Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be given approximately 87 kilometres by 87 kilometres of 3.5 metre tall cement walled, privately owned land (via Site ██ or Site ██) with noticeably hilly features, devoid entirely of physical human existence, and with 24/7 drone surveillance. Security personnel are to rotate constantly, each group separated by no more than 18 kilometres to ensure consistent watch, protection and denial of entry to unwanted trespassers.
Entry into either Site (specifically the one in use; as of 8-17-████ Site ██) is strictly prohibited without direct consent and/or approval from Dr. ██████ and O5-█.
Description: Declared "Casa Knoll", or "Knoll House" in English, SCP-XXXX is a small, one story cedar log cabin in appearance, exempt of any windows, Walden in construction type, with outside measurements that would correspond with (generally) 957 ft², or roughly 88.9 m². Despite the more historically recent invention of the Walden-type log cabin construction method, SCP-XXXX is gauged at about 1200 years old with unknown origin, whose wooden appearance and roof are in contradictably good condition. While no tests of the wood have ever been successfully performed to full proof the dating, early Spanish settlers in North America account of a meeting with the █████ tribe, with said account being backed by tens of highly detailed illustrations depicting what appears to be a Walden style house on a hill. As the account goes, the █████ tribe would awake every fortnight to see the cabin on a different hill, and believed the continual process to be a sign of appreciation from their ancestors.
SCP-XXXX irregularly, randomly and instantaneously manifests itself upon small hills at time frames between 1 to 89 days, antithetical to the accounts given by the Spanish settlers about the █████ tribe. It is unknown as to if this was true in the case of the Native Americans or purely established by the settlers as a means to bring about a sense of mystic. SCP-XXXX has never gone beyond 87 kilometres by 87 kilometres of it's artificial origin, as it has been studied that upon removal and subsequent placement of SCP-XXXX at a specific location, that it has never, over the 48 years of documentation, gone beyond markers that indicate a tresspassal of over 87 kilometres in any direction of said specific "artificial" location.
SCP-XXXX will near immediately induce extreme interest in any person who lays eyes on it, so much in fact that a person who has made direct visual contact with it longer than 1.54 seconds will do anything within their power to go to it and enter it; in essence, becoming frenzied (who after this point will be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1). If SCP-XXXX-1 is restrained after initial visual contact, nothing will change or cease the frenzy. SCP-XXXX-1 will continue to do everything in its power to break the restraints, and should personnel choose to allow this to go on, it is highly suggested that such personnel go no longer than the longest tested example of a SCP-XXXX-1 restraint of approximately 823 days and terminate said variant. Why the Native American tribe was able to look at it without effect is a complete mystery, the same question going for the Spanish settlers who helped to illustrate it so many times over.
Though SCP-XXXX manifests itself as a single floor, roughly 1,000 sq foot, cabin, exploration into it has proven otherwise (see [REDACTED]). Upon entrance through the single, wooden centerfold door (approximately 6 feet 8 inches in height and 3 feet in width), it will shut, and all attempts to reverse this have failed. SCP-XXXX is estimated to have more than doubled in height (to approximately 5 stories, though there is actually no "floors" and only a very high ceiling) and ███████ in width, though the true width is unknown. There is no light inside SCP-XXXX, however it appears as though human vision is [REDACTED]. There are no accessories or additions inside SCP-XXXX, as evidence clearly depicts a plain, wide-open interior completely void of decor, carpeting or windows. Inside wood appears very weathered and gray, a contrast from the outer veneer. The severe increase in size and plainness in interior accentuates the thin, wooden constructed staircase that rides the left wall to a midway point between the floor and high ceiling, at which point a wrap around railing reveals 7 closed doors, all very similar in appearance to the entrance door and all of which approximately ██ feet apart from the next.
Entrance into the first of the inner doors acts similar to the entrance door. This first room will from this point on be classified as SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-A's door immediately shuts and cannot be in any way pried or forced open. The room is a small one, measurements have never been attempted and essentially cannot be simply based on the lack of clear information. The room has a single window, small in size and blurry, but proportionate to the rest of the room. The light coming in is a white bloom which allows for the rest of the room to be viewed more easily. The walls are wood and colored as the interior; gray, weathered and old. However, there is a single mantle, made of apparently the same wood as the walls, on the far end of the room that holds a clock draped in even, black cloth. This clock and cloth together will be classified as SCP-XXXX-A-1.
Addendum XXXX.1: Only █ attempts were made to reverse the effects imposed upon SCP-XXXX-1's frenzied state, all of which unsuccessful. It is advised for future reference and testing that it not be carried out; reversal of SCP-XXXX inducement stage is currently, and for the time being (█-██-20██), unfeasible.
Addendum XXXX.2: SCP-589 has been used to attempt to sooth and calm down SCP-XXXX-1's frenzy temporarily, though long term effects, even after repeated use, never came to light.
Addendum XXXX.3: SCP-343 has visited several variants of SCP-XXXX-1 at multiple points across time, the first instance of a visit in 20██. Upon walking through the room (a 2.2 m by 2.2 m steel enclosed, airtight room), SCP-343 appears to look the frenzied SCP-XXXX-1 up and down and frowns. After touching SCP-XXXX-1 for a brief moment, camera feed goes dark for approximately 24 seconds. After feed is restored, SCP-343 is not found within the enclosed steel room as it had been, and SCP-XXXX-1 can be visibly seen staring calmly and saddened at the floor. This state lasts for several minutes before SCP-XXXX-1 slowly returns to the frenzied thrashing.

