SCP-XXXX (probably 5xxx)
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be maintained in a standard blast resistant storage vault at Armed Containment Area-383, Along with SCP-3539. Usage of SCP-XXXX is to be permitted only in a (1) Priority A Event and (2) When all other Mobile-Task-Force Air Support Assets are unavailable.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an AN/PEQ-1 SOFLAM Laser Designator used by the U.S. Air Force Tactical Air Control Party, for ground-based laser guidance of laser-guided bombs. AN/PEQ-1 was first used in combat in the War in Afghanistan and the Iraq War. SCP-XXXX's exterior appears to be damaged, but when turned on, still functions as normal. SCP-XXXX comes with a standard AN/PRC-77 Portable Transceiver set that looks identical to SCP-3539, called SCP-XXXX-1. When SCP-XXXX-1 is turned on, it will tune itself in the frequency of [REDACTED]. Which recieves no radio traffic at all.
When any variation of "We need air support!" is transmitted in English via SCP-XXXX-1, an instance of SCP-XXXX will respond on the handset, called SCP-XXXX-2A. SCP-XXXX-2A is a male pilot, flying a United States Air Force A-10A Thunderbolt II with a tailcode of 78-████, armed with a full-strike package loadout of AGM-65 Maverick AGMs, Mk. 82s, GBU-12s and the standard 30mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling Gun, designated as SCP-XXXX-2B. SCP-XXXX-2A identifies himself with a callsign of "Hammer 2-4". SCP-XXXX-2A will first identify himself, tell the one who called him on the headset to use SCP-XXXX to "paint" the target, and wait upon his arrival.
SCP-XXXX-2 instances are always the same on every call. Upon close inspection, SCP-XXXX-2B appears to be an A-10A that was shot down by a [REDACTED] on Operation [REDACTED] at [REDACTED].
SCP-XXXX-2 will then proceed to the area marked by SCP-XXXX's laser. And will proceed to attack it. The weapons used by SCP-XXXX-2A depends on the target marked by SCP-XXXX. If the target is an Infantry Column or a group of people, SCP-XXXX-2 will use his 30mm cannon, but if it is an armored target, he will use his AGM-65s and his GBU-12s. Upon his attack run, SCP-XXXX-2A will then call the user of SCP-XXXX back thru SCP-XXXX-1 and ask for a Battle Damage Assesment. If given a 100/100 BDA, SCP-XXXX-2 will then bid the user a "good-luck" message before departing the airspace. He will fly onto a cloud before shortly disappearing.
Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX along with SCP-XXXX-1 was retrieved by Mobile-Task-Force Nu-7 "Hammer Down" during a routine training operation in [REDACTED].
Addendum 210.1: Test Logs
Test Log 210.1
Date: 07/██/201█
Location: Nellis AFB Test Range, United States of America
Purpose: Confirm and quantify SCP-XXXX's behavior and response.
Procedure: Former Lt. Col J█████, was to induce SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties and conduct an interview with SCP-3539-2 instances. Lt. Col J█████ is a USAF TACP on Operation [REDACTED], and was the one who gave the support request to SCP-XXXX-2 before he was shot down.
Results: Lt. Col J was instructed to use SCP-XXXX-1 to call for air support. As expected, an A-10A Thunderbolt II with Tailcode 78-████ appeared on the radar of MTF Sigma-9 'Valkyries' F-15C Fighters providing CAP over the skies. These fighters were also the first ones who viewed SCP-XXXX-2A up-close. Below is the Audio Transcript of the Test.
Lt. Col J: [Into SCP-XXXX-2] Hammer 2-4 this is Saber, requesting strike package on map grid ██████. Target marked with laser. Do you copy?
SCP-XXXX-2 [pilot]: Hammer 2-4 to Saber, wilco. I'm inbound 5 mikes.

SCP-XXXX-2: Ah, God. You almost gave me the chills there. Sorry for that rude introduction. Are you here for as escort?
Eagle 2-1: Yes Hammer 2-4. You can go on and fly towards the lase. We got your back.
SCP-XXXX-2: Wilco. Thanks.

Lt. Col J: Alright doc. [Into SCP-XXXX-2] Hammer 2-4 this is Saber, we are getting over run! We need that support now!
SCP-XXXX-2: Hang tight Saber. Double-timing it.
// Approximately 3 minutes later, SCP-XXXX-2B flies overhead and unloads his entire bombs, and fires his 30mm cannon onto the laser marked targets //
SCP-XXXX-2: Saber, Hammer 2-4 Battle Damage Assesment?
Lt. Col J: Hammer 2-4, Saber. BDA 100/100. You saved our asses out here. Thank you.
SCP-XXXX-2: Solid Copy Saber. Whenever you need me, that radio and laser is the keys. Hammer 2-4 Out.
Eagle 2-1: Command, Saber. Eagle 2-1 here, SCP-XXXX-2 has left the airspace using the same path he used to get here. He is no longer responding to our calls. Should we pursue?
Valkyries Command: Negative Eagle. We still have the next test to do this. Return to base over.
At this point, Lt. Col J was relieved from SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1.

MTF-Sigma-9 used a retired MiG-29A Fulcrum Fighter from the Russian Air Force to intercept SCP-XXXX-2A. This however caused SCP-XXXX-2A to immediately retreat, and radio the user of SCP-XXXX an apology. |
