SCP-XXXX-P prior to containment.
SCP-XXXX-B prior to containment.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid Keter
Special Containment Procedures: No canine organisms are to be brought into the plaza containing SCP-XXXX. Liquid canine repellant is to be sprayed in the 100-meter vicinity surrounding SCP-XXXX at the start of every week to deter canines from being exposed to SCP-XXXX. In the case that a wild canine is found in the vicinity of SCP-XXXX, the canine should be removed from the area with precautions to prevent injury to the canine and the handler.
Individuals previously exposed to SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects are to be thoroughly screened by Foundation psychologist and administered Class 1 amnestics. If discussion regarding anomalous occurrences surrounding SCP-XXXX are found on discussion boards, light social engineering to derail the discussing as an isolated incident is to be employed.
The two businesses encompassing SCP-XXXX are to be sealed while the entire plaza is to be enclosed in a fenced perimeter guarded by armed personnel. No unauthorized personnel is to be allowed near SCP-XXXX while all personnel wishing to operate on SCP-XXXX are to undergo a thorough psychological screening for psychopathy and tendencies towards animal cruelty.
Description: SCP-XXXX consists of a closed PetSmart (designated SCP-XXXX-P) and Blockbuster (designated SCP-XXXX-B) situated side-by-side in a plaza located in ████, Nevada. The plaza is closed and is currently owned by ██████ Real Estate who has goals to renovate the plaza. All businesses within the plaza have no anomalous properties except those encompassing SCP-XXXX. However, SCP-XXXX appears to be in an extremely dilapidated state relative to the rest of the businesses.
SCP-XXXX exhibits no anomalous effects even when the location itself is disturbed by exploration. However, anomalous effects only appear when a canine is killed within one hundred (100) meters of SCP-XXXX. In the case that this occurs, a random figure from Hollywood cinema (designated SCP-XXXX-1) corresponding to the breed dog will appear within SCP-XXXX in approximately five minutes. Where SCP-XXXX-1 appears is variable; SCP-XXXX1 has been observed to manifest both in the shared basement or the attic of SCP-XXXX. Despite this, the most common location for SCP-XXXX to occur is within the Banfield Pet Hospital located within SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a figure from Hollywood cinema each associated with a certain breed of canine. As of 5/17/████, ten variations of SCP-XXXX-1 have been observed (documented in Experiment-XXXX-1). Individual instances of SCP-XXXX-1 can coexist, and there can be multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-1 corresponding to one pop culture figure.

One copy of the complete InuYasha anime appears inside SCP-XXXX-B. |
| Xolo |
D-5832 is instructed to shoot an adult Xolo dog. |
An instance of SCP-XXXX-1 appears as an adolescent Hispanic male with a guitar resembling Miguel from the Disney film Coco exits SCP-XXXX-B and approaches D-5832 and examines the terminated canine. An instance of SCP-XXXX-1 with the appearance of an adolescent Caucasian male resembling Travis Coates from the film Old Yeller exits from SCP-XXXX-B unbeknownst to D-4710 and shoots D-4710 with a Trapdoor Springfield Rifle, causing D-4710 to expire immediately. SCP-XXXX-1 re-enters SCP-XXXX-B while making a conscious effort to avoid eye contact with the terminated canine as well as D-4710. One copy of Old Yeller appears inside SCP-XXXX-B. |
| Border Collie |
D-9221 is instructed to beat an adult female Border Collie to death. |
An instance of SCP-XXXX bearing the appearance of an elderly Caucasian male resembling Arthur Hoggett from Babe exits from the front door of SCP-XXXX-P and slaps D-9221 across the face while repeatedly deeming him a "monster". D-9221 was incomplete in his termination of the canine and SCP-XXXX-1 reportedly pushed D-9221 away from the canine. Afterward, SCP-XXXX-1 promptly retreated back inside SCP-XXXX-P with the canine. Upon further inspection, a border collie suffering no injury was found within SCP-XXXX-P. One copy of Babe appears within SCP-XXXX-B. |

| Maine Coon |
D-3134 is instructed to administer a lethal injection to an adult Maine Coon. |
An instance of SCP-XXXX-1 manifests as a 50-year-old Slavic male resembling Stalker from the film Stalker exits from SCP-XXXX-P and holds a conversation with D-3134 in Russian. Six instances of SCP-XXXX-1 resembling John Wick, four instances of SCP-XXXX-1 resembling Robert Melville, three instances of SCP-XXXX-1 resembling Stalker, five instances of SCP-XXXX-1 resembling Inuyasha and two instances of SCP-XXXX-1 resembling Travis Coates exit from SCP-XXXX-B and collectively praise D-4882 before terminating him. All seventeen instances then attempt to escape the perimeter of SCP-XXXX, leading to Incident-XXXX-1. 54 copies of Stalker, 50 copies of John Wick, 20 copies of I Am Legend, and 20 copies of Old Yeller appear inside SCP-XXXX-B. |
SCP-XXXX only responds to the termination of canines, and in fact, does not respond to the termination of felines. Strangely, SCP-XXXX appears to express a consistent "positive" response to the termination of felines while expressing a constant "negative" response to the termination of canines, as evidenced in Experiment-XXXX-2. Also, the manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1 as a response to the termination of a feline is inconsistent; the produced instance of SCP-XXXX will be a random figure from Hollywood cinema unrelated to the breed of feline terminated.

