The Inventor

SCP-X

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is free to roam around the facility and to go outside with permission.

Description: SCP-X is researcher [REDACTED] a Caucasian male, 1.79m tall, brown hair and green eyes, member of the now disbanded [REDACTED]. Undergoing an x-ray exam, SCP-X will appear hollow under the skin, but examination of his lost arm didn't show any anomaly. After the events of Incident-X-03, SCP-X has a prosthetic arm similar in design to SCP-073's.
SCP-X seems to be stronger than the average man SCP-X is capable of lifting several tonnes with the aid of his prosthetic limbs.
The anomalous nature of SCP-X is revealed when he enters a trance state. This event can be predicted and prevented, a sign of this happening is when SCP-X asks for different types of materials This event can no longer be prevented or predicted after the events of Incident-X-06. If the requirements are met, the trance will begin. During this event, SCP-X will proceed to create some kind of item, known as SCP-X-1. Items can range from simple objects SCP-X might need to never seen before constructs, the time it takes to create this items varies by the item's size and complexity.
Items created by SCP-X include but are not limited to:

  • A bunch of unknown chemicals.
  • A spoon.
  • A plastic bottle full of water water labeled "San Pellegrino".
  • An advanced exoskeleton similar to the one from the video game "Titanfall". And it's fucking awesome.
  • [REDACTED]
  • A pair prosthetic arms and legs.
  • A perfect copy of SCP-429.
  • The BFG from the video game "DOOM".

Addendum-X-1: Incident-X-01

The anomalous nature of SCP-X was discovered when Private Simmons went to get Researcher [REDACTED] and found the room full of miniature SCP-939 toys. Private Simmons woke the still working Researcher [REDACTED] up, he almost got decapitated.

Addendum-X-2: Incident-X-03

This log was pieced together by using various camera feeds

Begin Log

[15:25] All cameras in the facility turn off.

[15:30] All cameras turn back on.

[15:40] SCP-682's containment chamber opens. SCP-682 breaches containment and kills six guards.

[15:42] SCP-X attracts SCP- 682's attention and starts running, dropping various gadgets to slow SCP-682 down.

[15:43] SCP-X stops in front of SCP-682's chamber, barely avoiding to touch the acid. SCP-682 is about to reach SCP-X when he pulls out what appears to be a grapple gun and aims it at the ceiling trying to avoid 682's charge. SCP-682 manages to stop itself by digging it's claws into the concrete floor and bites at the researcher, ripping his arm off. SCP-X falls to the ground. Researcher [REDACTED] throws two devices, one at 682 and one inside it's containment chamber, the first attaches to 682's torso, while the other appears to float in midair. The device activates, SCP-682 is pulled inside the chamber crashing into the floating device. SCP-X quickly stands up and closes SCP-682's containment chamber, which quickly fills up with acid.

[15:45] SCP-X walks up the corridor towards his lab and falls to the ground.

[15:47] Researcher Colangelo finds SCP-X and brings him to the infirmary.

End Log

Addendum-X-3: Incident-X-05

SCP-X came to the Foundation hungover to work after a night of partying with his old colleagues. He then went into his lab and started working on something. Once he was done he turned the machine on and leaves the room. After approximately seven minutes the machine exploded.
When questioned about his actions SCP-X replied: "Not my fault our boss is a drunkhard bastard".

Addendum-X-4: Incident-X-06

This takes place the day after the events of Incident-X-05.

Begin Log

[08:14] SCP-X goes to his lab and puts a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. He proceeds to destroy all cameras present in the room.

[08:21] Security guards reach SCP-X's lab and are unable to open the door.

[08:24] Other security guards bring a breaching charge and place it on the door.

[08:25] Door breached. The first two security guards to enter the lab are immediately incinerated by a device placed on top of the door. The others try to shoot at SCP-X but the bullets get completely destroyed as well. Further attempts to enter the room are dismissed.

[11:27] SCP-X finishes to build whatever he was working on, it looks like the machine that exploded during Incident-X-05. Turns around and stands right in front of the door. Apparently SCP-X declared his lab off-limits for the time being.

Addendum-X-5: Interrogation by Doctor Lange

Begin Log

Dr. Lange: Hello there, X

SCP-X: Come on, Klaus. We are colleagues, call me by my name.

Dr. Lange: Ok, I'm sorry. How are you doing, Lawrence?

SCP-X: I'm fine, thanks for asking. I guess I'm here for what happened today, am I right?

Dr. Lange: Yes, you are correct.

SCP-X: Go on then. Shoot.

Dr. Lange: Sure. *Dr. Lange proceeds to open the file with the questions* Why did you kill those agents?

SCP-X: It wasn't my intent, but I didn't want you to stop me. To be fair, I did put a sign on the door.

Dr. Lange: Noted. What where you building?

SCP-X: For lack of a better term I'd have to say a super advanced 3D printer.

Dr. Lange: What do you need it for?

SCP-X: I was so fucking tired of you preventing me from creating. So I built something that would help me to avoid that.

Dr. Lange: What does it do exactly?

SCP-X: *SCP-X seems confused for a few seconds* You're a scientist. You should know what a 3D printer does. *Sighs* It does the same thing, but doesn't need to be refilled, kind of like SCP-294 except it takes the materials from another dimension I discovered, don't worry, there are no living creatures there, not anymore at least.

Dr. Lange: *The doctor looks at SCP-X with a serious expression* What did you do to-

SCP-X: *SCP-X cuts Dr. Lange off* Don't ask questions you don't want an answer to, Klaus. *Laughs* Even I don't know how, but knowledge just comes to my mind, I am not allowed to share it all unfortunately.

Dr. Lange: So, you know everything there is to know?

SCP-X: Don't be silly doctor. I'm not God. Simply if I want to build something, and I want it functional, I will know how to build it.

Dr. Lange: Can you build something to destroy SCP-682 for good?

SCP-X: *SCP-X is silent for a few seconds* No, I'm sorry.

Dr. Lange: Noted. Now, back to the questions. Why did you render your lab off-limits?

SCP-X: I'm just tired of you people interfering.

Dr. Lange: Did you turn the…"Death Lasers" off?

SCP-X: Do you think I'm stupid? No.

Dr. Lange: What if someone needs to talk to you and tries to enter the lab?

SCP-X: Just knock?

Dr. Lange: True.

SCP-X: Need anything else?

Dr. Lange: No, we are done for today. Thank you for the cooperation.

SCP-X: No problem Klaus.

*Dr. Lange leaves the room*

SCP-X: Eat dick you German fuck.

Addendum-X-6: Comments by Dr. Lange

"That guy is dangerous. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even go into a trance when he builds, he's just acting. When he's working he is well aware of what he's doing, I can tell that for sure. He probably caused 682's containment breach the time he lost his arm, just an excuse to get his fucking prosthetic arm on. I mean, think about it, if he wanted he could build a device that can blow up the entire fucking planet just for fun. Tell the O5 to do something about it"
