Everyone has those small moments where you look at something and think "Wow, that looks amazing." or "Wait, what is this?" from surprise. This is also not an unknown thought on our wiki that houses imagery with questionable yet intriguing origins. A few more surprising images with a twisted explanation are always welcome and therefore I present you;
The Image Trade
This is supposed to be an lighthearted event where people send in images that later get anonymously distributed and used in a sandbox page which afterwards can be posted on the wiki. The purpose is to get a lot of originality, surprise, and fun from getting and making people surprised. After the posting period I will reveal who got whose image to make for some good discussion.
It is a bit similar to both the art exchange and corpse con but you don't need to have prior knowledge of those events to be able to participate.
How do I enter and what are the rules?
Entering is done by leaving a comment and sending a wikidot PM to me with a quick bit of text and one image (+ source link if applicable). If you send me an image I will also send you an image back to work with later, so please don't do this if you don't plan on writing.
If you want to be a pinchhitter please let me know. I assume this event will stay rather small but better save than sorry.
- Images I get do not need to follow a theme, you can send me a landscape background, a weird object, a digital render, a sketch, … as long as it is under a usable license for the wiki and follows the Image Use Policy.
- If you made a form of image yourself you must release this under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 license (See link above). The license box I will send to your receiver will state "Anonymous". After the reveals the author can either change their license box or I will put a comment in the discussion.
- Images you get may be edited but please keep them recognizable.
