Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4647 is to be contained without a large cell room in Site-██. Attendance is not necessary and in the event that security personnel is to intervene, they must wear noise-canceling headphones. The containment cell is to be checked weekly to ensure that it’s sound-proofing properties are still viable. SCP-4647’s batteries are to remain out unless a test procedure is ongoing.

Description: SCP-4647 appears to be an Emerson PD5098 portable CD/radio player. When SCP-4647 is heard by a subject (now referenced as SCP-4647-1), SCP-4647 induces a state of stress, paranoid, and aggression. These anomalous properties accompany the reference of an "individual" hereby referenced as SCP-4647-2 of which SCP-4647 will emit the phrase "I am watching you" on repeat. SCP-4647 will emit this phrase no matter the audio input.

SCP-4647 plays at less than ██ dB and, post-activation, SCP-4647-1 will notify that "he" (SCP-4647-2) is "watching" the subject. Around one to three minutes post-activation, SCP-4647-1 will become unconscious after a mental frenzy. Upon regaining consciousness, SCP-4647-1 will attempt to commit suicide through any ways possible, most commonly [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-4647 will remain to emit until the batteries are depleted.

SCP-4647 can reproduce itself through recordings hereby referred to as SCP-4647-3 instances. SCP-4647-3 retains the anomalous effects of SCP-4647 and can create SCP-4647-1 instances. It is unknown if SCP-4647-2 remains an actual being or simply a parse of the anomaly. As of date, the manufacturer of SCP-4647 has not been identified.

TEST LOG 4647-1-A. LEVEL-1 CLEARANCE REQUIRED.

Test Log 4647-1-A;

SCP-4647 is prepared inside a large containment cell. Research observation stands within an observation chamber horizontal from SCP-4647 and emergency shutters are primed if a containment breach is to occur. D-052 and D-025 are standing outside the containment chamber, accompanied by security personnel as the test begins.

00:00:00. Test begins.

00:00:01. D-052 enters the containment chamber through an airlock cycle.

00:00:10. D-052 approaches SCP-4647.

00:00:25. At the request of observation, D-052 opens the container that SCP-4647 is within.

00:00:40. D-052 places the radio on top of the box at observation's order where they can document the physical description of SCP-4647.

00:00:52. D-052 would move approximately three paces away from SCP-4647 at the order of observation.

00:01:30. The airlock transfer doors have lab rats placed within them to test animal response to SCP-4647. This door is open and they move into the chamber.

00:01:58. D-052 retrieves the rat cages and places them next to the radio at observation's request.

00:02:10. D-052, at the request of observation once more, places his hand on to the radio and hold on SCP-4647 for 30 (thirty) seconds.

00:02:45. D-052 is ordered to turn on the radio and retreat to the airlock.

00:02:48. SCP-4647 is activated.

00:02:59. As SCP-4647 is activated, the rats within the cage become agitated and take position farthest away as possible inside the airlock.

00:03:25. The specimen ceases movement.

00:05:40. The first part of test 4647-1 concludes.

TEST LOG 4647-1-B. LEVEL-2 CLEARANCE REQUIRED.

Audio Transcript of Test 4647-1-B;

After test 4647-1-A, D-025 is selected to enter the containment chamber after D-052 in order to test human response to SCP-4647. D-025 has been equipped with measurement and observation gear, as well as radio equipment and noise-canceling headphones.

Observation: "25. You can hear me correct? Confirm now."

D-025: "I can hear you."

Observation: "25, approach the radio."

At this point, a sound is emitted that cannot be detected by Observation's sensors.

D-025: "Alright."

D-025: "Are you hearing this?"

Observation: "25, attempt to turn off the radio. Do this now."

D-025: "These earplugs don't work. I can hear it clearly." (Note: D-025's headgear had been later found to have sustained a mechanical malfunction, compromising the noise-canceling capabilities.)

Observation: "It is fine. Attempt to turn it off, you are in no harm."

D-025: "…nothing."

D-025: "He's talking to me."

Observation: "Repeat what 'he' is saying to you."

D-025: "He's always watching me."

Observation: "Can you see him? Describe him, describe his voice."

At this point, D-025 begins to look around the room, as in an apparently worried state. Observation's medical staff reports an increase in heart rate.

D-025: "…it's deep, a bit contorted. It's slow. It's always the same exact phrase."

Observation: "How do you feel?"

D-025: "I can hear it perfectly even with the muffs on."

D-025: "I feel uneasy. It feels like he's talking straight to me, not a recording."

D-025 grabs SCP-4647, attempting to look for buttons. Upon finding the controls SCP-4647 has, he attempts to change settings of SCP-4647 to no effect.

D-025: "I need to hear it better, hold on."

D-025 takes off his headphones, placing them on to the container.

Observation: "Alright. I'm going to ask you to take ahold of mice's cage. Do this now."

D-025: "I can hear it clearly now."

D-025 moves his head closer to SCP-4647.

D-025: "…yes."

Observation: "Have you heard anything else from this man?"

D-025: "He told me he's here, that's all I need to know."

Observation: "Alright. Move to the door behind you. You'll be retrieved soon."

Observation's medical staff report a return to normal heart rate, but the of D-025 bodily language remains constant within a fearful state.

D-025: "Are you watching me?"

