SCP-XXXX should be stored on former SCiPnet server quarantine block 1A2F-S19, with Epsilon.aic monitoring all actions made by SCP-XXXX. Should SCP-XXXX be discovered operating on a SCiPnet server that is active, its data should be backed up and scanned for hidden instances of SCP-XXXX, then formatted back to pre-SCP-XXXX-exposure settings.

Internal Disinformation Campaign IDC-83 "That's Above Your Clearance" should be maintained at all Foundation properties that contain a SCiPnet computer terminal. This file should only be accessible to O5-13.

Description: SCP-XXXX-EX was a cyber attack against the Foundation that resulted in a hijacking of the internal email systems. The affected communications spread classified information to multiple parties and created a large-scale information breach. The attack only visibly manifested through the sending of emails, though it is gained access to a large portion of the Foundation Database.

SCP-XXXX-EX was originally identified as a potentially anomalous piece of code in the Foundation SCiPnet servers, exhibiting behavior similar to a self-aware AI, however, it has since been determined that SCP-XXXX-EX is the result of conventional means and that the behavior was the result of an external intelligent controller. The attack lasted three days, and all security flaws that facilitated the attack have been addressed. An investigation is ongoing as to the parties responsible.

Internal Disinformation Campaign IDC-83 "That's Above Your Clearance" is the ongoing cleanup effort, including classification, archiving and deletion of affected communications, as well as a program of amnisticisation when necessary. The campaign is also to minimize the perceived scale and effectiveness of the attack, and cover-up information regarding the methods used. The campaign is headed by O5-13. 05-13 is to ensure that the campaign does not result in further information breaches. As archives of selected affected emails have been kept, multiple versions of this document exist. This version is currently the most complete.

Note: Multiple similar messages were received by foundation personnel. All relevant passcodes, passwords, and other relevant measures have been changed. These are the first three confirmed SCP-XXXX-EX affected emails to be received. The O5 council acknowledged the threat and resolved unanimously to limit communication to voice calls, hard copy mail, and in-person communication. O5-13 volunteered to coordinate the response.

I want to thank you. Firstly, for making me the security chief here at Site-174. I never could have done it without you. I'd like to thank you for overlooking the complaints of my subordinates, the opinions of my colleagues, and the reports by my former superior. After all, it was all hypothetical, all psychological, nothing about what I'd actually done. So what if I enjoyed my authority over the freaks a bit too much? can you fault a man for enjoying his job? I could shoot straight, I could work on a budget, I could put on a show and I didn't ask questions, and that was all you needed. We had an understanding at first, I didn't want body cameras, and you didn't want to pay for them. But the problems came. The bruises, the missing CCTV footage, the complaints of unnecessary force. It would have been all too easy to demote me, to remove this issue.

But you didn't. You didn't want to draw attention to the site's security force. We are quite a small site by Foundation standards, and yet our budget nearly twice that of similar sites. Of course, you tell the committees that the cost of containing humanoids is much greater than that of most other anomalies. That is true, but we conduct almost no research undertakings (excepting Project Damascene), with most scientists here amounting to set dressing. My own department had barely enough to work with, but I could still put on a show for any visiting higher-ups. So where does that money go? The Foundation are no fools, they've dealt with embezzlement before, but never done as deftly as this. I'm not sure if it even counts as embezzlement, at least not in the traditional sense. I'd say it's closer to extortion. I suggest our dear O5 look further into Project Damascene. "A program of interrogation and investigation" you call it.

I must compliment you on the web of corruption you wove. None would expect it of you, with all the diligence and patience you put up for show. I couldn't say anything about it, or else you'd report me, but you couldn't get rid of me because I know too much about you. Consider this a confession. Considering all the woes I've visited upon the wretches of this place, I can hardly take the moral high ground, can I?

