Instances of SCP-XXXX swimming in their containment.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures (REVISION XXXX-SCP-02): SCP-XXXX is to be contained in an outside square fenced area measuring about two (2) acres x two (2) acres, located within Humanoid Containment Site-06-3. The area should have a large body of clean water spanning about half of the total space, and the land area should be planted with a large forest, mostly consisting of Oak trees, as a means of shelter. The area should be connected to a tranquilizer dispersal system in the case if any of SCP-XXXX attempts to escape into the outside environment. SCP-XXXX is allowed to enter the site cafeteria, but not without trackable neck braces. No personnel in the facility are permitted to drink, swim or otherwise come in contact with liquids affected by SCP-XXXX-A, and only Level 2 personnel and over are permitted to enter SCP-XXXX's containment area.
Description: SCP-XXXX refers to a a collective three (3) humanoid statues, resembling the likeness of a typical white Asian family - the ''mother'', known as SCP-XXXX-1, the ''father'', SCP-XXXX-2, and their ''son'', SCP-XXXX-3. SCP-XXXX is made of standard industrial metal that is study and cannot be broken, and coated in a unique paint of varying colors. This paint contains a currently unidentified chemical known as SCP-XXXX-A, which can easily contaminate liquids. Noticeably, the paint on the statues is slowly fading and breaking away.
The members of SCP-XXXX speak in fluent English (albeit with a slight accent), and have a tendency to converse with each other, talking about standard fare such as the weather and what they had done that day. They exhibit a rather hostile and angered state toward most of the Site personnel in certain situations, such as continuous disturbance or unknown beings or personnel entering their containment, even going as far to threaten to escape their enclosure. Nonetheless, they seem to be in a stable emotional state and are most of the time cooperative, no cases have occurred of the members of SCP-XXXX attacking personnel. SCP-XXXX is most often found swimming in the lake within their containment. This is causing their paint to become damaged, but reports from the statues say that it does not cause physical harm to them.
When SCP-XXXX enters any body of water, it converts the water to a pitch-black liquid, caused by contamination through SCP-XXXX-A. Any subject who drinks or attempts to enter the contaminated water has their skin become harder and stiffer, and start to flake away from the body, leaving nothing but [REDACTED] when fully removed. This causes severe pain to the subject, but not enough to fully expire. Strangely, direct contact with the statue yields no damage to the subject. The statues seem to be ignorant of their contamination and damage, albeit not intentional.
The family is in close proximity at all times, usually no more than ten (10) metres. Each member always does exactly what the others are doing. The family has a strong bond together, and could possibly be angered or attack if a member is separated from the rest. Research is currently underway on SCP-XXXX to discover more about how the statues bond and their attitude toward each other.
Recovery Log: The subjects were recovered in the ██████ Lake in ████ on ██/██/████. The family was found alongside a large amount of debris in the water body, and were taken into custody for investigation. The subjects were brought into Site-06 for containment ██ days later.
