Item: SCP-4606
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
All subjects inside SCP-4606 are to be retrieved as soon as possible. SCP-4606 is to be contained on site. Due to no known way of seizing SCP-4606, it is to be disguised as a normal snow storm. Any civilian that learns the power of SCP-4606 shall be given anesthetics. Any entity attempting to enter SCP-4606 shall be seized and disarmed. Lethal forces are permitted to use if there is an immediate threat. No less than 4 personnelle of clearance level 3 or higher are to be stationed on site. Researchers level 2 or lower shall not be permitted access to SCP-4606 unless permitted by a member of the 05 Council.
In the event that an instance of SCP-4606 was to breach containment, it is to be immediately terminated via lethal force, and it’s escape to be extensively investigated. During a breach investigation, all access to SCP-4606 is to be strictly prohibited to personnel of clearance 4 or lower. Any personnel of clearance level 5 must be accompanied by at least three other members before entering.
SCP-4606 came to foundation attention after an instance of SCP-4606-1 emerged form SCP-4606. The subject was captured for research and all witnesses were given class A Amnestics. The instance of SCP-4606-1 was used for research purposes.
If no subject has emerged from SCP-4606 in 89 days, and an instance SCP-4606 occurs, then a Mobile Task Force - Flame of the Cold is to be sent into SCP-4606 to attempt to save any subjects captured within SCP-4606. Mobile task force will be armed with standard mobile task force weaponry, three flares, and a megaphone. Mobile task force are to attack any hostile instance of SCP-4606 that appears. The procedure for mobile task force is as follows:
1, At least 15 members of the mobile task force are to enter SCP-4606.
2, Subsequent to entering SCP-4606, mobile task force are to evaluate their location, using the map provided.
3, The task force will split into five groups of three, then proceed to the five largest towns within SCP-4606.
4, Once a group has reached a town, they are to activate one flare, and alert citizens of evacuation with the megaphone.
5, After all citizens are gathered the subject are to directed towards the storm.
6, Once all subjects exit SCP-4606, they are to be classified as amnesiacs, and released into the world.
Description: SCP-4606 is the designation given to an anomalous blizzard, the contents of it, and the beings that live within the realm of SCP-4606, nicknamed The Tundra.
SCP-4606 is a large snowstorm located four kilometers north of , Canada. This storm consists of 230 km/h winds, 6 inches of snow per hour, and -80o C temperatures. The storm has never been recorded to seize. The storm was unknown to have anomalous properties until April 31, 20, when a group of survivors emerged from the storm. Foundation staff arrived on the scene on May 3, 20 when the survivors explained what was inside of the blizzard to the local police department. Seven of the eight survivors were given class A amnesiacs, while the oldest of the group, who pleads to remain anonymous, was taken by the foundation staff for research purposes. (See Journal log.)
After entry of SCP-4606, the storm will appear to dissipate to the subject roughly 10 minutes later. By this time the subject has now entered SCP-4606. It is unknown to researchers how the blizzard transfers subjects from reality to SCP-4606.
The location that subjects find themselves in after entering SCP-4606 resembles the Canadian tundra. This is referred to as the tundra. The tundra has three biomes, each with special properties. They are listed as the flatland, the forest, and the ocean. Along with these biomes and abnormal occurrences, one day and night cycle in the tundra lasts 72 hours.
The flatland is a 3km2 barren area, where animals, and some flowers can be found. This flatland is overall barren and without the aid of other biomes, cannot support any life other than few small plants. This place can be dangerous at night and if distracted, can be fatal.
‘The Forest’ is a 1km2 grassy plateau with trees, and various other plants and animals. The plateau that ‘The Forest’ resides on stretches over 1km high. It is located at the north western corner of the island of SCP-4606. This place is a haven for animals, and is by far the deadliest, but also most resourceful place in the tundra.
‘The Water’ is the ocean around the island. The ocean, in some places, reaches down to over 2km. These environments can be deadly if unprepared, but are only the second most fatal biome in the tundra.
SCP-4606-1 is a unidentified creature of the Ursus Phylum. SCP-4606-1 does not have facial features. This includes eyes. SCP-4606-1's facial region only consists of a snout and a nose. SCP-4606-1 has teeth measuring an average of 5 cm. The teeth of SCP-4606-1 are capable of piercing through 2 inch thick steel with little to no structural damage to the tooth. The jaws of SCP-4606-1 can apply up to 312 lbs/in2. SCP-4606-1 are capable of reaching speeds of 60 km/h in an aquatic scene, and up to 65 km/h in a dead sprint. SCP-4606-1 wears hide that is impenetrable by knife with density less than 19.3 g/cm. The hide is penetrable by firearms. SCP-4606-1 heals at a anomalous rate. SCP-4606-1 has been recorded to completely heal from 3 stabs directly to the facial region within 30 minutes.
