"Lust Curse"

Item #: SCP-████

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Individuals known to be affected by SCP-████ are not deemed a threat to the public, so long as they comply with instructions from the SCP Foundation. And as such, these individuals are allowed to remain in society. Should an individual affected by SCP-████ disregard containment procedures, they are to be detained and transported to the nearest facility for permanent containment.

Should it become known that a member of the public is affected by SCP-████, they are to be temporarily detained at the nearest facility for questioning and instructions. Should they claim to have any memory of encountering a "wolf-like creature", the location provided of said encounter should be searched for any evidence that may lead to the location of other the SCP-████-1 instances. The affected individual is to have a tracking chip implanted into their foot, and their detainment is to continue, until the installation of security devices within the home are successfully installed. These security devices include the replacement of all exit doors with windowless impact resistant security doors, the attachment of retractable window guards to all windows, placement of an equipment communications device where it is unlikely to be damaged by the contained SCP-████-1 instances and connection of it to the home Wi-Fi network, and the recovery of the affected individual's contact information. A list of temp jobs have been set aside for affected individuals to select from, in case they miss enough days at work to warrant termination, while detained. Should the communications device be disconnected, the affected individual is to be contacted immediately and instructed to reconnect as soon as possible.

Affected individuals are to be contacted through all means available and notified of an upcoming full moon no less than twenty-four hours prior to the estimated time of the event. If an affected individual has children, roommates, pets, or anyone else in their household they and/or the Foundation do not want affected, they are to provide a place for them to stay throughout the containment period, such as with a relative, a trusted friend, hotel, ect., before 3:00 PM on the day of the event. Affected individuals are to be inside their homes no later than 4:00 PM, at which time, manual control center is signal the security doors and window guards to seal and lock in their home to close and the chip reader to become active. This containment period will remain in effect until 7:00 AM. Should an SCP-████-1 instance be outside of its home, while the containment period is in effect, the nearest MTF Unit properly equipped to handle the situation is to be dispatched to the area on urgent orders to locate and capture the loose SCP-████-1 instance dead or alive.

Should security equipment malfunction, preventing the affected from leaving after the containment period expires, a maintenance crew is to be dispatched to the home to carry out repairs and investigate the cause of the malfunction.

Description: SCP-████ is a hex affecting humans, similar in nature to that of the werewolf curse commonly seen in works of fiction; commonly observed in Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Siberia, the Central United States, and Canada. SCP-████ is transmitted through claws and bites by an SCP-████-1 instance. There is no evidence of transmission by any other means, and it is not hereditary. Affected individuals are much more difficult to identify, as SCP-████ being paranormal in nature makes it impossible to detect, making it only possible to identify them by observing their transformation into or be attacked by an SCP-████-1 instance or through evidence linking them to traces or reports of an SCP-████-1 instance.

At nightfall on the night of a full moon, an individual affected by SCP-████ will begin transformation, which will be known as SCP-████-1 from this point on. SCP-████-1 will feel heightened sexual desires from a sudden increase in the production of sex hormones. 8-15 minutes after first showing symptoms, SCP-████-1 will begin shedding its body and facial hair and large patches of grey fur will appear in their places, until the fur thoroughly covers its body. As this is happening, a tail will begin to protrude from above SCP-████-1's natal cleft, and SCP-████-1's head will begin to reshape into the appearance of that of a wolf. Exponential growth in height and muscle mass does appear to take place in both male and female SCP-████-1 instances, during transformation. During transformation, SCP-████-1 instances will have features exaggerated that potential mates may find attractive, including but not limited to enlargement of genitals, enlargement of breasts and buttocks, muscle growth, widening of hips and outer thighs, and plumpening of lips. The only permanent changes SCP-████-1 instances appear to experience from the transformation process is repairs of injuries and/or deformities of the reproductive system. This includes injuries to it resulting from surgery, such as circumcision, vasectomy, and orchiectomy. It is believed that this happens to ensure that SCP-████-1 instances will be able to inseminate its mate.

On completion of the transformation, SCP-████-1 will begin to explore its surrounding environment and attempt to locate a human or SCP-████-1 instance to mate with. Upon finding what it deems a worthy mate, SCP-████-1 will force itself onto its selected mate. Due to the aggressive nature of SCP-████-1's mating process, risk of transmitting SCP-████ to a human mate is extremely high. While it is rare for SCP-████-1 to attack humans, SCP-████-1 are an intrasexually selective species; and male instances of SCP-████-1 will become aggressive towards other males that it perceives as a competitor for its mate. Over the counter contraceptives appear to be effective at preventing female SCP-████-1 instances from being impregnated.

Some instances of SCP-████-1 appear to have features exaggerated not normal for their sex. And in some cases, submissive homosexual men are found to develop more feminine attributes during transformation, such as enlargement of the lower body, male breast development, male lactation, and shrinking of the genitalia. SCP-████ does not appear to examine the hormones or genetics of its host, and instead, their sexual habits and fantasies; likely due to the limited understanding of human biology by SCP-████'s creators.

On ██/██/1979, a diary dated somewhere in the mid tenth century was unearthed by archeologists in western Austria which, when translated from Latin, described what is believed to be the origins of SCP-████ and the first instances of SCP-████-1. The diary belonged to a priest in an unnamed town located in the Alpines, within the Holy Roman Empire. This town being very isolated from the outside world, relied heavily on labor within the town for survival, as described by the author. The author describes a decrease in population creating a labor shortage that begins to constrict the townspeople's access to vital resources. Months later, the author describes women coming forth claiming to have been raped by a "wolf/man creature" and his discovery of footprints, which he describes as resembling human footprints with dog-like padding. This correlating with the author investigating recent rituals by a local cult, the author believes there to be a link between the two and to continue his investigation. Entries into the diary stop, six days after the first entry to mention SCP-████. The reason for this is unknown.
