SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX can safely be stored in a containment locker at Site-76 as per request be Researcher Samuel ██████. It is recommended that SCP-XXXX is kept out of sight and away from containment of scips with possible designated insertion points for AA batteries.

Description: SCP-XXXX resembles a silver AA battery with no branding or serial number to be found. SCP-XXXX dimensions include 5 cm in length (including the button) and 1.4 cm in diameter.

SCP-XXXX was found 05/07/19██ in [REDACTED], Canada. A small male child, age ██, attempted to insert SCP-XXXX into a small toy. After inserting SCP-XXXX into the toy, the male child left the room. Later, the male child wished to play with said toy. Upon entering the room the male child found the toy to have vanished. All that remained of the toy was SCP-XXXX. Being the child he was, the male child proceeded to swallow SCP-XXXX without any impulse coming from SCP-XXXX. However, unlike the completely dematerialized toy belonging to the child, the child was not all together gone. SCP-XXXX had made its way through the child's digestive system before actually "finishing off" the male. Sadly, the remains of the child were discovered by his mother. SCP-XXXX was located in the child's pants once examination of his body began. Because SCP-XXXX made it through the child's dietary track before the child had vanished, SCP-XXXX's effect had not finished. This resulted in a shrunken, deformed body resembling the male. Several "dents" were present in the child that assured Dispatch Team ████ an anomaly had occurred. The child's physical state was extremely unsightly, leading to a newbie on the dispatch team stepping out of the apartment before vomiting. It appeared that the child's organs had [REDACTED] and most skeletal structure had collapsed.

Additional Notes: SCP-XXXX has been tested to find how the subject of SCP-XXXX disappears. If any space lies between the point of insertion of SCP-XXXX it will rapidly contract until there is no collective space. It appears that SCP-XXXX causes strange indents to form on the subject, until the subject becomes a shapeless mass and next, nothing. While the object is becoming malformed it should be documented as SCP-XXXX-1. This process can take minutes to [REDACTED] depending on the mass of the object. From testing, It has been proven that anyone with an item that can have SCP-XXXX inserted into itself, has a slight impulse to do so. However, for the impulse to take effect SCP-XXXX must be seen by the subject.

Date: 05/18/19██

Interviewer: Dr. Adrian ██████

Dr. Adrian: Miss, Would you describe your routine on the day of May 07 of this year?

Ms. Jane: I… I suppose. Do you think it will help you people with finding out what happened to my son?

Dr. Adrian: Ma'am, I assure you that any information you provide can and will aid us in this matter.

Dr. Adrian pauses to push a glass of water and a tissue box towards Ms. Jane.

Dr. Adrian: Now are you ready to tell us?

Ms. Jane: Well… I was in the kitchen making ██████ (the child) an afternoon snack. I was making ants on a log, you know? That was ██████'s favorite food. He would love to tell me about the ants crawling around inside him. He had such a vivid imagination… Sometimes he would sing a little..

Dr. Adrian interrupts her in a calm yet stern manner.

Dr. Adrian: Ms. Jane if you truly want help with what happened to your son, please leave the minor detail out for now.

Ms. Jane's eyes fill with a deep sorrow.

Ms. Jane: I'm sorry… I miss my ██████… I miss him so much!

Ms. Jane begins sobbing into a nearby pillow. The pillow had the child's name written on it in cursive.

Ms. Jane: muffled and indistinct I went to go bring ██████ to eat his snack when I found him shaking on the floor! He wouldn't stop shaking and he kept [REDACTED]. There was blood everywhere on the floor and ██████ was making awful noises!

Dr. Adrian: If you can, would you describe the physical condition of your son at the time?

Ms. Jane: No! No, I can't! Just leave me alone

Ms. Jane proceeded to toss the water in the face of Lieutenant ██████. Two personnel quickly retained and subdued her.