It is currently unknown to the SCP Foundation where the young of SCP-4606-1 come from, as all known instances of SCP-4606-1 are male. A common theory is that the females of SCP-4606-1 stay in the dens that are located under the sea. This claim was made after researchers discovered that on an unconscious male SCP-4606-1 had fur on it of another instance of SCP. The fur found on the unconscious bear was put through many trials and tests by researchers. Further DNA inspections on the fur matches that of a female polar bear. Researchers believe that the bears dens are located underwater for two main reasons.
SCP-4606-1 have the capability to survive underwater for up to 3 hours. Researchers believe that this is an evolutionary trait that is unnecessary for catching SCP-4606-4. This leads to the inference that SCP-4606-1 uses this extra storage of air to reach the entrance point of their den.
Multiple accounts of SCP-4606-1 breaching the ice and snow to reach water over 9 meters under the ice. Further investigation shows that SCP-4606-1 will proceed to slide under the ice and not return for days. This points to the conclusion that female instances of SCP-4606-1 live in dens, because, do to prior research, researchers know that SCP-4606-1 cannot hold their breath for more than 3 hours and 41 minutes.
SCP-4606-1 is a natural predator of smaller instances of SCP-4606-1 SCP-4606-2, SCP-4606-3, and SCP-4606-4. They have been recorded eating up to 211 pounds in one day and as little as no food in one day. SCP-4606-1 do not hibernate, and they are not known to have particular feeding patterns consisting of mostly meat. Feeding patterns also include the consumption of large amounts of easy prey.
SCP-4606-2 is a bird like creature with similar properties to a Emperor Penguin such as color, size, shape, and weight. The major difference between SCP-4606-2 and an Emperor Penguin is that SCP-4606-2 does not have a beak. Where the beak of an Emperor Penguin would normally be, there is a short snout, similar to the shape of a coyote. The mouth contains teeth that can measure up to 1.2 cm. The wings of SCP-4606-2 are larger than a standard Emperor Penguin. The ends of the wings also consist of hands, with opposable thumbs, similar to that of a pterodactyl. SCP-4606-2 constantly have a slime on there exterior, excluding their feet, allowing them to travel on their bellies, and backs. Calculations show that SCP-4606-2 lose only an average of 6 percent of there speed a minute if traveling on their belly on ice or snow. SCP-4606-2 are fully capable of controlling their speed, as they can use their feet to slow themselves down. The enhanced size of there feet provides for higher speeds in aquatic settings.
SCP-4606-2 are not naturally hostile, unless threatened. Their primarily food source is SCP-4606-4. They will also eat SCP-4606-6, but not often due to the risk of being impaled. It is obvious that SCP-4606-2 do not understand their dietary restrictions. (See addendum 4606-2/1) They have also been reported to eat at the carcusas of other dead animals. SCP-4606-2 are strictly carnivores. They are incapable of digesting plants. Digestion of plants will result in vomiting, or sickness.
SCP-4606-3 is a creature resembling that of a seal. This creature has large spines running down its back, facing its tail. These spines are razor sharp, and are thought to be some form of enhanced bone. The skin of SCP-4606-3 is dark grey in color, and is almost impossible to pierce with anything duller than a tooth from SCP-4606-1.
SCP-4606-3 mainly eat other fish like creatures consisting of SCP-4606-4, and SCP-4606-6. The jaw of SCP-4606-3 is strong enough to crush objects with the strength of steel, enabling it to consume anything it so chooses. SCP-4606-3 also has a digestive system that can turn almost any substance into nutrients for the creature. SCP-4606-3 is sentient and therefore chooses what, and when it eats. This also means, that its hostility fluctuates, but it is mostly very hostile to anything that approaches it, or if it is hungry, it will hunt anything it finds, and knows it is capable of killing.
SCP-4606-3 normally resides at an altitude of 25 meters below sea level. SCP-4606-3 does not require traveling to the surface for air, and therefore will almost never be seen on or near the surface of the water. If an instance of SCP-4606-3 is spotted ear the surface, this is most likely a sign that they are unable to find food on their level, and are hunting for smaller food sources that can be found on, or around the surface of the water.
SCP-4606-4 is a aquatic species that resembles an Arctic Char. They typically stretch between 300 cm to 650 cm. SCP-4606-4 are lined with bioluminescent strips. SCP-4606-4 are extremely common and largely travel in schools of over 300. SCP-4606-4 are bright green, this is due to them being photosynthetic. This allows them to stay still for days or months and a time, because they do not have to eat. This also explains why schools of SCP-4606-4 can be found in the same location for months.
SCP-4606-4’s main system of defense is the capability to coordinate the flashing of bioluminescent lights. These coordination can range from simultaneous blinks of light, to waves from one end of a the school to the other. These patterns will result in the attacker being stunned, and confused. SCP-4606-26 have been recorded to not be affected by the bioluminescent patterns.
SCP-4606-5 is a creature resembling an Arctic Skua. SCP-4606-5 has a shortened beak, and many small razor sharp teeth along the inner rim of the beak. This enables SCP-4606-5 to hunt and consume animals over 3 times of its weight. SCP-4606-5’s skin has a slimy residue enveloping all of SCP-4606-5’s feathers. This allows for high speed underwater, though they do not have flippers. This means that they must dive to catch their prey.
