Special Containment Procedures: SCP - XXXX is to be contained in a 6 x 6 x 6 chamber, in a secluded sublevel wing of Area - 02. The chamber is to be fully illuminated via overhead lights at all times, and the provided with its own backup generator in case of an outage. Four foundation personnel are required to monitor SCP - XXXX at all times. These four personnel, and by extension all personnel in the facility, must be prepared with high - powered flashlights accessible at all times, with a battery life exceeding 12 hours or more.
Should the lights go out in SCP - XXXX's chamber at any time, it is to be considered breached until further notice and the facility put on high alert. Should SCP - XXXX successfully breach containment, any newly infected personnel are to be terminated immediately. If it cannot be determined if any personnel have been successfully infected, they are to be terminated regardless.
Description: SCP - XXXX is an entity roughly humanoid in appearance. It is approximately 2.19456 meters in height, with disproportionately long limbs. Its head and face are almost completely hidden by a hood-like structure that is part of SCP - XXXX's body. Its hands consist of four long fingers, with a thick black web stretched between. On the underside of each hand is a fifth digit, that more resembles as claw than a thumb. In the center of each hand is a long needle-like structure, approx. 17.78cm in length, which is completely retracted when not in use.
SCP - XXXX is capable of leaving its physical form and manifesting as a shadow, allowing it do travers any physical barrier. However, it cannot leave its physical form if there is too much light for shadows to appear in the first place. To circumvent this, SCP - XXXX is seemingly capable of manipulating electricity, at least to the extent of turning it off. It cannot do this constantly, generally needing to wait around 24 - 73 hours before causing another power surge.
If SCP - XXXX escapes containment and finds any personnel off-guard, it can 'infect' them. It does this by grabbing the victim by head, the webbed digits covering the top of the head and the fifth hooking somewhere on the face. The needle is then unsheathed, and punctures directly through the forehead and skull. Almost instantly, SCP - XXXX takes a copy of all the information available to the victim, while simultaneously delivering a strand of its own genetic information. This DNA blends near perfectly with the victim's, and the puncture wound of the needle heals almost instantly in most cases, making it incredibly difficult to determine if an individual has been infected without it being witnessed.
