Special containment Procedures: SCP-CAT is to be kept within a
3 meter by 2 meter by 3 meter containment unit, with Corrosive-resistant Metal plating re-enforcing both the outside and inside of the chamber, One D-Class is to be sent in to show SCP-CAT affection every 8 hours, as well as feed and water it, SCP-CAT's containment chamber is to be 100 meters away from any other part of the facility, and SCP-CAT is to be watched remotely constantly via CCTV, SCP-CAT-1 instances are to be terminated and incinerated, any hairballs created by SCP-CAT are to also be incinerated.
No SCP personel are allowed within the Containment Chamber at any time.
Description: SCP-CAT resembles a longhair tabby housecat, however having larger eyes than a
normal non-anomalous cat.
SCP-CAT will attempt to cuddle the nearest living human, any human within 5 meters of SCP-CAT will attempt to pet SCP-CAT, The human (hereby referred to as SCP-CAT-1) will then begin to grow cat-like ears and the eyes will start to double in size, the effects of this are irreversible, subject will them begin laughing manaically, vital signs will stop after 5 minutes of exposure, re-animate, and become extremely hostile towards any human it encounters.
Whenever SCP-CAT has not eaten in 24 hours, or has not been watched in 24 hours, or has not been shown affection in over 8 hours,SCP-CAT will regurgitate a hairball which will
be called SCP-CAT-B, SCP-CAT-B is incredibly toxic to any living creature excluding SCP-CAT, All humans within 100 meters
of SCP-CAT-B will be lured to SCP-CAT-B and attempt to consume SCP-CAT-B, SCP-CAT-B will cause any living creature that consumes it to become an instance of SCP-CAT-1.
If SCP-CAT-B is not consumed, it will grow over time into a duplicate of SCP-CAT
One Class D personel is sent in every time the food or water dish gets lower than half way empty, said class D will be under heavy guard while this is done.
Incident log SCP-CAT-1
At 4:** on 11/21/19, SCP-CAT breached containment, 5 personel were injured, 1 died, SCP-CAT's Containment chamber had small traces of stomache acid in some areas, while there was a large hole in one side of the chamber, DNA analysis confirmed that the stomache acid originated from a human (presumably a victim of SCP-CAT's anomalous properties)
inside of SCP-CAT's containment chamber, containment chamber was re-enforced with acid-resistant plating, CCTV footage
shows SCP-CAT spewing stomache acid at the east wall inside of it's containment chamber.
At 3:** on 3/21/20, during a site wide containment breach, SCP-CAT began regurgitating several hairballs into it's chamber, which all turned into duplicates of SCP-CAT, these instances then began spewing stomache acid onto the walls of the chamber, they immidiately started destroying everything in their path, there are at least 8 instances of SCP-CAT that are currently un-contained, SCP-CAT re-classified to keter after this incident.