SCP-4606-5 mainly hunt SCP-4606-4 and eat plants in glowing forests. They are also recorded to be scavengers if provided with the opportunity. They can eat up to three times their body weight a day, and as little as no food for weeks. This is possible due to a state of hibernation that is often used to wait for energy to be burned off. This is the only instance of an organism using hibernation in the realm of SCP-4606.
SCP-4606-6 is a fish with features closely resembling a Swordfish. The major difference between a swordfish and a SCP-4606-6 is the large dorsal fin on the back of SCP-4606-6 and the fact that they commonly reach a size of 9 meters long. The bill of SCP-4606-6 is roughly 5 meters and is lined with bioluminescent lighting. The body and tail of SCP-4606-6 can measure up to 5 meters long.
SCP-4606-6’s main source of food comes from SCP-4606-4, but they have been reported to stun and kill SCP-4606-2. SCP-4606-6’s primary attack includes the use of the bioluminescent lights on its bill. SCP-4606-6 has been observed using the bioluminescent lights on its bill to produce patterns that have been recorded to stun and disable its prey. These patterns range from projecting the effect of dots of light racing around the bill, to simple flashes of light in a steady beat.
SCP-4606-6 have been observed using the bioluminescent lights to communicate with one another. This is theorized to have connections to the mating process. (See addendum SCP-4606-6/1) SCP-4606-6 have been seen competing by displaying their bioluminescent lights in patterns that mimic each other. These creatures have been seen responding to other creatures. (See addendum SCP-4606-6/2) It seems that the mating competition is won by a brighter shining light. The winner of the competition will go on to mate with a female instance of SCP-4606-6. Mating process is the same as to a normal swordfish.
SCP-4606-7 is an arctic fox with metallic grey fur and has a very short snout with many small razor sharp teeth, and a forked tongue with spines on the end. It’s paws also have very sharp claws. SCP-4606-7’s tail is made of projectile needles instead of hair and this can be used for hunting. SCP-4606-7 has insanely good hearing, and incredible smell enabling it to track objects up to 2 miles away without any visual contact. SCP-4606-7 also has the ability to run at just over 90 km/h, and they are able to dig holes almost instantly due to their sharp claws and insane agility. These creatures can also extend their skin along their arms enabling them to glide. Their needles, when they piercing an organism, will release a poison that can cause the organism to suffer from hallucinations, nausea, and a severe cardiac dysfunctions.
A second variation of SCP-4606-7 has also been found. Its properties include having a blue stripe down its back that radiates cold. The fox can also breathe cold fire, and its needles will cause any impacted surface to drop 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and frost to form on the surface. SCP-4606-7-b are more hostile than SCP-4606-7 and will hunt any animal they can find that is within their range to kill for food, or if they feel threatened.
SCP-4606-8 is tree of gargantuan size resembling a oak tree in structure. There is only one instance of SCP-4606-8. It reaches heights of at least 1.6 kilometers tall and almost 2 kilometers at max. SCP-4606-8’s bark is grey in color, and its leaves are bright blue in color. The trunk of SCP-4606-8 is approximately 10 meters in diameter at the base and 0.5 meters in diameter at the very top. SCP-4606-8 grows a variety of fruits. All fruits from SCP-4606-8 are almost identical to the fruits that they resemble from the real world, the only difference being a slight blue hue. Recorded products are as listed: Cortland Apple, Honeycrisp Apple, Banana, Oranges, Avocado, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Starfruit, Coconut, Mango, and Strawberry. Before consuming these fruits however, there is a layer of frost that must first be removed. Consuming this frost will result in hypothermia lasting up to 2 and a half hours. SCP-4606 also produces a fruit resembling a prickly pear without needles, that is about the size of a coconut. The outside of this fruit is hard, and can be broken with the same force required to break a coconut shell. The inside of the fruit is a pale red color with one large seed in the middle. Effects of consuming the fruit result in a 3 hour warmth effect, and some nutritional value. Consuming the fruit will also cause injuries to heal twice as fast. If the seed is planted, it will grow a smaller variation of SCP-4606-8 that will grow fewer fruits, and will only grow up to 25 meters tall. These trees take approximately 3 years to grow. During the night time, all variations of SCP-4606-8’s leaves radiate a blue light due to bioluminescence. This makes the tree easy to see, but will not illuminate the surrounding area.
SCP-4606-8 is the source of over 25% of the life in the realm of SCP-4606. This is caused by the abundance of food including the fruits that grow from SCP-4606-8 and other life forms that live in SCP-4606-8’s branches, and make homes in or around the trees.
The leaves of SCP-4606-8 create a liquid that is very similar to neosporin. The liquid will cause some wounds to heal faster, and will cause a small warmth effect as long as it is applied.
