The Pinnacle of Suffering

Item #: SCP-4223

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4223 containment zone must be monitored daily and staffed with nonviolent D-class personnel with Foundation provided training and expertise in electrical engineering. SCP-4223 containment zone must solely be composed of zinc, with an electric fence exterior of each side of the wall. The confinement zone requires 4 security cameras at each corner of the wall, observing SCP-4223 24/7. The approximate and appropriate size of the containment zone for SCP-5394 should not surpass 1 hectare, however should not be less than 100 square meters. The space inside SCP-4223s containment zone should be left empty with only a table with 3 gallons of water.

Authorized D-class personnel that enter SCP-4223 containment zone for experimental intentions, must be psychologically tested to see if the candidate is capable of handling the non-euclidean, horrendous geometrical configuration of SCP-4223, without transcending into a state of insanity. D-class personnel are allowed access into the containment zone to repair the security cameras and the external electric fence that SCP-4223 occasionally immobilizes with its telepathic ability.

SCP-4223 is confined at Site 59, in the Andes Mountain Range where all personnel are to be transported to and back via helicopter. In the rare scenario of a containment breach, all D-class personnel and researchers are to be evacuated from the site immediately. All remaining guards are to be armed with tasers and are to attempt to recapture SCP-4223, using water as bait. All armed personnel are to notify the Foundation, of the breach and to request reinforcements if necessary. After the evacuation of all personnel, with the exception of guards, all automatic security shutters will close off any potential exit or entry point within the containment zone.

Description: SCP-4223 appears as a 2 meter, humanoid, non-euclidean geometric creature. The molecular composition of SCP-4223 is not of any element on the periodic table, which the Foundation to believe that the creature is of extraterrestrial descent. SCP-4223 when in any situation, always is in a sitting posture with its head down and arms behind its back.

SCP-4223 holds invisible blades capable of extending reach, effectively 5 meters from SCP-4223s main body. The blades form in SCP-4223s back, whenever an object or entity is within a 50 centimeter radius. SCP-4223 will proceed to attack and cut through whatever enters that radius. SCP-4223 also has telepathic abilities, and occasionally immobilizes the security cameras and the electric fence. SCP-4223 can run at 60km/h, outpacing any human today.

SCP-4223 only known dislikes and weakness is the metal zinc and electricity. When SCP-5394 is near zinc, 4223 reacts by hurling its arms in the air and shrieking in a sound of distress. When SCP-4223 is hit with electricity, it immediately goes unconscious. Hence why, every person working with SCP-4223 is required to carry a taser. SCP-4223 is immune to conventional weapons such as bullets and explosives, regenerating its body whenever struck by one. Furthermore, SCP-5394 only known likes is water. When left in the room with 3 gallons of water, SCP-4223 can drink the whole thing in a matter of minutes.

SCP-4223 geometric structure, is so incomprehensible, the majority of personnel working with SCP-4223 are driven into complete insanity. All D-class personnel that enter the containment zone must be psychologically tested to see if they can handle viewing SCP-4223. As a result of all this, images and videos of SCP-4223 are strictly prohibited to be owned and are only allowed to be utilized by senior personnel, for the safety of all Foundation members.

Discovery: SCP-4223 was discovered by Foundation monitoring of emergency hotlines when a 911 call by Kelly Hughes, stated her friend saw a “weird human-looking creature” walking around in the woods. She then proceeded to tell the operator that she was camping at Yosemite National Park, in California. The line went silent for a few seconds when she screamed “it sees us”! Then the phone hung up. The Foundation sent a team to go investigate. Several hours passed when the team finally spotted SCP-4223. They attempted to capture it in a steel box, but SCP-4223 would always cut the steel and leave. By mere chance, one of the team members, struck SCP-4223 with a taser and brought the entity down. Cover up procedures were then taken place in order to remain the Foundations place as secretive. When containment was established, SCP-4223 breached numerous times, until researchers learned more and more about SCP-4223, to a point where proper containment could take place. Only then was current containment deep-rooted and permanent. Albeit, with the deaths and injuries of countless personnel.

Incident SCP-4223-1: On Dec 25, 2005, 4 D-class personnel entered SCP-4223s containment zone to repair the security cameras SCP-4223 has immobilized. While in the midst of completing their task, SCP-4223 out of pure randomness attacked all 4 personnel resulting in their deaths. To this day no one knows why and how it attacked them, because usually SCP-4223 would attack if you are in a 50 centimeters radius, which would be virtually impossible in a hectare of land and a lecture of not to be near SCP-4223.

Incident SCP-4223-2: On July 8, 2016, SCP-4223 breached containment. SCP-4223 noticed that the door used biometrics to unlock the door. So SCP-4223 immobilized the security cameras, which resulted in personnel to repair it. Before the personnel could even reach the door, SCP-4223 grabbed one of the D-class personnel using its telepathic ability, and used him to unlock the door. It ended up killing all 4 D-class personnel and many guards on its way out. Luckily the Foundation, baited SCP-4223 with 5 gallons of water, and quickly struck it with a current of electricity while distracted. This led to the improvement and complexity of the main entrance, where SCP-4223 cannot potentially escape containment. No researcher understands why SCP-4223 had the sudden urge to escape, as it had stayed put for 21 years with no such intention.

Incident SCP-4223-3: On September 1, 2016, SCP-4223 was relocated for experimental reasons to Toronto, while on a truck, the driver heard SCP-4223 shriek extremely loud to such an extent where, the driver had to pull over due to fear of other drivers hearing it. It then stopped, for the rest of the ride. Researchers are now considering that SCP-4223 periodically shrieks, but the answer as to why is still unknown.
