Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5083 is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment chamber, approximately 500 feet below Sea Level. Edges of the Chamber are to be fitted with Reinforced Stainless Steel, Walls are to be built out of Concrete no thinner than 300 mm.
Infrared Cameras are to be placed at every angle of the containment chamber, and additional staff or test subjects are advised to wear infrared goggles should they enter the Cell, and wear at least 3 layers of protective clothing. Subjects should not be exposed to SCP-5083 for more than 30 minutes. Under no circumstances should a subject attempt to communicate with SCP-5083 when it is not in human form or is in a hostile state.
Currently it is unknown what substance SCP-5083 Gets its nutrients from. A water tap is to be installed on the wall facing the containment cell entrance, and additional sleeping quarters must be installed. The floor should be covered in 30 cm of Soil, and motion sensors installed in the corners under the Soil. The Air should be filtered out every 45 minutes, through a one way air vent that is to be open and closed when necessary.
In the event of a containment breach, Staff are advised to cover any exposed skin on their bodies. Sleeping Gas is to be dispensed in the hallway connecting SCP-5083’s Containment chamber and the Elevator to reach the surface facility. In a Major Breach, all on-site surveillance devices are to be fitted with an infrared filter to detect SCP-5083. Mobile Task Forces Beta-7 (Maz Hatters) and Lambda-12 (Pest Control) are required to be on-site in order for a successful containment.
Description: SCP-5083 appears as a 6 foot tall Male Humanoid made out of an arthropod like Exoskeleton. Hands and Feet features include Four Long Narrow Spider-like Legs. SCP-5083’s Facial features include 6 Luminescent Eyes and a teeth anatomy of 8 canines and 2 large fangs spanning both cheeks. SCP-5083 is capable of Speech, and attempts to communicate with staff daily but receives no results. It demonstrates Human-like intelligence, with an IQ estimation of 160. SCP-5083 contains Arthropod Organs, and not that of a Homo Sapien. SCP-5083 Can completely camouflage itself and cannot be detected without infrared equipment.
If SCP-5083 feels uncomforting, distress or aggression, it can enter a state of hostility where it will brutally [DATA EXPUNGED] any living organism. This occurs every 30 minutes and lasts for about an hour. Bites have been recorded to cause serious pain, similar to that of a Brazilian Wandering Spider. After about 10 minutes the Venom injected will cause cells coming into contact with it to cease functioning. SCP-5083 has been observed Releasing fumes that can be viewed through infrared, these fumes are believed to be particles containing the Toxin SCP-5083-Zeta. See Addendum 5083-01
At any given time, SCP-5083 has the ability to morph itself into a figure of a tailless whip scorpion, and has been designated as SCP-5083-Beta. The anomaly has the ability to grow and shrink at will, with instances growing from 500 centimetres to about 10 millimetres. The object can remain in this form for 3 hours at a time before they will retake humanoid form. This smaller object is capable of [DATA EXPUNGED] and moving at a speed of 10 km per hour regardless of size. Smaller instances are different in description, though they all resemble common arachnid like features.
The origins of where SCP-5083 comes from or what made it is unknown. SCP-5083 was found in a small village North of ██████, North Korea. SCP-5083 was first reported in ████████, China where Authorities reported that several villages were experiencing mysterious deaths from a venomous anomaly causing the cells to breakdown. the Foundation was contacted when SCP-5083-Beta was sighted chasing a young girl into North Korea, who had been bleeding out from wounds.
Addendum 5083-01 The Bite caused by SCP-5083 or SCP-5083-Beta should be treated based on the body part affected. If an outer limb such as the legs or lower arms were bitten, the Limb should be amputated as soon as possible. If the bite was closer to major organs or the Neck and above, the Subject should be terminated to prevent excruciating pain following the effects of the Bite.
The venom’s peptide toxins somehow cause cell structures to deteriorate and shut down. It's presumed that the toxin has not been discovered before and possesses generic side effects such as swelling, vomiting, fever and fatigue. The toxin has no possible cure. The Effects observed by this Toxin show that it can defunct cells within 10 minutes of contact. Upon coming into contact with a major organ, its effects will cause it to ‘liquify’ after being shut down. The toxin has been named SCP-5083-Zeta, and can only be caused by the bite from SCP-5083.