Results of medical and forensic analysis of SCP-XXXX-1.
Date: ██/██/████
Research Team(s): ██████-XXXX.
Subject: Medical and forensic analysis of the instances of SCP-XXXX-1 produced by SCP-XXXX.
Team Lead: Dr. K. Lisitsyn, Dr. T. Utesov, Dr. A. Rosen, Dr. J. Madeleine, Dr. G. Wang
Team Members: [REDACTED]
Summary: After termination, the instances of SCP-XXXX-1 were transferred to the Foundation's forensics division and medical division by Research Team ██████-XXXX for analysis. Analysis of the genetic material of the various instances of SCP-XXXX-1 reveals that each instance varies greatly in terms of genetic composition. Forensic analysis based on genetic testing shows instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are not produced but rather relocated to the location SCP-XXXX, for each instance corresponds to the identity of a missing individual across the world.
Trends of SCP-XXXX-1:
- "Stalker" variant.
- Slavic males approximately 50-55 years in age resembling actor Aleksandr Kaidanovsky.
- "John Wick" variant.
- Caucasian/hapa males approximately 40-45 years in age resembling actor Keanu Reeves.
- "Professor Parker Wilson" variant.
- Caucasian males approximately 60-70 years in age resembling actor Richard Gere.
- "Robert Melville" variant.
- African-American males approximately 35-45 years in age resembling actor Will Smith.
- "Inuyasha" variant.
- East Asian males approximately 20-25 years in age with pale skin and light hair.
- "Travis Coates" variant.
- Adolescent Caucasian males resembling the actor Tommy Kirk in his teenage years.
- "Sam" variant.
- Semitic or Caucasian approximately 20-25 years in age resembling actor Shia LaBeouf.
- "Miguel" variant.
- Adolescent Hispanic males with short stature and black hair.
- "George Newton" variant.
- Caucasian males approximately 40-50 years in age resembling actor Charles Grodin.
- "Arthur Hoggett" variant.
- Caucasian males approximately 70-80 years in age resembling actor James Cromwell.
Implications: Incentive to investigate the instances of SCP-XXXX arose from a report regarding the sudden disappearance of five individuals at a Will Smith lookalike convention. The attendees and host of the convention recalled a group of individuals resembling Will Smith suddenly "vanishing into thin air" around the time of the Experiment-XXXX-2. A similar report highlighting the sudden disappearance of eight individuals at a Keanu Reeves fan club was also filed around the same period of time as Experiment-XXXX-2. Forensic analysis of four terminated instances SCP-XXXX-1 shows that the bodies were indeed that of █████ ████, ███ ██████, ████ ███and ██████ ███████. Confirmation with staff and attendees of the listed events confirms that these four individuals (and perhaps others) were at the events and that SCP-XXXX actually "takes" individuals fitting certain criteria to produce instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

Incident-XXXX-1
Date: ██/██/████
Research Team(s): MTF-XXXX-Delta, ██████-XXXX.
Subject: Containment breach of SCP-XXXX.
Team Lead: Dr. J. Chernov, Dr. K. Lisitsyn, Dr. T. Utesov, Dr. T. Boudreaux, Dr. G. Wang
Team Members: [REDACTED]
Incident Summary: Twenty (20) of the "more dangerous" variants of SCP-XXXX-1 ("John Wick", "Inuyasha", "Travis Coates", "Stalker", and "Robert Melville" variants) attempted an escape at the site of SCP-XXXX following the fourth and final trial of Experiment-XXXX-2. All instances of SCP-XXXX wielding firearms exchanged fire with MTF-XXXX agent ██████ ████ and the armed guards, leading to three casualties. Only three instances of SCP-XXXX-1 were successfully neutralized; the other fourteen are actively being tracked by the Foundation for termination.
Casualties:
- 3 instances of SCP-XXXX.
- Two instances of the "Inuyasha" variant.
- One instance of the "Travis Coates" variant.
- 2 researchers.
- Dr. Anne Langley.
- Dr. Elaine Henderson.
- 5 guards
- Ruben Skinner
- Aidan Chudnowski
- Tyrone White
- Richard Benitez
- Eleanor Butler
Implications: A string of gun murders was reported later in the evening on the day of the incident. Among the individuals murdered were MTF-XXXX agent ██████ ████; an owner of three cats. All the individuals murdered by the multiple instances of SCP-XXXX-1 were cat owners. Along with this, the cats in the ownership of these individuals were similarly murdered, however, the dogs that shared a household with the cats were somehow spared. As a result of this, all testing on SCP-XXXX is to be discontinued lest an incident like this occurs again. The object class of SCP-XXXX has also been updated to Keter due to the risks associated with the containment breach of the more "dangerous" variants of SCP-XXXX as well as the unknown mechanism by which SCP-XXXX produces instances of SCP-XXXX-1.
Addendum: The DVDs appearing within SCP-XXXX-B once SCP-XXXX-1 has re-entered appear to support the conclusions from the medical and forensic analysis of SCP-XXXX; the role corresponding to SCP-XXXX-1 in the movies appears to be played by a close look-alike, not the actual actor themselves.
