IceboundCat6

Object class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4929 is to be secured in a soundproof chamber at Site-██. SCP-4929 will only be taken out during testing. (See Addendum 4.5.4929) All testing is to take place in this chamber. Any deviation will result in removal from SCP-4929's research team.

Description: SCP-4929 is a nondescript bronze cube, measures approximately 5×5×5 inches, and weighs ██ pounds. When any questions asking for personal information (in person or online) is asked within the current room SCP-4929 is in, or a 5 meter radius if outside, it will repeat the word "No" in a deep human male voice. Volume will start at 5 db, and increase at roughly 1 db per second until the questioner leaves the room, and in the case of online interactions, the computer is removed or the subject in some way leaves the chat.

Testing of SCP-4929:

Test 1:
D-192762 enters with D-29373.
D-192762 asks where D-29373 lives. SCP-4929 activates, startling both D-Class. "No" is repeatedly heard through a microphone on D-192762. Both subjects are in the room for 1 minute, at which point the volume of SCP-4929 was 65 db.

Test 2:
D-29377 enters the chamber with D-28266. 28266 asks for 29377's name. SCP-4929 did not activate.
(Note: D-28266 knew D-29377's name beforehand.)
4929 only seems to activate if the question's answer is not already known. -Dr. ██████

"Test" 3:
During a transfer of SCP-4929 to a different site, Dr.  █████ asked Dr. █████how his children were doing. SCP-4929 activated, and when 4929 arrived on-site, vehicle db readers indicated a level of ███ db. When both personnel left the vehicle, 4929 fell silent.
More testing is required to see 4929's maximum volume. -Dr.  █████

Test 4:
3 D-Class were inserted into SCP 4929's chamber. 2 D-Class asked the other D-Class personal questions. Once 4929 activated, the rate of repeating "No" doubled, as well as the db/s increase.
No more than 3 D-Class are permitted for testing. Don't want the damn thing to break containment by saying "No" so loud as to break its soundproof chamber. Maybe we should classify 4929 as Euclid following this test.
-Dr.███

-No. 05-█

Test 5:
Two D-Class enter 4929's chamber. One asks the other for their mother's maiden name. SCP-4929 activates. The questioned D-Class answers.
4929 halves its repetition of "No," as well as its increase in volume. Stopped completely upon both D-Class exiting the room.

Test 6:
One (1) standard Fountation PC
Two (2) D-Class

D-Class started the computer, and opened a chat room, which had one other D-Class operating another computer. One D-Class asked the other where they lived, and SCP-4929 activated. 4929 stopped upon removal of the computer.

Addendum 4.5.4929:

At 12.15 AM April █ at Site-██, a distress signal was received, but inaudible due to the word "No" overtaking the speaker. This was assumed to be due to SCP-4929, and a drone was sent to the site to investigate. In the cafeteria, one deceased D-Class was found, along with SCP-4929. Drone successfully pulled the D-Class out, and SCP-4929 fell silent. Suspected reason for the activation of 4929 was "small talk" in the cafeteria.

Origin: SCP-4929 was found in an abandoned factory in ████, ████
