Item: SCP-XXXX – The German PO8 Lugar Pistol
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a wooden box of 10 cm in height, 30 cm in length and 20 cm in width and is only be removed for testing. There is a cabinet with different types of gloves in the same room as SCP-XXXX which are all at least 0,5 cm thick.
SCP-XXXX is only allowed to be accessed for testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a WW2 German PO8 Luger pistol. SCP-XXXX has a magazine containing 0 bullets.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was discovered in the city of ███████, Germany after police calls were made to inform that mass suicide was taken place. After the police started to perform the same action the SCP Foundation was called in.
Any human who holds SCP-XXXX gains a sudden urge to shoot themselves with SCP-XXXX. Should a D-Class shoot themselves with a bullet of SCP-XXXX then more than one anomaly can occur.
1. 50%: The D-Class dies by a metal bullet being shot in his/her head.
2. 35%: The D-Class gets teleported with all of his/her belongings on his/her body to another dimension without SCP-XXXX, letting it fall on the floor. It is thought to be a underground Nazi research facility after claims of the surviving D-Class, information on where SCP-XXXX was found and logical conclusions, henceforth the dimension will be referred as ‘NRF dimension’, short for ‘the Nazi research facility dimension’. Any D-Class will be attacked by the research facility staff, these staff will be referred as SCP-XXXX-2. Should a D-Class find a way out they will be teleported back to the exact location they were teleported away from. After having a D-Class survive while wearing a watch it is noted that time moves slower in the NRF dimension by 0,5% of normal time. Attempts has been made to teleport a D-Class with a camera, but have been unsuccessful as it seems that all camera’s stop working in the NRF dimension. Mapping out the NRF dimension prove difficult as surviving D-Class have different descriptions of the layout. It seems the NRF dimension changes its layout each time someone enters, making it impossible to create a map. More testing is required to perhaps bring back one SCP-XXXX-2 for further studies.
3. 15%: The D-Class gets shot by a bullet of SCP-XXXX but survives. The D-Class afterwards starts to yell the German words “Der Krieg ist verloren” meaning “The war is lost” until the D-Class I subdued. When the D-Class wakes up he/she remembers nothing of the last 20 hours. It is noted that the bullet was weaker and therefor the D-Class has a chance of surviving.
This is all very particular seeing how SCP-XXXX contains no bullets in its magazine.
Should the magazine be removed then SCP-XXXX will become passive and can be hold safely. It was thought that SCP-XXXX might have been specifically the magazine, but after testing the magazine of SCP-XXXX on another PO8 Lugar pistol it showed no effect. When testing SCP-XXXX with a different PO8 Lugar magazine it kept the same anomaly as it did with its original magazine. It is now clear that SCP-XXXX is the specific PO8 Lugar pistol.
SCP-XXXX can also be safely hold when a D-Class is wearing a glove of any material that is at least 0,5 cm thick. It is noted that the D-Class does not have the urge to soot themselves as long as SCP-XXXX does not come into contact with their skin. It has been discovered that shooting SCP-XXXX while wearing gloves has no special anomaly except that there is never the need to reload SCP-XXXX with a new magazine and can keep shooting which as of writing this seems to have no limit.
