Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a standard holding facility meant for six Class D personnel. Each of these D-Class personnel are to be armed with a standard issue firearm with lethal rounds. D-class are to be rotated out every saturday and any personnel are not to stay within the holding facility for more than one week in their entire life-time. Should any of the D-Class personnel attempt to interact with SCP-XXXX, the rest are to kill that individual without hesitation. Failure to do so will be met with termination. Should a gunshot be heard from the facility, no personnel is allowed within 600 meters of the facility for the next 6 hours, whereafter a recovery team will be allowed in to recover any casualties. Only two of the D-Class personnel are allowed to be sleeping at any time. Failure to meet this requirement will lead to immediate termination.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a deck of an unknown number of irregularly faced cards enclosed in a small wooden box. Estimations place around 100 cards within the box, however no personnel has been capable of counting the number of cards, due to its anomalous effects.
At random intervals, an average of [Redacted] times a year since SCP-XXXX-1's recovery, a single individual within a 60 meter radius of SCP-XXXX-1 will be compelled to try and figure out what is truly on the face of all the cards. Anyone affected by this compulsion will continually be refered to as SCP-XXXX-2. Addendum-2 has details on what happens should no instance of SCP-XXXX-2 be created in this process.
Anyone killing an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 will themselves turn into an instance of SCP-XXXX-2.
Once SCP-XXXX-1 has been opened, this will start an SCP-XXXX-3 event, including all
SCP-XXXX-3 will take place over an amount of hours equal to 6 minus the number of instances of SCP-XXXX-2 were slain since the last SCP-XXXX-2 was created by SCP-XXXX-1. If the time is less than 1 hour, all current instances of SCP-XXXX-2 will die, only for an attempt to create a new one.
