Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be placed within a 20m x 20m x 20m reinforced steel cell. This cell is to be monitored with CCTV 24/7, and security personnel are to guard the entrance in 6 hour shifts.
27 Tier-Ω Scranton Reality Anchors (SRA) are to surround SCP-XXXX in a Trihexagonal Kejel Strengthener Matrix. The matrix is never to be broken or disrupted except during routine cleaning of the SRAs. Every week, two Foundation scientists from the Reality sector are to repair the SRAs and clean them of any unreal residue. Two more Foundation scientists are to watch the cleaning and repairing of the anchors from the overhead control room, and to give the two scientists on the ground help with realigning the TKS. This operation is never to take more than 20 minutes. After each routine cleanup, all 4 scientists will be placed in a Tier-Ω Reality Unrealiser for 10 minutes.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a device which resembles a calculator, though it is made out of an anomalous material. It has a extraordinarily high Hume level of 80/4930. It has an adverse effect on all nearby forms of matter, turning all matter within its 15m diffusion radius more 'real'. It releases "reality waves" similar to a high-Hume reality bender, and the waves increase the Hume of nearby particles, turning them into a previously unknown state of matter. This transformation leaves some unreal residue, where Bayer's Laws of Reality do not affect it. The Foundation is currently collecting this residue for research, and has determined that short exposure to the residue is not harmful. Long term exposure to this residue will cause both biological and unbiological matter to adapt with its properties, making them too not affected by Bayer's Laws of Reality. The effects of SCP-XXXX can be reversed if the residue is removed within 10 days.
SCP-XXXX appeared inside the Reality Lab at Site-132 at 20 December 2004, 2:53 EST. No scientists were present when it entered our existence, but CCTV cameras recorded SCP-XXXX appearing out of nothing and landing on a laboratory desk. It has been theorized that it was transported from a previously unknown high-Hume universe, but the means that it was transported by are still being studied. If this theory is true, then this is the highest Hume universe known to the Foundation, but only third on the list of highest Hume objects found as of yet.
By pressing the numbers and operations on SCP-XXXX, one can open rifts into a parallel universe with that specific Hume signature of that result at that given point in time. Since Hume levels are constantly fluctuating, it is nearly impossible to open the same universe even with the same numbers selected.
