Photograph of SCP-XXXX-01, captured on ██/7/95 by Foundation operatives.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Instances of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in a room with a Foundation Anti-Sound Module1 installed within the interior, and access must be secure by a blast door. Currently, ██ instances of SCP-XXXX has been contained and are stored in the Keter Biological Containment sector of Area ██. SCP-XXXX must be kept in their cells at all times.
Access to SCP-XXXX is not permitted unless for standard testing protocol or transport of the entity. One (1) to four (4) Class-D personnel must enter during testing. The subjects has to be monitored by a surveillance system. At no time should personnel other than Class-D assets enter a containment chamber belonging to an SCP-XXXX specimen during testing.
Unauthorised staff attempting to gain access to SCP-XXXX’s cell are to be terminated on sight. Two armed security personnel are to be stationed outside each holding cell. Survivors and witnesses are to be detained and interrogated, then given Class-B amnestics upon release. Due to SCP-XXXX’s imitation properties, it is considered high-priority to capture all instances that belong to it. The Foundation has ██ field agents embedded within the Department of Agriculture and ███ in law enforcement of rural areas in the United States that have heavy woodland.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of sentient predatory humanoid creatures. Each instance typically has a heavily emaciated frame covered in mummified flesh. The limbs are disproportionately long and thin, with arms that are equal in diameter to it’s legs. Where it's head and neck would normally be is instead a thin pole of flesh with two functional civil defence sirens attached facing opposite directions to one another, and several black telecommunication wires located around it's neck and into it's upper shoulders, pressed against it's abdomen.
These speakers are fused to the neck by tendrils of skin and is capable of rotating around it. SCP-XXXX is able to communicate by utilising it’s speakers to say basic phrases, and also has the ability to imitate emergency population warnings, play distorted music, conversations, imitate people of emotional value to subjects nearby and broadcast numbers station transmissions. When mimicking a human, a distinctive distortion in the voices is always present, due to the sounds being broadcasted through sirens instead of vocal chords or other organic means of creating noise.
Upon close surgical examination conducted by Dr. ███████, the inner pole appears to contain a large amount of loose cassette tapes and a pulsing reel-to-reel tape recorder, connected by organic fibres and veins. It has been revealed through repair that these tapes contain miscellaneous sounds that are used by SCP-XXXX to vocalise.
Discovery: The Foundation was made aware of the existence of SCP-XXXX when on July 16th, 1995, Chad ██████ and █ other civilians were partaking in hiking in the Tanyard Creek woodlands. According to Chad ██████, his partners were abducted by SCP-XXXX-01 that was striding through the trees, which were mimicking their voices. Mr. ██████ was found alive with several minor injuries by embedded personnel Agent Hopper and Agent Laurey when they were attempting to apprehend the anomaly. No other individuals have been discovered despite a search operation being conducted by the Foundation.