SCP-5083: Oh. Its you again.
[SCP-5083 proceeded to calmly stand up from his bed and pace towards the glass panel, separating the two.]
Dr. ████: I’d like to ask you a couple of questions, will that be ok with you?
SCP-5083: Well I don't have any other choice do I. Ask away before I change my mind..
Dr. ████: Splendid. My first question for you is-

SCP-5083: Ooh, so i'm not the only one? That sounds rather fun. Seems to me you’ve built this big site just as a paranormal prison.
Dr. ████: You could see it that way. My question for you is, you demonstrate high levels of Human Intelligence, almost as if you are a Human. Are you self aware of the abilities you own?
SCP-5083: I am an Arthropod. I not a demon nor a god wielding superpowers. Nor an everyday Human either. I dont break natural law, I am just another organism.
Dr. ████: Do you know anything about before your time here in the Foundation?
SCP-5083: Well if it excludes the random ambush of Mercenaries wearing skull bandanas and weird patches on their shoulder, then I'm afraid not.
Dr. ████: Very well then. How do you consume nutrients?
SCP-5083: I don't need nutrients to survive. all Living organism require some form of nutrition in order to stay alive, but that's not the case with me.
Dr. ████: Can you elaborate more on that?
SCP-5083: You ask a lot of questions. I don't like that. You expect no one to talk to me yet the only exception is you blurting questions at me?
Dr. ████: The reason for that is safety protocols. Should it be allowed, Foundation Personnel would be in jeapordy. I am asking you these questions to better understand you, not to pressure you.
SCP-5083: Well Fuck your questions. You of all people have better things to do than whine at me.
Dr. ████: Please, calm down.

Closing Statement: SCP-5083 frequently Questions statements. It believes it is nothing more than an Arthropod, a catalyst for his hostile state is attempting to reason with him, despite it’s high intelligence it cannot control it’s aggression.

Dr. ████: Hello Lieutenant, please take a seat I wont take up too much of your time.
Lieutenant █████████: It wont be an issue, I'm not that busy.
Dr. ████: Very well then. Do you mind explaining what happened regards to the containment of SCP-5083?
Lieutenant █████████: Well, We were flying to Beijing from Site ██, Dressed as a Private Military Company. we rode by truck from Beijing to the North Korean border, and I was shitting myself for what we were about to do. Thanks to the North Korean Government putting restrictions on tourism, We couldn't fly in a chopper directly towards our target. I'd say that was the difficult part of the Trip.
Dr. ████: How did you reach your target?
Lieutenant █████████: The object was sighted north of ██████. I could say we could get there by plane But that didn't happen. It took quite a large bribe to let us through the border and to use a private train carrying our big guns and heavy duty chemical equipment towards the Point of Interest, I think about [DATA EXPUNGED] of the Foundations budget went just into getting there and back.
Dr. ████: I wouldn't exactly be surprised with how it took roughly 2 weeks to hear back from you. How did you detain the target?
Lieutenant █████████: It was around 0200 when we were to strike, We were suited in M40 Gas Masks and Hazmat suits. We moved in on the target, But as we busted through the doors yelling orders, It just sat and stared. For a moment I didn't think it understood English, but out of no where it just welcomes us.
Dr. ████: What happened next?
Lieutenant █████████: By just looking at it I felt like my trousers turned brown. It was so calm and cooperative, all we had to do was gas the thing. We put it on a Stretcher and headed to the extraction point just by the shore line. Next thing we heard, some Koreans were chatting and whispering, and the only Korean speaker on the team said they were talking about some Paranormal prevention thing or what not.
Dr. ████: We you able to identify who these people were?
Lieutenant █████████: Yep, they shined spotlights on us and began yelling at us. They were wearing Brown uniforms with camouflaged helmets, and their shoulder patch didn't look like a Korean Soldier. It had more of a sinister tone to the patch not that of your glorious commie badge. It turned into a big firefight after that, Thought our mission was compromised.
Dr. ████: How many were wounded or how many were killed?
Lieutenant █████████: Surprisingly, Only 1 casualty who got a 7.62mm bullet to the eye. they weren't aiming at us, they were aiming at SCP-5083. We managed to get extracted by helicopter but they kept shooting at us, desperately trying to get to SCP-5083 for some reason. The target took in a lot of damage, but it didn't wake up nor was blood found on the target.

Closing Statement: SCP-5083 has undergone a physical examination, and took 10 7.62mm gunshot wounds to the chest and head. SCP-5083 showed no signs of pain when he awoke, but entered a rage and [DATA EXPUNGED]. The Intelligence Agency will look into the skirmish between Beta-7-1 recovery Team and [DATA EXPUNGED].
