Special Containment Procedures:
The object is stored in a mahogany box of 0.5m x 0.5m, a red cushion of 0.25 x 0.25 is to be placed in the centre of the box with the item placed directly on the top. The box and object are to be cleaned of any dust or residue and polished clockwise every two days, and personnel replaced every three.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a single amethyst earring which is to be attached to the left ear lobe. The earring appears to be made of gold and amethyst with traces of demantoid within the linking. The object displays its anomalous properties when worn. Testing has revealed that when worn, the object will cause the subject to return the last place they had slept upon death on the following morning usually at the time of 07:00 EST. The subjects have revealed through psychological analysis that they remember the cause of death in full detail, and recall the events constantly. This seems to cause psychological stress, and traces of PTSD.

The object was found in 19██ in the home of a Bulgarian jeweller. The owner was not found, this has been assumed to be the cause of the SCP being removed by another individual, who was not found. On inspection of the home, a photograph of the object was found, it appears that there was a second one at another point, which has been dubbed SCP-XXX-1. The current whereabouts is unknown.

Upon further testing, it has been found that the object can only be removed from the ear while the subject is asleep, this will cause the subject to immediately expire and degrade upon removal.

The earring seems to refuse to function when not clean, and polished in a clockwise direction every two days. When not in use, the object must be placed within its mahogany container, the box and SCP-XXX are to be cleaned and polished every two days.
