Description: SCP-#### is a memetic hazard that affects subject's response to threat and need to preserve their life. SCP-#### is transferred between any and all living tissue by physical contact including multicellular organisms, single celled organisms, loose surviving tissue cells and all objects housing even basic forms of cognition such as AI and sentient objects though the limits of transfer are unclear.
The anomalous effects of this hazard cause an emotional state that is not present in nature, referred to commonly as "Fear", and has a dramatic effect on subjects both physically and mentally though effects vary by subject. Common occurrences include the release of adrenaline into the blood stream, sweating and rigidity of muscles. This is due to abnormalities caused in the brain of the subject which cannot be reversed once applied. Species that house an amygdala can have that be removed to lessen the affects of SCP-####, but the "Fear" can still manifest for those treated in specific scenarios such as an abundance of carbon dioxide in the bloodstream. Subjects without an amygdala have consistent activation circumstances for this emotional state within their species, unlike those who posses one.
However, subjects that do not posses cognition are unaffected by the Fear state but may still act as carriers for the anomaly. Only a neural system that allows for cognition is required for the Fear to take hold and systems that behave in a similar manor to an amygdala have the same effect when removed. In subjects who never possessed a kind of life-preservation reflexive neural network, the affect of SCP-#### is the same as that of those with removed amygdala.
