Item #: SCP-####
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: While not being actively tested, SCP-#### is to be kept in a standard Safe-class containment locker in Site-128. Testing upon SCP-#### must be supervised by a researcher of Level 3 clearance or greater. SCP-####-1 is to be kept in a separate Safe-class containment locker in Site-128. At no point should SCP-####-1 or any of its contents enter SCP-####’s containment locker without direct clearance by Level 4 personnel.
Description: SCP-#### is a wine glass measuring roughly 10 cm x 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm and weighing approximately 250 grams. Tests reveal that when filled with a liquid, SCP-#### exhibits various anomalous behavior depending on the liquid with which it is filled.
SCP-#### was previously held on display in the █████ Museum in █████████. It has been reported by the staff who originally monitored the item that it dates back to 16██. The object was originally displayed alongside SCP-####-1 at the ██████ exhibit, which at the time resembled a bottle full of red wine.
The wine glass's anomalous properties were discovered in 19██ when an earthquake shook the glass and bottle off of their display case. This fractured the bottle, allowing the contents of SCP-####-1 to enter SCP-#### which witnesses report caused [DATA EXPUNGED]. This eventually resulted in two deaths and five injuries. It should be noted that SCP-#### appears to have a higher resistance to shattering than that of a non-anomalous wine glass, while SCP-####-1 does not.
Following the aforementioned earthquake, SCP-####-1 was found mostly shattered. Only the bottom quarter of the bottle remains intact, and only approximately 80ml of SCP-####-1’s contents were successfully recovered from the █████museum exhibit.
The results regarding testing on liquids inside of SCP-#### are as follows:
Please note that each of the following tests was performed with exactly 50ml of the indicated liquid.
Substance: Water
Result: Within one minute of the water being poured, ripples could be observed along the water within SCP-####. This rippling continued at the same intensity until approximately ten minutes had passed, at which point the water stilled.
Substance: Seawater
Result: Results identical to freshwater.
Substance: Cow Milk
Result: After 24 hours, no anomalous behavior was exhibited at which point the milk was removed.
Substance: Human Blood
Result: Upon being poured, the blood begins to splash so violently that the blood is quickly flung from the glass. This behavior continues until no blood remains within the glass.
Substance: Red Wine (Merlot that Dr. █████ purchased from ███████.)
Result: When poured, the red wine appeared to drain slowly out of the bottom of the glass, though nothing could be observed exiting the glass. It took nearly 32 seconds for 100ml of red wine to completely drain from SCP-####.
Substance: White Wine (Sauvignon blanc that Dr. █████ purchased from ███████.)
Result: When poured, the white wine rapidly drained out of the glass. It took only eight seconds for 100ml of white wine to drain out of SCP-####, though similarly to red wine, no liquid could be observed exiting the glass.
It was originally theorized that the wine was being vaporized by SCP-#### rather than ‘drained,’ but recent testing of the air composition near the object reveals that no wine can be found in the atmosphere after testing. This suggests that vaporization is not the method by which the wine is being removed from the glass.
Substance: Contents of SCP-####-1:
Result: Immediately after being poured, all living matter within a three meter-radius of SCP-#### is instantly vaporized, and all living matter within a ten meter-radius suffers severe burns. This effect has been able to pass through every surface tested so far.
Note from Dr. Burton:
I have recently received numerous requests regarding the usage of SCP-#### as a ‘party trick’ during office gatherings. Please note that all similar requests will be denied immediately. Any attempts to steal SCP-#### for such inappropriate uses will be punished severely.
