however was different, he tracked down a job in a local pizzeria that somehow required a science degree, the name of the pizzeria was Spicy Crust Pizzeria. the pay wasn't much but it was enough to make a living. Actor Matthew got out of bed, he got dressed sharply mind you, grabbed his bag put a few granola bars in it, got in his car and headed off to the pizzeria.on his way to the pizzeria he contemplated the dream he had last night. he realized two things, one it made a lot of sense, usually dreams are just an assorted random jumble of weirdness, But this dream made a lot of sense, and also he could feel pain which is highly unusual in a dream, secondly she was female. "It's Just some random dream" Matthew said completely disregarding the dream as he pulled into the pizzeria. the first thing that Matthew noticed was that the parking lot was completely empty besides employee parking. As he walked in he saw that the store was closed which makes sense, nobody would park inside the pizzeria parking lot if it the store was closed for the day. As he walked in he saw the store was severely understaffed, understaffed meaning that there was only one person working there at the time.
