Janus is a God that presides over duality, doorways and passages and is recognized as a God of two faces, it gives a description of what to expect in the phenomena SCP, which is the doors affected by this leads you to a passage with an inescapable choice between two doors, one is safe, the other is a gamble.
Glitch being that there is a malfunction in the space of the doorway distorted into leading you into this tiny pocket dimension.
It is a phenomena wherein certain doorways are affected by a peculiar wormhole. It has been observed that staring at these affected doors causes tunnel vision, a losing of peripherals causing an individual to focus on it, and a suggestive influence will beckon them to enter it. People can only encounter this phenomena alone and having other people around will revert the door to a normal state, but will activate once again if the condition is met. Once inside the person will find themselves in an empty void capable of being traversed due to the solid flooring you can stand on despite having nothing keeping them from falling. One will notice a complete lack of oxygen and severely low temperatures measuring at 0 up to -10 Celsius while inside the pocket dimension, your entrance at this point should have disappeared, preventing you from backtracking. In front of you lies two doorways seemingly suspended in the void, both are emitting a luminous glow similar to that of the moon amidst all the darkness, the one on your left is wide open and the one on your right is closed shut.
The left doorway based on what has been observed will always lead out into locations that are familiar to the individual that has entered, from the open doorway you will see a preview of exactly which familiar location has been made available. Instances shown by this doorway has been observed to always be affixed onto an already existing doorway, either leading to a room, to outside a building, etc.
The right doorway on the other hand has a more mysterious trend added onto it. It has the tendency to lead the individuals into unknown places. This usually varies from places around the world that the individual hasn't visited yet, to burning in the center of the sun, discovering new planets of unknown lifeforms, and even invading pocket dimensions of other SCPs and anomalies. Attempting to open the right doorway will lead to the closing and disappearance of the other, leaving you with no choice but to continue on. Instances made by this doorway have been observed to create doorways out of thin air in order to let you out, usually leaving an open doorway miraculously standing in the middle of nowhere, sometimes it's not even affixed to the ground.
Formerly known as D-Class Personnel, D-1854, who is of asian descent, put in death row immediately after being apprehended for poisoning the families of what is believed to be his 3 friends. 27 years old. Mute. Shaggy hair. Surprisingly obedient though usually reluctant to follow outrageous orders.
His anomaly was first discovered by the foundation when he was found unscathed during one of the recent containment breaches of SCP-682. His body was found to be surrounded by the torn bodies of multiple facility guards, possibly for trying to escape. Deep claw and bite marks have been observed in his position and yet the D-class's body retains no sign of injury or tearing of clothing.
It is believed to be a sort of stasis where time is completely stopped, where any and all action taken at present time towards him isn't accounted for. Based on the claw and bite marks observed from this incident, the attempted attacks from SCP-682 seemed to have phased through his body similar to what happens when you try to touch a hologram. Another thing to take note of is that he actually feels pain from being attacked. It is presumed that his stasis doesnt actually make him intangible but it rewinds wounds and fractures faster than the eye could see back to the state his body was in prior to being put into stasis. Once it is released, the delayed pain from the damage inflicted during stasis comes crashing back into him rendering him incapacited and in a catatonic state due to neurogenic shock, spasming and traumatized.
Therefore, it is advised that he is to be given vasopressors, atropin and B-class amnestics right after each experiment in order to restore his sanity and cooperation.
D-1854 must attend pain rehabilitation and rest for a week each time before being assigned onto another experiment.
Based on recent experiments, this anomaly only seems to trigger in situations where he believes to be in threat of dying, a certain consciousness of his imminent peril is needed for this to happen. On the other hand, if he is unaware of the danger, it seems this state only triggers only when the he realizes it. Surprisingly, any and all wounds received before the stasis is retained, therefore it is ill advised to subject this D-class to any experiment that may endanger and take advantage of his ignorance.
Finally, he only gets released from stasis once his body has been made sure that the reason for the trigger is no longer present. How he detects whether it is safe or not while in stasis is completely unknown.
