Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently not contained by the foundation. Any online post or reports of SCP-XXXX are to be sent directly to the 05 council and MTF Alpha-1 ("Red Right Hand") is to be dispatched to detain any person claiming to have come in contact with SCP-XXXX. These persons are to be given class A amnestics and all photographic and video material containing SCP-XXXX is to be confiscated for analysis.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a female of Japanese descent appearing to be in her early twenties. SCP-XXXX has brown eyes, short brown hair is approximately 157 centimeters in height and believed to be around 50 kilograms in weight. SCP-XXXX has a large burn mark on its right hand and will usually try to hide this. It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX got this scar
When SCP-XXXX manifests it will always have an attire that matches the environment that it is in I.E in a more casual environment it will appear in the countries current casual fashion such as jeans, t-shirt, etc and in a professional environment, it will wear professional attire such as a knee length skirt and suit. Even though SCP-XXXX's attire changes its physical appearance has remained the same in every recorded encounter and does not appear to display any signs of aging even in more recent reports.
All subjects recorded to have come in contact with SCP-XXXX had recently gone through the loss of a loved one, massive financial loss, where diagnosed terminally ill or had gone through a traumatic experience right before they came into contact with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX will commonly manifest in the place the subject is attempting to cope with their loss be it at a bar, park, graveyard, etc.
SCP-XXXX will attempt to communicate with the subject. In every recorded case SCP-XXXX has always been able to speak the language of the subject. The languages SCP-XXXX has been observed speaking English, German, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Afrikaans, and Korean though it is speculated to speak even more languages. The conversations SCP-XXXX has with the subject will vary and will commonly deal with whatever is going on at the moment for example when in a bar setting SCP-XXXX may state that it has never been there before and asks for drink suggestions. No matter how isolated or disgruntled the subject is at the time they always reply positively to SCP-XXXX's attempts at conversation and appear to be far more lively in SCP-XXXX's presence. This is currently speculated to be some form of a memetic effect generated by SCP-XXXX. These conversations will always eventually veer into the subject's personal lives and what was causing them duress.
SCP-XXXX will then provide comfort to the subject and allow them to talk about whatever they need to often hugging or holding the hand of the subject to calm them down if they begin to cry or if they request it. After this SCP-XXXX will begin providing advice to the subject. The contents of the advice vary from subject to subject ranging from financial advice to how to write a will. Subjects who go through with SCP-XXXX's advice will always report being in far better emotional and mental state afterward.
SCP-XXXX will remain with the subject until they leave the premises of the property they found SCP-XXXX. Upon the subject exiting the property, SCP-XXXX may remain for up to ten minutes before it precedes to exit the property. Once SCP-XXXX has left the property and no one is currently actively viewing it, it is believed to demanifest itself. It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX is able to do this or where SCP-XXXX goes after it completes this process.
Individuals affected by SCP-XXXX share a few common attributes. Research into identified subjects has indicated that SCP-XXXX is more likely to appear if an individual:
- has never been convicted of a violent crime
- has prior or current service in their countries armed forces
- has volunteered within the community
- has worked in the medical field
- has been reported to have a caring personality by friends or family
- has little to no surviving friends or family
- has a history of working with people or animals
- displays a history of mental illness
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered in 2001 after people on multiple form sites began talking about experiences they had with SCP-XXXX and how it changed there lives for the better. Soon many people began to realize the similar physical description of the women across all of the stories and soon SCP-XXXX became an internet urban legend for some time. SCP-XXXX would also receive its colloquial name "Miss Fortune" at this time as no one knew its name and its apparent appearance after an individual has gone through some form of loss or unfortunate event. After the foundation staff found out about this a disinformation campaign was launched and all the original posters were found and given amnestics. It is currently unknown if SCP-XXXX has existed prior to 2001
