Interview Conducted by ████ Henceforth known as: "Jones"
JONES: Good Morning Doctor, I understand you are ready to discuss the Finding of SCP-3955?
DOCTOR: Yes, I was informed it was necessary by the Foundation, I feel it's time to put this to rest.
JONES: I'm Glad to hear it, So let's start from the beginning I suppose?
DOCTOR: Of Course, I was the senior Officer in charge of acquisition of the Specimen, I was the leader of our group, and responsible for the completion of the mission.
JONES: What was your Mission, Doctor?
DOCTOR: The Foundation Informed me of a group of Monks, Living in the Himalayas, Way up in the mountains. Each one of our Group was briefed individually, mind you.
(Dr.██████ Pauses for a moment at this point of the Interview)
DOCTOR: We Were Tasked with the retrieval of a specimen that this group had come into possession of, A "Holy Beetle" they called it. The Mission was to Bring the specimen back under any circumstances.
JONES: What happened once you were deployed in the Mountains?
DOCTOR: We Worked our way to the Temple the Monks were supposedly holding the Specimen at, About a days hike away. We didn't talk to one another the whole time.
JONES: Really? not a word?
DOCTOR: Our Senior Gunner, █████ Kept praying, Mumbling to himself and the like, He seemed like a spiritual type. I think he had us all a little high-strung
JONES: Spiritual type? What do you mean?
DOCTOR: The Himalayas, They're Indescribable. Very Spiritual people. Turns out a lot of Flora in the area contain Psychoactive compounds, These Monks, They make tea from it.
JONES: I see, Once you reached the temple?
DOCTOR: I was told we would try to reason with the Monks, Barter with them, I thought we would be able to use reason to obtain the specimen, But it quickly became apparent that My Squads orders had differed from mine.
JONES: Your squad engaged the Monks?
DOCTOR: Not quite, Our two gunners. Once we entered the temple we could smell…
Some kind of gas, It had a strange metallic taste to the smell, It was as if the creature was an idol to them, They Had it in the center of the grand room, Allowing it to feed off of them at its leisure.
JONES: What of your Squad Doctor?
DOCTOR: Yes, of course. The two gunners began to open fire out of no where… It was apparent the gas had began to effect them as they were shouting non-sense about "the Frequency" and things like "Beware the watchers behind your eyes"
(Doctor seems to develop a puzzled look at this point, As if he's misplaced something)
DOCTOR: The gunners eventually managed to shoot down all the monks, at that point ██████
opened fire on our translator, Then the senior gunner. at that point I grabbed my Tact knife and…
JONES: You don't need to go any further.
DOCTOR: The Creature had disappeared after all the commotion, I was the only one left alive.
JONES: You were Unaffected by the gas?
DOCTOR: It seemed as though Waves were crashing over my eyes but no, I don't think I was effected, not mentally impaired, if that's what you're suggesting.
JONES: How was the specimen retrieved?
DOCTOR: I thought I was dead in the water until, It bit me. I fell to the ground, Thriving in pain.
Or at least, Trying to. I couldn't move, I was just overcome with fear. Pure Fear. But it let go of me,
It was like it just went to sleep, like you do after a Good meal.
JONES: You managed to remain Cognitive?
DOCTOR: Yes strangely enough, It was like a shouting was keeping me awake. I could swear I heard talking, But, No one was alive to speak. I collected SCP-3955 and returned it to the compound.
JONES: Thank you for your time Doctor
