Special Containment Procedures: Following the observation of its nature and several dozen unsuccessful attempts at containment, SCP-XXXX is to be allowed to roam Site-19 at its discretion. Personnel are advised against attempting to interact with SCP-XXXX. Any and all personal injuries or damages associated with SCP-XXXX are to be considered self-inflicted and regular first aid protocols carried out.

Description: SCP-XXXX resembles a polished, highly reflective silver metal sphere with a diameter of 12 cm (approx. 4.7 inch). Any attempts made by entities other than Dr. █████ Landry to approach SCP-XXXX will cause it to move away rapidly, often retreating across walls and ceilings when cornered. While the nature of its movement suggests some form of gyroscopic mechanism, the polished surface of SCP-XXXX makes any observation of a rolling motion impossible. SCP-XXXX has also been hypothesised to utilise Van Der Waal's forces due to its ability to move across any surface it is comes into contact with. Dr. Landry has reported that holding the object will simply cause it to vibrate at a high frequency and no vectorial motion can be observed until it is placed back onto another surface. It is currently unknown whether these behaviours are linked to self-preservation instincts (indicating some degree of sentience) or are simply a physical phenomenon. Dr. Landry is currently the only entity displaying the ability to interact with SCP-XXXX.
