SCP-XXXX floating through the air.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained in a 10x3x10m cell constructed out of Larix Sibirica painted RAL 9010 (Pure White). The temperature within SCP-XXXX's cell is not to exceed 0° C ceaselessly. To ensure the well-being of personnel, SCP-XXXX is to be left alone at all times. Level 3+ clearance personnel are to enter SCP-XXXX's cell for experimentation if ordered by the Site Director. No ideal safety gear has been developed yet, purely because of a lack of knowledge.

In case of a containment breach, SCP-XXXX-1 (D-Class personnel member) is to be used to lure SCP-XXXX back into its cell. All personnel present in the vicinity are obliged to close all doors not leading to SCP-XXXX's cell and leave. While SCP-XXXX-1 will suffer from the medical consequences, SCP-XXXX-1 will eventually reach SCP-XXXX's cell and run out before SCP-XXXX is able to. To give SCP-XXXX-1 the essential space to run in, the cell has been made 10x3x10m. Once successfully contained, SCP-XXXX-1 is to be brought back to his cell until further notice.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an amorphous point of bright light floating approximately 2 meters above the ground, remaining below one meter in size. The source of the light is unknown, however, SCP-XXXX is invisible during the day, even in shadow or darkness. SCP-XXXX becomes visible in less than a second at 9 PM, while it disappears at the same speed at 9 AM. While invisible, SCP-XXXX is still present but without any of its day effects. This behavior has been confirmed by surveillance through monitors connected to the Infrared (IR) security cameras within SCP-XXXX's cell.

SCP-XXXX follows humans at 4KM/h, a pace slightly slower than the average human walking speed (5KM/h). SCP-XXXX never managed to catch up with a human, because those who witnessed SCP-XXXX started running away uncontrollably into the opposite direction of where SCP-XXXX was located. This anxious behavior of victims is likely due to high emission doses of 'sensed presence' SCP-XXXX gives off to those who view it. Humans who have viewed SCP-XXXX have nightmares repeating their initial encounter, remaining traumatic enough to interfere with daily sleep cycles. When temperatures exceed 0°, SCP-XXXX will bright up its light, causing a panic attack followed by long-term anxiety on top of the conditions SCP-XXXX causes in freezing temperatures to those who view it. It is unknown what SCP-XXXX's reaction is to -70° C or lower.

The first known encounter between SCP-XXXX and a human was in Siberia during the winter of ████. A hiker who was setting up his camp at the time (shortly after 9 PM), spotted SCP-XXXX as a little white dot above the horizon. SCP-XXXX can be seen through any material but wood, at least for as far research has stretched. As confirmed by the Hiker, SCP-XXXX wasn't visible when it was behind a tree. The research on why SCP-XXXX can only be seen through wood, is ongoing.

Addendum 1: Containment
The security personnel was able to contain SCP-XXXX by leading it from the place where it has originally been found, Siberia, to Site ██ all on foot. Because of this process taking quite a while, personnel had to swap forces occasionally to get rest. All personnel members physically involved in this operation have been reported with the additional medical conditions SCP-XXXX causes.

Interview with the Hiker

(The Hiker appeared to have trouble speaking at certain points. The following audio file has been corrected.)
<The Audio File Contains The Following>
Researcher ████: Hello there, may I ask what your name is?
Hiker: █████.
Researcher ████: Nice to meet you, █████.
Hiker: It's a pleasure.
Researcher ████: Okay, so, you were the first one to discover the anomaly, at least publicly, or The White Light, as you call it.
Hiker: Yes, that's true.
Researcher ████: What did you experience when first seeing it?
Hiker: It was nightfall, around 9:30 PM, when I was setting up my tent. As I turned around, I saw a little white spot just above the horizon. At first, I thought it could be someone else with a flashlight, so I shouted and walked towards the light. However, it didn't respond in any way. At that moment I realized it just couldn't be a human. I suddenly felt extremely scared and my body started to run to the opposite the direction of where the light was. I really didn't command myself to. Ever since I have been getting nightmares every night…
Researcher ████: Interesting, and thanks for telling it briefly, but can you explain the nightmares?
Hiker: Ever since the encounter with The White Light, I have been getting the same nightmare every night and it keeps scaring me every time again to the point I wake up all scared. The nightmare is, you can say, an exact replay of the encounter in real life.
Researcher ████: Thanks for the information! Anything more we need to know about the anomaly?
Hiker: Yes, there is one thing I forgot to say; as I said earlier, I felt extremely scared at a certain distance. But just before my body started running, I tried closing my eyes to see if my anxious feeling would fade away. Instead, I saw the entire environment as if I had my eyes open. When my body started to run, I also tried putting my hands in front of my eyes, which gave the same effect. When there was a tree in between me and The White Light at some point, I didn't see it anymore.
Researcher ████: Do you have any idea how the anomaly, and environment, was visible through your eyelids and hands while it wasn't through wood?
Hiker: No I don't. However, I thought it was because of material hardness.
Researcher ████: We'll investigate how that is possible.
Hiker: Thanks! This is all I can say about The White Light.
Researcher ████: Thanks again for the information, that'll help us greatly in the research regarding that anomaly!

Soon after the interview, multiple experiments have been performed on SCP-XXXX involving all types of materials. All materials turned out to have their transparency removed if SCP-XXXX appeared behind it, and so exposing the environment through the material. While the material was transparent, the other properties of the material remained the same, according to multiple researchers. When materials were faced away, they got their non-transparent state back.

List of used materials in the first experiment:
- Steel
- Aluminium
- Carbon Fiber
- Lead
- Plastic
- Fabric
- Stone
- Rubber
- Leather
- Concrete
