Exploration Log 1A
D-1728 is standing outside of SCP-XXXX, equipped with a head-mounted video camera, a microphone, and a flashlight.
Dr. Merigold: "Please proceed into the warehouse. We will be writing down everything you see, as well as recording it."
D-1728: "Sure thing." D-1728 steps through the threshold. The camera displays a rough white wall. D-1728 looks up, showing the wall extending approximately 60 meters above him.
D-1728: "Woah." D-1728 turns around, revealing that the entrance has turned into a smooth wall behind him. "The hell? You seeing this?"
Dr. Merigold: "Unfortunately, yes." Dr. Merigold waves over Researcher Violette, who begins taking notes. "Please proceed further in."
D-1728 shrugs nonchalantly and continues into SCP-XXXX. There are many more bends in the path, with multiple forks. "It's a labyrinth in here, man. How am I going to get out?"
Dr. Merigold: "We can retrace your steps using your camera and retrieve you then. Please, keep going." Researcher Violette is called away by someone off-screen and leaves the room, handing the notepad to Dr. Merigold. He takes over taking notes.
D-1728 continues down the first fork, reaching a dead end. "Nothing this way." Violette walks back into the room, confused. Dr. Merigold frowns and waves her over again. She walks over and stands there, staring at the screen. She opens her mouth to say something, but stops.
Dr. Merigold turns his head to look at her. "You okay?"
Violette nods. "…Yeah, I'm fine." He gives her the notepad, and she resumes taking notes.
[30 minutes pass uneventfully. D-1728 has explored much deeper into the maze.]
D-1728 turns around, stopping. "What else do you need? Can I leave yet?"
Dr. Merigold looks down at the notes and nods. "Yep, you're free to go. Stay there for now; we'll trace your steps with a drone." He turns off the camera feed, and they get up and leave.