SCP-4606-9 Is a rabbit like creature with elongated, upright ears, short but very sharp fangs, longer legs for more agility, and their fur has the ability to change color for camouflage. SCP-4606-9 are herbivores that can be found in plant patches and glowing forests. These animals have the ability to jump up to 3 meters in the air, and run at a max of 25 miles per hour. SCP-4616-9 also has an incredible climbing ability, allowing them to scale near vertical faces at a speed of up to 20 k/h. These creatures are friendly to most creatures, but will flee at any sudden movements, loud noises, or bright colors.
SCP-4606-10 is an octopoda roughly 10 meters long. Only three instances of SCP-4606-10 have been found. SCP-4606-10 has 20 teticles and are 6 meters long each. These behave like a standard octopoda teticle. SCP-4606-10 are capable of using ink to suppress their location. This ink is very corrosive has been recorded to materialize a skeleton of a fish. This is their only defence, as their teticles are very flimsey and fragile. Their skin appears a light green when at rest due to the chlorophyll in their skin. SCP-4606-10 have the capability to change the color of their skin to fit their environment. This makes them extremely difficult to find instances of SCP-4606-10. SCP-4606-10 are still capable of using photosynthetic properties when their color has changed. This allows for them to hide in the ground for years on end while still gaining the nutrients they need to survive. It is theorized that there is a large quantity of SCP-4606-10 that are unfound do to their camouflage abilities.
SCP-4606-11 is a small bush, with blue leaves, and 1” thorns, with poison in them. This poison will cause severe nausea, dizziness, and in some cases, the victim will throw up. They will also suffer from dehydration, and a dry mouth. The bush produces a berry that most animals eat, but is poisonous to humans. It will cause the same effect as the thorns but worse. To safely consume these small, green/blue berries, they must first be dried, and the insides removed, the insides are the edible part and will provide large nutritional value. The leaves of this bush also glow due to bioluminescence, and can also be ground up to create an alternate neosporin. It is not as effective as ground up SCP-4606-8, and it does not glow as brightly. The warmth effect will also be lesser, and will only last for a maximum of 5 hours.
SCP-4606-12 is an event that occurs once every 3-5 tundra weeks. SCP-4606-12 is a large snow storm that can last for up to 7 tundra days. Wind speeds and temperatures of this storm are identical to speeds of SCP-4606. This storm is capable of shredding through all living creatures known to reside within SCP-4606.
SCP-4606-12 is known to be linked with the storm within the real world. When a subject is caught in SCP-4606, they are found in SCP-4606-12, this causes SCP-4606-12 to dissipate roughly 2 minutes later.
SCP-4606-13 are very similar to ants in the structure of their body. SCP-4606-13 are roughly one inch long. SCP-4606-13’s have stingers that are capable inject poison that will cause nausea and swelling of the sting site. Instances of SCP-4606-13 are mostly harmless otherwise. SCP-4606-13 burrow and reproduce in the ice and the snow. Contrasting to an insect, instances SCP-4606-13 are warm blooded. SCP-4606-13 can also be eaten by humans, but the stinger must be removed, and they must be cooked first.
SCP-4606-13 are mainly scavengers and feast off of the bone marrow and left over meat of animals killed by SCP-4606-12. Colonies of SCP-4606-13 have been found carrying dead instances of SCP-4606-1 to their burrows after a SCP-4606-12 instance occurs. One small colony of SCP-4606-13 can survive off of a SCP-4606-1 for over 3 months. Larger colonies of SCP-4606-13 can survive of a SCP-4606-1 for just under a week. This also provides that SCP-4606-13 can scavenge with more power.
SCP-4606-14 is a squirrel with a longer nose, fangs, larger cheeks for storing food, longer, razor sharp claws, large ears, and a furless tail with a razor tip. They are also aquatic, and can climb trees insanely fast, about 3x as fast as a normal squirrel. They eat plants, and SCP-4616-4. They have holes in the tree to live in, and are always very hostile, but due to their size, they are not as deadly as other creatures. These holes in the trees are naturally occurring and have bark on the inside, making it very hard in the inside too. They store food, and raise young here.
SCP-4606-15 is an animal resembling a musk ox. This creature stands at 1.7 meters tall, and its horns are 3 times the size of a normal musk ox. SCP-4606-15 are capable of digesting nutrients from ice and snow. It has been discovered that these creatures utilize the bacteria in the snow and ice to form a suitable food source. SCP-4606-15 will also eat any plant matter they come across. SCP-4606-15 normally have a neutral mood, but will become aggressive if provoked. When these creatures are angry, a flame that radiates cold will ignite on the horns, engulfing them completely. This can be a deadly weapon as they can instill hypothermia upon anything almost instantly if they were to come in contact with this “cold fire”. This attribute combined with the fact that these beings can run over 50k/m and are 3 tons makes them very dangerous to mess with.
SCP-4606-15 are extremely competitive when it comes to mating. The mating competition begins between two males with one approaching a female. If a male instance of SCP-4606-15 wants to challenge another male for a female, he will light his flames on his horns. The two males will then attempt to make their flame larger and colder than the others. The temperature and height of the flame directly correlates to the weight and strength of the specimen. Once the female has chosen the victor, the weaker male will proceed to leave and the mating process with continue as identical to a musk ox’s.
