SCP-XXXX-P prior to containment.

blockbuster

SCP-XXXX-B prior to containment.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: No canine organisms are to be brought into the plaza containing SCP-XXXX. Liquid canine repellant is to be sprayed in the 100-meter vicinity surrounding SCP-XXXX at the start of every week to deter canines from being exposed to SCP-XXXX. In the case that a wild canine is found in the vicinity of SCP-XXXX, the canine should be removed from the area with precautions to prevent injury to the canine and the handler.

Individuals previously exposed to SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects are to be thoroughly screened by Foundation psychologist and administered Class 1 amnestics. If discussion regarding anomalous occurrences surrounding SCP-XXXX are found on discussion boards, light social engineering to derail the discussing as an isolated incident is to be employed.

The two businesses encompassing SCP-XXXX are to be sealed while the entire plaza is to be enclosed in a fenced perimeter guarded by armed personnel. No unauthorized personnel is to be allowed near SCP-XXXX while all personnel wishing to operate on SCP-XXXX are to undergo a thorough psychological screening for psychopathy and tendencies towards animal cruelty.

Description: SCP-XXXX consists of a closed PetSmart (designated SCP-XXXX-P) and Blockbuster (designated SCP-XXXX-B) situated side-by-side in a plaza located in ████, Nevada. The plaza is closed and is currently owned by ██████ Real Estate who has goals to renovate the plaza. All businesses within the plaza have no anomalous properties except those encompassing SCP-XXXX. However, SCP-XXXX appears to be in an extremely dilapidated state relative to the rest of the businesses.

SCP-XXXX exhibits no anomalous effects even when the location itself is disturbed by exploration. However, anomalous effects only appear when a canine is killed within one hundred (100) meters of SCP-XXXX. In the case that this occurs, a random figure from Hollywood cinema (designated SCP-XXXX-1) corresponding to the breed dog will appear within SCP-XXXX in approximately five minutes. Where SCP-XXXX-1 appears is variable; SCP-XXXX1 has been observed to manifest both in the shared basement or the attic of SCP-XXXX. Despite this, the most common location for SCP-XXXX to occur is within the Banfield Pet Hospital located within SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a figure from Hollywood cinema each associated with a certain breed of canine. As of 5/17/████, ten variations of SCP-XXXX-1 have been observed (documented in Experiment-XXXX-1). Individual instances of SCP-XXXX-1 can coexist, and there can be multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-1 corresponding to one pop culture figure.

Experiment-XXXX-1

Experiment-XXXX-2

SCP-XXXX only responds to the termination of canines, and in fact, does not respond to the termination of felines. Strangely, SCP-XXXX appears to express a consistent "positive" response to the termination of felines while expressing a constant "negative" response to the termination of canines, as evidenced in Experiment-XXXX-2. Also, the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1 as a response to the termination of a feline is inconsistent; the produced instance of SCP-XXXX will be a random figure from Hollywood cinema unrelated to the breed of feline terminated.

Results of medical and forensic analysis of SCP-XXXX-1.

Incident-XXXX-1

Addendum: The DVDs appearing within SCP-XXXX-B once SCP-XXXX-1 has re-entered appear to support the conclusions from the medical and forensic analysis of SCP-XXXX; the role corresponding to SCP-XXXX-1 in the movies appears to be played by a close look-alike, not the actual actor themselves.
