Chess glass set usually mentioned in SCP-3XXX statements.

Item #: SCP-3XXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Foundation web-crawlers are to monitor LGBT-related discussion forums and social media with the keywords 'transsexual', 'transgender', 'chess' and 'glass'.

If any keywords matching SCP-3XXX are found, Foundation-made automatic scripts will reply to said discussions or messages. These should deny any SCP-3XXX-related statement made by the original poster, and dismiss them as mere coincidences or jokes.

No further action is required, as the likelihood of civilian population accepting SCP-3XXX-related phenomena as nothing more than a coincidence has been deemed almost impossible by the O5 Council.

Description: SCP-3XXX is a memetic phenomenon that manifests itself on transsexual and transgender individuals. Nine out of ten trans people will report having owned, or have come in contact with, a glass chess set for extended period of time in their life, particularly the ones sold by Cardinal Industries, Inc.. There is no other link between individuals affected by SCP-3XXX besides being transsexual and transgender people.

Over three thousand glass chess set have been examined by Foundation researcher, and so far none that has been manufactured in the last ██ years has proven to be anomalous. Companies that manufacture and distribute glass chess set globally are non anomalous. The theory of glass chess sets having any relation with gender dysphoria has also been examined, and no discernible link has been found.

It is hypothesised that SCP-3XXX is an unknown 'universal law', as it happens frequently enough to not a mere coincidence.

Addendum 3XXX.1: Discovery

SCP-3XXX was discovered by Researcher S█████ and Junior Researcher Tasi █████. During their break time after an uneventful experiment with SCP-████, Junior Researcher Tasi browsed the website 4chan, an English-language imageboard website split into various boards. While browsing the board /LGBT/ -A board related to all LGBT-related discussion-, she saw a thread that asked users if they ever owned a glass chess set.

The thread had over 140 responses and 100 different unique posters, each explaining how they have came into contact with a glass chess set in their life.

The following is an excerpt of Junior Researcher Tasi's statements after finding the event and trying to report it to Researcher S█████, caught by the security camera of Site-██'s Cafeteria.

Junior Researcher Tasi: Seeing all of those responses… It didn't feel like a mere coincidence. There's something odd with this. Look at this! Look at it!

Researcher S█████: Come on, now! Don't you think you are exaggerating a bit? Not everything is an anomaly. This might very well be a coincidence and nothing else. I know you are still fairly new to this, but you should know that in the past, the Foundation has had its fair share of mistakes. That's something you learn with time, my friend.

Junior Researcher Tasi: Stop patronizing me and have a look at this.

The Junior Researcher shoved her phone's screen to Researcher S█████'s face

Researcher S█████: It's just a dumb coincidence, and take that phone out of my face, rookie.

Junior Researcher Tasi put her phone on her lab-coat's pockets

Junior Researcher Tasi: Well, I had this same glass chess set, and this seems like a minor anomaly to me. I will report it and you will see!

Junior Researcher Tasi storms out of the cafeteria, as Researcher S█████ proceeds to finish her meal.
