Central Diagnostic System of FSWADS.
Equipment Name: Foundation Site-Wide Automated Diagnostic System (FSWADS) v2.3
Type: Large-size personnel address system and experimental autonomous facility operation program
Current Status: Condemned
Maintenance Requirements: FSWADS is located inside Technical Sector 4B at Protected Site ██, powered by a large array of industrial batteries (with a fail-safe emergency supply). The physical mainframe is to be guarded by any available Level 2 security personnel at all times. Any unauthorised tampering with the Central Diagnostic System will be followed by immediate penalty or transference depending on the changes made. In the event of a major power failure, the main power distribution console is to be manually rebooted by the on-duty server maintenance specialist. Every two (2) days, on-site technical personnel is required to follow the following procedures in order to preserve the hardware:
- Check the Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID)
- Verify FSWADS’ hard drive utilisation
- Review the system’s electrical resource usage
- Manually update the control panel software
- Verify FOS (Foundation Operating System) updates
- Examine the interior cooling performance unit
- Check alert communication console for any errors
- Ensure network has been properly connected without functionality losses
Update: The Foundation Site-Wide Automated Diagnostic System version 2.3 has now been declared as defective, due to the fact that it cannot be successfully repaired by any Foundation personnel. We have found a better design that we are hoping to install by the next week or so. For now, access to FSWADS will be limited to staff with minimum Level 3 security clearance, and v2.3 will be scrapped.
