Item #: SCP-5025
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures There is no containment at this time. SCP-5025 is currently drifting 1,536 miles out of Pluto's orbit. Containment is impossible due to the velocity of its drift that is 50- [data expunged] mph and due to the size of it. stabilizing the dwarf planet was attempted by using [data expunged] the devices were never placed though because the probes containing them were disconnected before they were ever placed.
Description The dwarf planet has a reddish-orange surface with raging sandstorms, which is impossible as the planet has no atmosphere. The dwarf has low gravity, as much as our moon.
during their connection, the probes took multiple photographs, some showed a barren landscape covered by sandstorms that appeared to look like Mars' landscape. The other photos showed behemoths with skin shaped and tinted not unlike SCP-106's.
The creatures officially designated SCP-5025-1 are as large as a small modern suburban household. when SCP-5025-1 was closely examined, it was discovered that they looked to be in despair of untold tragedies.
Researcher/astrologer Dr.[Data Hidden] theorized that SCP-5025 was a thriving planet before it was in a large scale planetary war or some other destructive catastrophe that sent it drifting with all of its life dead.
He also stated that he believed that the SCP-5025-1's are the reanimated corpses that were reanimated by a disease that the planet caught along its drift. the corpses were somehow preserved in the nonexistent atmosphere. SCP-5025 is now also currently doing something damaging to Pluto. The foundation discovered this after looking closely at Pluto to see if SCP-5025 was doing any damage to the Dwarf planet, it was clear that the planet's surface was starting to take on the color of SCP-5025's surface. Dr. [Data Hidden] has ordered all contact with Pluto to be hereby against regulations as the disease that may have reanimated the SCP-5025-1's may have infected Pluto as well.
Addendum #1 [it is not yet known why all five probes were all disconnected one hour into each of their missions, a crew of two researchers and three security personal was sent to SCP-5025 with the same result of disconnection one hour after touchdown.]
mission report
The following is the reported events of the hour long mission to SCP-5025
Commander "We are approaching touchdown."
there's a pause
Dr. [Data Hidden] "The landing zone is clear except for a destroyed Foundation drone."
The commander is obviously curious
Commander "Could we get a description?"
Dr. [Data Hidden] "It's been crushed."
Another pause
Dr. [Data Hidden] "It's odd…it's not clear how it's ruined."
Officer [data Hidden] "anything moving?'
Dr. [Data Hidden] "negative."
The team landsbeyond this is all important documentations
The team had investigated the probe and upon closer inspection it was found to have to have been crushed by a large object and moved from it's original landing.