SCP-4606-16 is an animal resembling Alces Andersoni. This creature stands at a height of 3 meters with a grey colored fur that acts as a defense against cold, and minor injuries. SCP-4606-16 like SCP-4606-15 normally maintains a neutral mood, but will charge at other animals if provoked. The antlers of SCP-4606-16 are only slightly larger than normal, and glow in a green hue at night due to the antler’s bioluminescent properties. These animals are mostly herbivores, but if they are unable to attain food, they will resort to eating other animals.
If contact occurs with an antler of SCP-4606-16, the victim will suffer from mild to intense frostbite in the affected area. If the antlers were removed, they would keep their anomalous properties, and if attached to a stick, it could be used as a weapon against other animals. The hide of SCP-4606-16 can also be used to make clothing that will better protect against the climate of SCP-4606.
SCP-4606-17 is a small rose like flower with a bluish green stem, and a dark blue flower. The stem has 1cm thorns along its length that will cause swelling around the puncture site, but are overall harmless. Inside the stem is a frozen liquid, that when melted, can work as an elixir that increases body heat.. If this liquid is consumed every day for 3 consecutive days, you will suffer from cardiac arrest, due to sleep deprivation, self harm, or hypothermia.
Consumption of SCP-4606-17 results in a raise in heart rate, and body temperature. This takes action do the the elixir releasing a chemical that triggers your hypothalamus releasing hormones that cause your ‘fight or flight’ senses to active. Prior to consumption of SCP-4606-17, symptoms of paranoia, and sleep deprivation will occur. (See addendum 4606-17/1)
SCP-4606-18 is similar to a canine in physical appearance. This creature has minimal differences from a coyotes that resigns on earth, excluding a active heart beat. Special traits other than appearance that are possessed by SCP-4606-18 are enhanced speed, strength, smell, taste, and tracking abilities. SCP-4606-18 are capable of re-maintaining homeostasis after previously being pronounced dead. Researchers were unable to explain this phenomenon.
All recorded instances of wild SCP-4606-18 have been reported carrying a femur bone of a variety of animals with small images inscribed within the face of the bone. Recorded bones can be anything from a femur of a SCP-4606-1 to a SCP-4606-15. The bones are hypothesized to be bones of a corpse of a naturally deceased animal. The femur usually has images inscribed within it. These are known to resemble a previous companion of that instance of SCP-4606-18.
SCP-4606-18 shows its affection for a organism by presenting it with its bone. Instances of SCP-4606-18 are capable of communicating and befriending any living organism. A
SCP-4606-19 is a large flower with a teal stem. At a mature state, SCP-4606-19 can grow up to 500 cm tall. In place of the pedals of the flower is a purple fire that burns anti-heat. Touching the “anti-heat” will result in instant frostbite on the affected area. The fire will continue to burn even if the plant is dead. It is currently unknown how to extinguish the fire, or how long they burn. Because of how bright the flame is, the stem can be cut and the remaining plant’s flame can be used as a torch.
SCP-4606-20 is a large bird with a wingspan of 20 feet, large,r sharp talons, a sharp beak, and metallic feathers that are razor sharp and can be used as projectiles. These creatures are not dangerous to humans however because they only SCP-4606-1, and SCP-4606-6, and other very large prey that it recognizes from the tundra. These birds like to make nests in the largest tree in a glowing forest. These animal’s feathers provide a natural armor making them almost impossible to kill by human standards.
If provoked, SCP-4606-20 will throw its razor sharp feathers towards their enemy, and then proceed to kill them by picking them up, and dropping the m from very high up in the air. Feeding patterns relate to most real birds, or other large predators, with a need for hundreds of pounds of food almost daily. This is easy however because SCP-4606-20 also eat plants, which are very abundant in glowing forests.
SCP-4606-21 is a giant crab that is dark blue in color, and is roughly the size of a small house. SCP-4606-21 has razors along the inside of its claws, and large 1 foot long spines along its outer shell. SCP-4606-21 is very hostile and will attack anything within its range. SCP-4606-22’s shell cannot be pierced by anything other than firearms. This creature has 10 legs, 5 on each side, each 6 meters long, allowing for a tremendous boost in mobility. Do to its size, however, it is very slow compared to most other creatures.
SCP-4606-21 mainly eats SCP-4606-3, and any other very large creatures that venture into its territory. Though it requires large food sources, SCP-4606-21 can go days, or even weeks without eating. SCP-4606-21 will also re-grow limbs over the course of 2-3 years if they have been broken or removed. SCP-4606-21 will not be as mobile if its limbs are broken, and in some cases, they will be completely immobilized. SCP-4606-21 has no predators, but if one is killed, it can be used as a food source for up to 2-3 months due to massive body size.