A failed attempt at recreating the time related anomaly of a former D-Class Personnel.
It is in the form of a gold filled pocket watch with the foundation emblem engraved in its full plated gilt, measuring 54mm in diameter.
Any living organism in direct contact of this SCP will immediately be put into stasis but the subject remains tangible by external forces. A severe side effect of this pocket watch has been observed that every minute an organism takes while in stasis causes their time to accelerate and age by approximately 10 years, causing them to eventually wither to dust and bones if not removed after 10 minutes. Skin contact with either the SCP or the organism already in stasis will lead to the person also being put into stasis.
Therefore it is heavily advised that the handling of this SCP must be done with elbow length rubber gloves or heavy duty tongs.
Successfully removing the SCP from the person will release them from the stasis with no consciousness of the time that has passed.
These are any and all objects bearing the mark of forgotten dormant entities. The mark isn't a tangible or perceivable characteristic but an aspect that allows organisms to briefly peek into the unfathomable vision of these entities, usually leading to the erosion of their minds causing madness, a divine influence of action similar to enlightenment, or causing them to mimic the entitiy by being put into a immobile trance like state that only seeks to experience these visions. One defining trait that these three scenarios have is the clear obsession the organism obtains from these keystones, wherein they tend to keep these objects near themselves at all times.
Any attempts in successfully taking the keystones from them results as follows:
a. Regressing into a feral like murderous state in order to retake the keystone using physical force.
b. Regressing into a persistent vegetative state.
c. Spontaneous death called Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome. It is assumed that they gain a warped sense of reality from which they perceive this reality as the dream while being asleep in the vision when they're not being stimulated by the keystone.
d. Finally on the rarest of cases, no reaction whatsoever.
Though several GOIs have taken to listing these few individuals as persons of interest, due to the possibility of them not being conscious of their true identity in accordance to the erratic experiences of dormant entities in a dreamlike state, or quite possibly obtaining a form of reality warping in accordance to the characteristic of the dormant entity. Continued investigation and surveillance is advised before taking any further action.
SCP-XXXX appears as a soup bowl and spoon for children that always contains alphabet soup. The alphabet soup in the bowl for some reason remains intangible by any and all means unless the soup spoon of the set is used. The soup will neither spill out nor is it capable of being poured out of the rim of the bowl but raising the soup high above the bowl is allowed. Any attempt to procure the soup had resulted in the soup returning to the bowl and leaving the spoon completely dry. In addition, if the soup spoon's distance from the bowl exceeds the 5 meter radius, a strong magnetic-like pull will cause the spoon to gravitate back within 1 inch of the bowl.
SCP-XXXX somehow utilizes telepathy with the person holding its soup spoon. If the alphabet soup is swirled with the soup spoon, the letters floating on the soup will eventually emerge to spell an object or entity that is currently in the thoughts of the holder. The soup will start to drastically overflow without disturbing the letters until a large enough puddle is formed. The puddle with then start to form the shape of the thoughts as well as mimic the characteristics and peculiarities.
Basically the bowl and spoon are inseparable. the spoon acts as a medium to read the holder's current thoughts. The resulting object or entity's name will be spelled out in the soup. Soup overflows and it starts to mimic the form, characteristics and peculiarities. The manifestation is dependent on the belief and knowledge of the holder. Therefore huge differences can be made from manifesting the same word from different beliefs and knowledge.
For example:
-D-class that has witnessed SCP-076 - resulted in a violent manifestation of the SCP named Abel. Guards scrambled to disturb the alphabet soup that spelled his name in order to cancel the manifestation using the soup spoon. D-XXXXX was torn to shredded pulp by the SCP-XXX-1.
-Atheist D-class from fresh batch - The soup overflowed but the puddle only shuddered for a second before returning to the bowl.
-Dr. Olive who is a devout Catholic - resulted with the soup forming a large decaying corpse that can be observed to have a caved in skull that is most likely caused by massive head trauma from being bashed with a large rock.
