Dr. Hellion Drafts
Item #: SCP-NUM
Object Class: Safe Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-NUM is to be kept in an air-tight containment locker and no direct light to reduce degradation within High Value Storage locker at site-██. Personnel need O-5 approval to authorise testing.
SCP-NUM does not cause immediate danger for containment unless activated, but should the wrong person use it it could lead to an XK-End-of-the-World-scenario.
D-Class testing is strictly prohibited and will be met with immediate termination.
Description: SCP-NUM is a single sheet of A6 stripped paper with various doodles and text in varying handwritings in English and LANG2. On the front at the top line of the page is the line "I am" written by a 1970 Siemens T100S typewriting machine. Carbon 14 dating has revealed the paper not being than a year while the text "I am" has been dated to the late 1970s. See Addendum NUM.3.
Whenever someone writes a property about something regarding the grammar about what, who or themself, that property will be applied to the writer. The writing needs to have meaning to work and does not depend on language, miss-spelling or visible gibberish. Written in gibberish with no meaning does not activate SCP-NUM's anomalous effects and simpy counts as a use of that line.
Erasing already written text does nothing to the affected individual and writing over erased-, present text- or on the same line as already present text does not activate SCP-NUM's anomalous effects. Same goes for modifying the meaning of a line.
Due to the limited use of SCP-NUM and properties; testing needs to be approved by O-5 Command.
Addendum NUM.1: SCP-NUM was recovered in ████-03-22 in LANG2C ██████████████ private school after reports of students vandalising the school. Police were unable to contain the situation and the Foundation was contacted. Four students; ████ █████████ (1), ████████ ██ ██████ (2), █████ ████ (3) and ████ ████ (4) were shown to possess various anomalous properties such as flight, superhuman strength, energy manipulation and ability to generate [DATA EXPUNGED].
████████ ██ ██████ (2) and █████ ████ (3) was terminated when trying to suppress them and ████ █████████ (1) was terminated when trying to escape with SCP-NUM. ████ ████ (4) was contained and given the designation SCP-█████. Amnestics were distributed and a cover story made.
The true origin of SCP-NUM is unknown as ██████████████ private school did not own any printers of that kind
Addendum NUM.2:
Due to SCP-NUM's reality-warping capabilities, testing is prohibited with D-Class and need O-5 approval for testing.
- Permission to upgrade SCP-NUM from object class Safe to object class Keter.
- Permission approved.
Addendum NUM.3:
An investigation of the origin of SCP-NUM has been initiated with the goal to duplicate SCP-NUM's anomalous properties.
Addendum NUM.4:
- Permission neutralize SCP-NUM.
- Permission denied.
Preface: SCP-NUM was acquired earlier that day, see Addendum NUM.1.
Item: SCP-NUM
Subject: D-77821
Description: SCP-NUM was placed on a table with a plastic sheet on top of it with a rectangular hole to a single un-written line on SCP-NUM. D-77821 was given a pen and told to write the word "dog" on it.
Result: D-77821 was 0.15 seconds after finishing writing the word "dog" anomalously transformed into a canine of breed Rottweiler. Subject appears distressed and runs around the testing chamber barking and sneezing while continuously falling over when trying to stand on two legs.
Subject is shown to still remaining its human memories but steadily over three days loses its mental capabilities until it has the mentality of that of a common dog of that breed. Autopsy shows no abnormalities apart from various scars D-77821 had as a human in anatomical correct placements.
Item: SCP-NUM
Subject: D-77840
Description: SCP-NUM was placed on a table with a plastic sheet on top of it with a rectangular hole to a single un-written line on SCP-NUM. D-77840 was given a pen and told to write the word "flying" on it.
Result: 0.20 seconds after D-77840 had finished writing the word "flight" begun to levitate in place. D-77840 hit the roof of the chamber and was unable to move from there and had to be tied down with a pulley rope anchored to the floor to keep D-77840 from levitating.
Over time D-77840 managed to learn to control this effect and could propel itself in the air to reach a top speed of 65 km/h. D-77840 had to be conscious to remain in the same place and would float upwards indefinitely unless hindered by a roof or other means.
Item: SCP-NUM
Subject: D-77844, suffering from Parkinson's disease and damaged lungs for forty (40) years of smoking.
Description: SCP-NUM was placed on a table with a plastic sheet on top of it with a rectangular hole to a single un-written line on SCP-NUM. D-77844 was given a pen and told to write the word "healthy" on it.
Result: Approximately 3-4 seconds after D-77844 had finished writing the word "healthy" suddenly stopped shaking. Lung capacity returned back to normal and was in generally good health for his age.
Item: SCP-NUM
Subject: Dr. Wasigii
Description: Dr. Wasigii wrote the word "Good eyesight" on SCP-NUM.
Result: Dr. Wasigii's eyesight which was previously scored at 20/100 is now 20/20. Dr. Wasigii was relocated to site-SITE2 for breaking and disregarding safety measures for undocumented potentially hazardous SCPs.
Item: SCP-NUM
Subject: D-77904
Description: SCP-NUM was placed on a table with a plastic sheet on top of it with a rectangular hole to a single un-written line on SCP-NUM. D-77904 was given a pen and told to write the word "dead" on it.
Result: D-77904 broke containment by removing his leg cuffs and destroying the chamber door resulting in eighteen (18) foundation causalities before D-77904 was suppressed and terminated.
D-77904 had disregarded the orders and had written the words: "super strong". All further testing with SCP-NUM is now prohibited with D-Class. Upgraded object class to Keter.
<BEGIN LOG>
We should be thankful that the casualties were kept to a minimum. If D-77904 was more creative he could have probably just written: "Superman", "Dr. Manhattan" or just "God" or some other invincible force. Worst case scenario could've had lead to an XK.
Pause
"Curiosity killed the cat…" I hope we learn from this in case we aren't as lucky next time.