SCP-4606-22 is an event that occurs on the last day of every month, causing all bioluminescent creatures to glow with a red hue. All animals will also be more hostile. This event is very dangerous and it is not recommended to be exploring during this time. During this time, the healing and or warmth affects of all plants will be negated completely. The sun, which is normally blue, will also turn red during this time, and cause some ice to melt making large pools of freezing cold water that is deadly if not properly prepared.
SCP-4606-22 lasts approximately the length of 1 day in the tundra, or 72 hours. After the event, it is not uncommon for a blizzard to occur in the next 1-5 days. If a blizzard occurs during SCP-4606-22, all structures, including man made objects, will begin to wear away due to increased speed of snow in the storm. Objects will however, take longer to be destroyed.
SCP-4606-23 is a animal resembling a Delphinus. These creatures differ from any dolphins due to the fact that these creatures have a set of gills, along with their lungs. SCP-4606-23 have been seen traveling up to 65 mph. These creatures often hunt other instances of SCP-4606 on land. Although SCP-4606-23 are fully aquatic animals, they capture their prey by emitting a toxin from their skin, which lures other creatures to the water edge. Once SCP-4606 specimen have made their way to the water's edge, SCP-4606-23 proceeds to spit a purple toxic from it mouth, landing on the preys skin or fur. This toxic is extremely deadly to any prey, causing paralysation and symptoms similar to 3rd degree burns. Reproduction is identical to normal reproduction of a common dolphin.
SCP-4606-24 is a liquid that is capable of healing wounds at speeds greater than any modern medicine. Consumption of SCP-4606-24 causes rapid cell growth, resulting in healing of bone, skin, and muscle. This is commonly used to heal attacks from other instances of SCP-4606.
SCP-4606-24 is created using leafs from SCP-4606-8, liquid from SCP-4606-19, and leafs from SCP-4606-17. After gathering these materials, you must place these over a fire with water in a container and stir. This will turn the liquid blueish purple and disintegrate the leafs. Though this liquid is brewed by using a fire from the tundra, the liquid somehow emanates small amounts of heat.

The following audio logs were received from a subject of SCP-4606. They have been numbered from one to nine for accessibility purposes.
Audio Log One:
What the [expunged] is this place? Everything is white and it is so cold. We always thought it was just one of those Canadian things that you hear about in the news paper. I never ever thought I would find myself in a place where there are civilizations of people just trying not get mauled by a bear the doesn’t have any [expunged] eyes, or trying to not get stepped on by a 3 meter tall moose. All I want is to try not to get me and my brothers killed. We spotted a civilization in the distance I was the only thing for miles that we could see when the storm ended. We had to walk for like 3 hours to get here. The place looked like one of those primitive civilizations you’d see in an African documentary. There were people standing at the gate of the place that rushed us in to the crude structures. They told us that this town was the smallest out of all of them. They said that we were unlucky to be put here. What does that mean? I still don't understand what the [expunged] that could ever mean. Don’t ask me. According to one of the people we talked to, the storm had some weird ‘anomalous property’ that ‘teleported’ us here. This whole thing makes no sense. For all I know this isn’t real and I’m just in a dream. Oh [expunged]! (Screaming is heard from the background.)
Audio Log Two:
This is my second day in this [expunged]hole. I- (the subject pauses) Fifteen people died in yesterday. One of those [expunged]ing- (the subject pauses) polar bears? Im calling it a polar bear. I guess. One of those [expunged]ing monsters walked right through the gate while the same people who saved us were trying to save another group of people. That little [expunged] just ripped through those people like it was nothing. I watched it all happen. I heard the screams of the people, I watched a child being ripped to pieces right in front of her mother. A [expunged]ing child! She couldn’t have been more than 6 years old. And her mother, she just stood there screaming. The bear charged at her, and she didn’t even try to get out of the way. The thing ripped right into her throat. I don’t know if I can take this. (The subject begins to sob. This continues for 2 minutes.)
Audio Log Three:
(Sounds of fire crackling, the subject is speaking in a somber voice.) I’ve never been much of a church goer. I’ve never really thought that I would ever need something holy in my life. I’m starting to think that all those things were real. Could this be hell? Some [expunged] up world hell? Maybe they had it right and hell is real, but instead of fire it's cold. Icy hell. That's what they call it here. The name is suiting. All I can feel is cold here. I realized this earlier today. These [expunged]ing fox things, they flew over the walls like [expunged]ing flying squirrels. They landed on the building I was in and the roof fell in. One of them sunk its teeth into Jackson’s leg. Another one threw these - these quills at me out of its tail. It looked like it was straight out of a movie I swear. One quill hit me in the arm, three of them in my chest and 9 in my leg. It hurt like hell, but the weird part was… This sounds crazy. The weird part is it felt cold. It was like I put my entire leg into a bucket of 5 degree water. I felt that everywhere. Teeth chattering, shivering, everything. Jackson said the same thing. I don’t doubt that these things really made me cold. I mean, if there are flying foxes, and bears with no eyes in this place, then I don’t doubt that these quills have the ability to make me cold. The fox thing just ran out of the house as soon as it threw its quills. Same story with the one that bit Jackson. According to one of the guards - that ran in after the things landed, they were running from a bear. He said they just jumped and spread their arms like a flying squirrel. I asked him if he knew why they ran from us, he didn’t know. Another guard walked in with a vase of flowers. He handed me one of the flowers and told me to crack open the center. I followed his instructions and opened the plant. To my surprise there was a liquid in the center. The man told me to drink the serum. I drank it and it tasted like a mint extract. I struggled to swallow it. According to the guard that I was previously speaking to, the serum is extremely highly valued for its healing properties. I understand why it's so valued, because I sat there and watched my gash in my leg heal. My skin acted like silly putty slowly expanding of the wound.