Observation: "25, check the radio for any sort of insertion tray. Where you might put a disc perhaps."

D-025 drops SCP-4647 in an erratic manner. He backs up from the container, grabbing the earmuffs, and receding into a corner.

D-025: "I saw him, he's coming."

Observation's medical staff report D-025 is on a receding verge towards a cardiac arrest. D-025 then proceeds to move towards the windows, eyes bloodshot. D-025 appears to be screaming.

D-025: "GET ME THE [EXPLETIVE] OUT OF HERE! NOW!"

Observation: "Move to the doors and you'll be removed. Do this now, 25."

Observation: "Remain calm."

D-025 continues to bang his fists on the window, in panic.

Observation: "I repeat 25. Move to the doors now."

D-025: "HE's HERE! GET ME OUT!"

D-025 runs to SCP-4647 and proceeds to grab it.

D-025: "SHUT THE [EXPLETIVE] UP!"

D-025 begins speaking in a delirious, "insane" tone before collapsing on the floor, going unconscious.

Security personnel enter to remove D-025 and place D-025 in quarantine.

Post-test Action Report

After test 4647-1-B, D-025 awoke in quarantine upon which D-025 immediately begin inflicting injuries upon himself, aiming to [REDACTED]. These injuries later resulted in suicide by blood loss. Upon further recollection of the incident, observational staff recommended adding blind-folding as a part of the testing procedure to prevent suicidal tendencies post-test.

Hazardous Materials Containment Liaison (HMCL) ████ Tharol is being interviewed at Containment Site-██ regarding the retrieval of SCP-4647 by Mobile Task Force Sigma-7.

HMCL Tharol: "Well for starters…"

HMCL Tharol: "The Mobile Task Force subdued it in a capture operation."

HMCL Tharol: "They located it in the residence of the now-deceased civilian. He has somehow gotten into possession of it - how exactly he did so is unknown."

Interviewer One: "Tell us about this civilian. Occupation… perhaps any connections to the radio."

HMCL Tharol: "There was nothing unusual. He was just a service worker."

HMCL Tharol: "He had barricaded himself into his home and was threatening suicide. The task force entered, and an agent was killed in action - the man shot him in a fit of homicidal rage."

HMCL Tharol: "The man shortly turned the weapon on himself - why he didn't have the will to fight any further is unknown, however, being descended upon by a swarm of special forces tends to do that to you."

Interviewer Two: "Same symptoms as our Class-D personnel."

HMCL Tharol: "And it had something to do with that radio signal."

Interviewer Three: "Maybe we can pinpoint its location — where it's broadcasting from."

HMCL Tharol: "I'm afraid that'd be difficult."

HMCL Tharol: "That's what the task force was trying to do — this was their only lead."

HMCL Tharol: "Somehow the signal is simultaneously the source and the broadcaster."

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the post-Urban location of SCP-XXXX, it is to be restricted from civilian access. Satellite and observation posts are to monitor the grounds of SCP-XXXX continuously while keeping an electric fence that separates SCP-XXXX maintained approximately 450 meters out of SCP-XXXX-1 instances. Due to the unpredictability of SCP-XXXX, no organic lifeforms are to come out or enter SCP-XXXX unless approved by Level-4/XXXX personnel under testing conditions.

During White or Black responses, observation posts are to keep pressurized locks on doors as well as windows. After these events, all anomalous entities that have been produced and evicted from SCP-XXXX are to be neutralized immediately.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a forest near ███████ █████ State Park, Ohio. Discovered on ██/██/19██ by the Foundation after the deaths of █ people caused during a storm above SCP-XXXX as well as a number of disappearances presumed to be caused by SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX is the origin of SCP-XXXX-1 instances, plants of the family Arborvitae in the species Thuja occidentalis. Surveillance has shown SCP-XXXX-1 reacts to specific weather stimuli. These responses are often unpredictable and result in lethal combinations under multiple stimuli which fall under multiple categories as listed below.

Clear: SCP-XXXX is always under Clear response when there are no weather or external stimuli in the range of SCP-XXXX. During this time, SCP-XXXX-1 will not excrete any chemicals or react in any way specific to its anomalous properties besides reproduction.

White: The White response occurs during the arrival of organic lifeforms in range of SCP-XXXX-1. During this response, SCP-XXXX-1 will excrete the chemical compound █_████_█, as well as radiation. How this does not terminate the plants by either the storage or excretion of the chemicals is unknown. This often results in the termination of immune system cells as well as the progressive degeneration of the organic lifeform, leading to death.

Grey: The Grey response will occur under the weather stimuli of either storms or fog/high-level humidity. SCP-XXXX-1 will lift it branches upward revealing its thorns which will begin to excessively grow outward from SCP-XXXX-1 and reveal pores. These will excrete chemical compound █_██_█ which encourages the growth of SCP-XXXX-1 and the death of nearby foreign plants excluding grass. This chemical is toxic and generally prevents breathing.

Black: Only two Black responses have occurred since the discovery of SCP-XXXX. They result in the absolute disappearance of the personnel and is usually triggered by the attempted deconstruction of any SCP-XXXX-1 instances. The process of the Black response is [REDACTED]. The construction of various anomalies (hereby classified as SCP-XXXX-2) and mutations amongst SCP-XXXX-2 must be neutralized immediately on verification due to their reality-bending properties.
