The Mirage is kept in a air tight, fire proof room with 5 cm thick steel walls, fire resistant Kevlar is padded inside and out, entering the room is prohibited and cameras especially heat cameras are useless since the smoke and fire created by the creature will interfere, there are no doors to avoid any escape chances, also there are 5 pipes pumping liquid nitrogen into the room the weaken the Mirage. SCP-XXXX is strictly guarded under the Oregon branch.
The being has been a popular inspiration in folklore (especially by the Ingenious Americans), the Mirage doesn't exactly have a physical form, it a living flame or called by the natives "the sun on earth" but that's the most sinister part of it, it could control all life and would tend to mess around with humans causing its victim to go into insanity and unfortunately murder might occur by the deranged subject, when hijacking a vessel the fire burns all unnecessary organs and as the fire grows inside the vessel the mindless human grows (many times 50 ft tall )also if the Mirage doesn't appreciate the vessel it would burn it into ash.