Audio Log Four:
I woke up today. Starting to think that the fact that I woke up is a blessing. It would be so easy to be mauled in my sleep by a bear out here, but I haven't died yet. I talked to more people in the town so I could learn more about this hell. According to one of the guards, there are three different sections of the ‘Icy Hell’ as he called it. There is the forest, the mountains, and plains. Oh also there is the ocean, but according to him there is no use of even thinking about it. He says it's the most dangerous place by far. My understanding of this place is that where you want to be is anywhere but here. But it you have to be here where you want to be is the forest, because there are fruits on this one tree that are extremely easy to obtain. The worst place you could be is the mountains. Apparently the mountains are home to a [expunged] load of scary things. I heard a group of saying that there are birds that are like 50 feet long. Not sure if I believe that one, I don’t think that's possible.
Audio Log Five:
(The log begins abruptly with intense foot steps, and heavy breathing. It is clear that the subject is running from something. Screams from a distance are heard.) This is going to be my last log. I am going to die today. (The subject screams, then drops the mp3 player. The log continues for 6 hours, consisting of sounds of screaming for 25 more minutes, then wind and snow for the rest of the log, until footsteps for the last 2 minutes) Oh my god, I didn’t think I would find this little [expunged]. I thought for sure it was crushed by those things.
Audio Log Six:
The camp got raided by a group of the fox things three days ago now. It was the middle of the [expunged]ing night. I had just finished recording my fourth log, and as soon as I put my MP3 player down I spotted one of those [expunged] out the gap in one of the holes in the wall. The thing was as low as it could possibly be, slowly inching towards the building. I never would have spotted the thing if I didn’t see its dark brown eye giving me the stare of the devil himself. Its white fur looked exactly like the snow, only distinguishable by the shadows from the torches. I stared right into its eye for like what felt like an hour as it slowly inched towards the cabin. I tried to scream so I could alert the people in the town, but my mouth wouldn’t open. I got out of bed and woke up one of the guards and jackson, I told him I saw one of the foxes right outside the window. He wouldn’t believe me. He said those things aren’t smart enough to be stealthy. I dragged him outside to try to prove it to him. I walked out the door and on of the [expunged] things was laying right there. The [expunged] jumped right up and bit the guard in the neck and pulled him to the ground. He and I both screamed. Jackson ran away. Apparently foxes don’t like loud noises, because when I screamed at least 20 more of those things revealed themselves from their hiding spots and made a bum rush for the houses. I ran out one of the gates and didn’t stop running. Well I would have not stopped running if there wasn’t a group of [expunged]ing moose so casually roaming around. All of the them stared straight into my soul. One grunted and began to slowly walk towards me, swiftly picking up speed. I read in a cub scouts book when I was seven that the best you can do in this situation is to lay down and cover your neck. So me being the smart person I am, I screamed and ran to the left. It seems to be a reoccurring theme that the animals here aren’t a fan of loud noises, because when I screamed, the goddamn moose thing dramatically ramped up in speed. It was now that I decided to get on the ground and cover my neck. This may or may not have been me accepting defeat, but I am going to say it was me remembering my 2 months as a cub scout. So needless to say I didn’t die to the curious hoofs of an abnormally large moose. That is a sentence I never wished to speak. The little [expunged] just sniffed me and walked back over to his ladies. I, being a high intelligent human being, instead of staying still and letting the moose thing walk away, decided it was a good idea to immediately get up and sprint for the trees. I swear these animals like there peace and quite too much, because the little noise I made caused the moose thing to turn around and decide it wanted to investigate further. It charged at me and lucky for me its massive antlers couldn’t fit through the thick trees. Although it’s antlers got jammed in the thick trees trees, it could knock them over, and it did. The three 30 foot tall trees fell right next to me, one barely missing my shoulder. That was the loudest noise I ever heard. The moose continued to charge towards me, knocking down trees left and right. At one point the things antlers caught on fire. It wasn’t a normal fire though, it was blue but not blue because it was hot. This doesn’t make sense but I swear it was radiating coldness. As the fire spread to the trees the air got more and more cold. I shouldn’t be surprised everything is cold here. I swear the name is suiting ‘Icy Hell’. As the moose swiftly made progress on me and I saw a figure in the distance. It looked like a human, except its entire body was glowing bright blue with a light brighter than the sun. The light was so bright that I couldn’t make out any details other than is basic shape. The thing is dead still for like 30 seconds. As I approach it, its body starts to turn, and where I assume its eyes would be look straight at me. Its arms reach out towards me and it bolts towards me. As it runs its ‘legs’ start to pick up off the ground and it begins to fly straight through trees in my direction. Not moving the trees though, just materializing right through them. When it reaches me