Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-XXXX is described as a small antique radio, approximately 6 by 10 by 6 inches in volume. A woman’s voice continuously reads out a broadcast of letters, numbers, phrases, and words in a multitude of languages. So far no link has been discovered to connect the series. They are believed to be random.
Any who hear the broadcast [Here known as SCP-XXXX-1] will be afflicted by their exposure with a degree of severity depending on the amount of time they were exposed.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is enclosed within an 8 by 12 by 8 inch sound-proofed box and locked in a 1 meter by 1 meter square room. The walls, floor, and ceiling of the room are covered with noise-canceling foam.
The entrance to SCP-XXXX’s room is made up of two doors, one entering into a slightly larger room, also thoroughly soundproofed, and the second entering into the holding room. At least one door must always remain closed. They should never be open at the same time.
Should there be a need to enter the room at any time, hearing-impaired D-class personnel or D-class personnel equipped with noise-cancelling headphones playing white noise or loud music will be allowed to enter, and upon exiting, quarantined for 12 hours for observation and then released.

For exposures between 5-15 seconds, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be supplied with a journal and told to chronicle all strange occurrences, including unusual dreams, hallucinations, delusions (paranoid or otherwise), etc. If SCP-XXXX-1 is attempting re-exposure, administer minor amnestic and quarantine for 48 hours. Observe for signs of infection.
For exposures between 15-90 seconds, quarantine for 72 hours. If SCP-XXXX-1 is attempting re-exposure, administer strong amnestics and re-quarantine for 48. Observe for signs of infection.
For exposures longer than 90 seconds but less than 10 minutes, immediately quarantine for 72-168 hours (2-7 days). Observe for signs of infection.
For exposures longer than 10 minutes, remove SCP-XXXX-1 from the holding room through any means necessary and terminate immediately. Any who come into contact with SCP-XXXX-1 lacking protection should be considered infected and are to be quarantined and observed for signs of infection.
Signs of infection include: visual and audio hallucinations, night terrors, abnormal sleep patterns, memory loss, alternating feelings of existential dread, helplessness, euphoria, mania, rage, or other elevated emotions, delusions, and sudden personality changes.
If SCP-XXXX-1 is observed showing two or more signs of infection subsequent to exposure to SCP-XXXX, terminate SCP-XXXX-1 from a safe distance and disinfect the area thoroughly.