Think back to the summer of 2018. What your mind tells you is that you spent most of it in Site-110 doing paperwork and sucking up to your boss. It is a shame about what happened to him. There was no way you could have expected the accident or the following site transfer. An even bigger shame that he never existed, and that there's a reason you never went back to Site-110, or indeed never went there in the first place. Don't you feel as if all the people you remember were just a bit off, they never had hobbies, wants, or ambitions, they were just names and faces. A real shame about the nightmares that keep you up, despite the fact that there no record of anything traumatic on your file. Or perhaps it is for the best. some things are best forgotten and left to the land of dreams.

We made a deal. I kept up my end. I bribed, threatened, persuaded, and blackmailed all for your rise to power. And now I find you have forgotten about me and my friends. You classify anything to to with us way beyond what is needed, redacting with abandon in the hope that no-one will find out about how you ended up in the leadership of your little museum of curiosities. I wonder, is it fear that motivates this? Or guilt? If it is fear, don't worry, your colleagues each have their own secrets, and we can them to light if you feel the bulldogs on your trail. If it is guilt, think back to before you made the deal. You knew that the good you would be able to do on that council would far outway any cost. You knew that you could be the one to bring the foundation back from the brink and usher in a golden age of normalcy. Under, your watch, everyone would live in the light.

You could have done it if you had kept your end of the deal. Whilst we appreciate your (admittedly selfishly motivated) efforts to hide us from the foundation at large, it is not what we asked for. The last few days were only a taste of what we could do, all without any of the oddities you salivate over.

We will be waiting.

General notice from the office of Senior Researcher Hasper

Some of you have expressed concern regarding a potential major information breach occurring as a result of an apparent lack of action by the Foundation. Whilst such concerns are valid, do not think that the Foundation is resting on its laurels. It is the view of myself and the senior administration that any attempt to eliminate public knowledge of SCP-XXXX would result in such deviance in human science and scientific thinking, as well as human history affected by the use of SCP-XXXX affected matter, that it would border on a CK-class restructuring scenario. The current policy of the Foundation in regards to SCP-XXXX is ensuring that no knowledge of the entity's anomalous nature is revealed to the public, whilst allowing whatever knowledge that has already been disseminated and utilized by civilians that do not utilize or reveal the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX to remain, for the time being.

I acknowledge that this is frustrating, but the effects of SCP-XXXX have been known about by the public for over a century now and have seen many applications that have changed the world. It's not a matter of feeding some amnistics into the water or deleting some articles off the web. The true anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX has only recently been discovered by us, and it is this discovery by civilian scientists that we seek to prevent through Operation Molweide.

I also remind everyone that this is an evolving situation. not all the facts are known and research is ongoing. Do not treat this document as gospel, and pay attention for further updates. Until more concrete containment procedures are developed, treat this as a large-scale containment breach, and act appropriately.

Special Containment Procedures: Research is ongoing to determine methods of containment of the effects of SCP-XXXX. Research is also underway to determine the sapience of SCP-XXXX, and whether communication is possible. All progress is to be reported directly to Senior Researcher Hasper. Further changes to containment must be approved by Operation Molweide senior personnel.

Operation Molweide agents are to infiltrate civilian research surrounding nuclear mechanics and particle physics. they are to prevent any research which may reveal the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX. In the event that a method is containment is found, Operation Molweide is to prevent the use of nuclear power, weapons, and all high energy physics research, as containment may result in a fundamental shift in the operation of matter at the atomic scale. Containment is only to be enacted once Operation Molweide confirms that containment will not cause an information breach.

No containment is necessary, SCP-XXXX has been deemed non-anomalous and reclassified as Explained. Research and information suppression efforts are to cease completely as of 1921/██/██. All applications of SCP-XXXX are also deemed non-anomalous.

Urgent notice from Senior Researcher Hasper

New information has shown that SCP-XXXX is, in fact, anomalous and exhibits features characteristic of control by a sentient entity. As of this notice, SCP-XXXX is reclassified as Keter. Expect major changes to the containment procedures and documentation in the future.