it grabs me by the shoulders and begins to levitate straight upwards. I begin to lose consciousness as I am being dragged into the air. I catch one last glimpse of my captor, and it now appeared to take the form of a snowy owl. I then blacked out. I woke up next to Jackson in a room with wooden walls. I asked him how I got here, and he said he woke up here as well. He told me there was someone in the room when he got up. I interrogated him further about the person. He explained that the person told him that they saw a bird carrying him to the tree and it dropped him on a branch. I got up out of bed and opened the door. To my surprise I was in a tree house about 300 feet of the ground. The whole civilization was suspended on a tree that was at least a mile high. The leafs of the tree were glowing the same bright blue as the owl man thing that saved me. I was just like the bioluminescence of the creatures you see in the deep sea movies. The house I was in was hanging from a branch by a massive piece of rope like material. There were other buildings too, and all of them were connected by suspension bridges and ladders. I got to talking to some of the people who lived up here. I asked them how they got up here, most of them told me they climbed ‘the ladder’. Apparently ‘the ladder’ is a really big ladder that is like 6000 rungs or something like that. I heard it is only like 400 rungs to get to the town I’m in right now. There are four towns in the tree, and I’m at the lowest of towns. Another thing I was told is that the tree towns are the safest towns there are. The townspeople told me that I should feel pretty secure here, since there's been no fatalities in 2 years here. I don’t know how safe I can be here.
Audio Log Seven:
I never thought I would say it is beautiful here. I’ve been in the tree camp for just over a week now. I’ve spent the majority of my time sitting on top of the house I'm staying in and just staring into the frozen land. I watched a group of young foxes playing. It was mesmerizing to see something so deadly have emotions and happiness. The pups would wrestle and play and their mother would sit and watch, onlooking with what seemed so close to satisfaction. I swear I could see the happiness in the eyes of the cubs. It changed my view on this whole place, everything isn’t trying to kill me, everything is trying to not die. My brother, Jackson, has been wearing his watch since we got here. I’ve noticed that the days are about three times as long as they are at home. I also noticed that it’s my birthday today- December 20th. Jackson and I celebrated it today, I just turned 16. I could get my drivers license. I started to wonder what my family is thinking right now, especially with christmas coming up. I decided it was best not to think about that. That would only make me sad. At least I have Jackson.
Audio Log Eight:
Watching. Watching the sea and the land wondering about what it's like out there. All day, all night, just watching into the void of pain and cold. I was mindlessly staring at the ocean when I spotted a thing. It looked like a seal- but it didn’t have a snout. I barely got a look at it before it dove of the cliff into the water. I think it was trying to hunt for fish, but when it hit the water there was an explosion of that bright blue color in the water. I soon realized that the fish where emitting the blue color. A massive school of them all as one mind. They started to flash in sequence from left to right like the crowd at a baseball game or a sign from central park. I saw the seal in the water, it looked dumbfounded by the orchestra of lights. The seal just swam away like the fish just never happened. These are not the fish you were looking for! I saw two swordfish having a light show yesterday. I spotted them by their shining bright bills at each other, like they were competing over mates. I have spotted two themes now, nothing likes loud noises, and everything looks like it came straight out of challenger deep.
Audio Log Nine:
More watching. I saw a giant octopus today. It's sad to me that I’m barely fazed by this. Don’t get me wrong- the thing was beautiful. It had to be at least 100 feet long, maybe more. It just swam by, minding its own business. (Another voice is heard) Andrew! Come here it's an emergency! (The subject is heard again) On my way! (The subject is heard climbing down from the roof and running after the second person. A voice is heard that sounds like it is coming from a megaphone) Attention all humans! Make your way to the bottom of the tree immediately for an exit! (The subject is heard once more) Jackson! (The subject is heard climbing down a ladder. The megaphone is on repeat. It is getting louder) Who are those people! Why do they have guns! (Another voice is heard. It sounds muffled as if it is coming through a mask) We are here to protect you! (The audio continues with nothing but the megaphone on repeat and wind noises for 10 minute. The megaphone recording stops, and a new message is heard through the megaphone) Stay close to one of us. We will be heading into the eye of that storm. The storm is the exit and you will go back to your normal lives. (Footsteps and wind are heard for 20 minutes. The wind progressively gets stronger. The megaphone is heard once more) Grab the person’s shirt in front of you and do not let go. Line up behind me, there will be minimal sight within the storm. (Extremely intense wind is heard for three minutes, until complete silence. Gasps are heard among the people. The subject speaks again.) Jackson? (Another voice replies) Andrew!
Amnesiacs were applied to the subject and the MP3 player was confiscated by MTF. The Subject was released shortly after capture. Cover up stories were made to keep SCP-4606 classified.