Testing Protocols: Subjects entering, viewing or coming in contact with SCP-XXXX are to be outfitted with a [REDACTED] 100 lumen backup flashlight (8.5 hours of battery life), a [REDACTED] backpack that includes a crowbar and [REDACTED], a military grade parachute (overlapping [REDACTED] backpack), along with 2, satellite supported miniature video cameras (one appended to the shoulders of the subjects and one to the chest) which send visual and auditory feedback to Dr. ██████, Dr. ████, and their team. Subjects are to have in-ear associated communications to allow Dr. ██████, Dr. ████, and their team to communicate directly with subjects. Subjects are to be equipped prior to pickup with a [REDACTED] head mount which will allow them to visually see SCP-XXXX without having direct, bare eye contact with it; this prevents Subjects becoming classified as SCP-XXXX-1 and going into a frenzied, uncooperative state.
Subjects' [REDACTED] head mount is to be blinded between pickup and drop off (but before skydive jump), and are to be trained in the basics of parachuting and skydiving prior to delivery (if not already well acquainted; it is advised that personnel select a subject with a background in skydiving or base jumping).
Knoll House Test A - 10-5-20██
Subject is D-53920, male, Caucasian, weaker physique; from this point on now referred to as "Subject". Subject is well versed in skydiving. Subject was involved (third-party) in a deadly mass shooting that included multiple homicides and █ accounts of armed robbery. Subject has shown suicidal tendencies with at least one official suicide attempt. Though partly sociopathic, subject has been very cooperative on the grounds Subject receives alleviated sentencing.
Head mount and cameras flicker to life. Timestamp: 2330, coordinates: 30° 1█' ██.████'' N, 83° ██' ██.████'' W. Audible wind and buzzing noises via plane propellers drown out Security personnel, situated front and back of subject, signaling and vocalizing subject to jump. Camera sees subject walk to the now open back door, revealing a dark landscape and intermittent cloud cover. It is estimated subject is, at this stage, roughly 22,000 feet above landing site. Subject leans forward and pushes out, sending himself into free fall (which lasts approximately 1 minute 47 seconds). Subject pulls his parachute with roughly 1,000 feet to spare. Subject glides down; upon descent SCP-XXXX becomes visible, subject's eyes directly meet with it—subject is questioned throughout the remainder of his descent regarding whether he felt a strong urge or change in consciousness after direct and continued viewing of SCP-XXXX through head mount.
Subject expresses clear conscious and judgement following parachute landing. Approximately 35 metres ahead of subject sits SCP-XXXX atop a small knoll, door aligned with subject's chosen path. Subject is ordered to advance at whatever pace he deems necessary and to stop upon reaching SCP-XXXX's porch. It is upon reaching the porch that the subject first reports a light static across the head mount viewing system, and is further dually confirmed by the team that their cameras too (those positioned on the shoulders and chest of subject) are suffering from the same problems. Subject is then asked to try and reposition the cameras on shoulders and chest to attempt and exact change upon the light static and is directed step by step on how to turn off and turn back on his head mount. Both of these actions are performed successfully with no instances of trouble, though the light static persists.
Subject instructed to try the door and to see if it is unlocked. Upon twisting the knob, subject reports, albeit it with obvious effort, that it is unlocked. Subject is told to open the door, and after following through with order, states he cannot see anything within the cabin even with night vision. This is the first case of something unusual with the lighting inside SCP-XXXX, as in order for the subject's [REDACTED] head mount not to work, powerful laser oriented pulses would have to be barred entirely, essentially leading the inside of the cabin's image to look like a solid monochrome wall. It is here that a swarm of opinions regarding whether Knoll House Test A should be rethought, reconsidered and outfitted to better equip the subject for the entering of SCP-XXXX are brought up. Subject is then asked about numerous options, namely all in relation to the entrance into SCP-XXXX. Subject explains he does not think it is suitable or appropriate for him to enter SCP-XXXX without an image. Subject is asked to use the backup flashlight in his backpack and attempt to shine it into SCP-XXXX, however this reacts similarly to the failed night vision and the light is consumed immediately. Approximately 3 minutes later the subject is given the order to enter SCP-XXXX.
Subject is reluctant to enter, protesting for several minutes before giving in to the temptations of an alleviated sentence and further buttressed by threat of [REDACTED]. Consequently, after entering, all visual contact is lost in regards to both parties. The most notable on the side of the subject, whose mount stopped producing imagery after stepping into the door. Removal of the helmet could cause subject to revert to the uncooperative state many measures were there to prevent, however it was decided that Subject either took the helmet off and communicated solely through audio or could wait until helmet camera feed was restored. Subject opted for waiting, reporting being worried that he may turn into an SCP-XXXX-1 variant after making bare eye contact with any interior that may be present. Subject states feeling nauseous, several minutes later claiming the head mount is causing this; subject reports intense perspiration not specific to any single area, a sudden soar throat, aching teeth, aching joints, lower and upper back pain, dizziness and uncomfortable bowel movements. 23 minutes after entering into SCP-XXXX, subject insists on taking off the head mount.
Subject removes head mount, reportedly with eyes closed, and was asked that upon opening them that he quickly assess the surroundings and report them in specific detail over the comms. Subject begins yelling out details: gray, worn wooden walls, a blank and void interior with no visible windows, a ceiling he believed could be 5 stories high, a width which he estimated to be ███████, however he stated he could not be sure, a thin, wooden staircase that appeared to be the only thing connected to the floor he was standing on that led to a wrap around railing that had several doors. Subject begins talking to himself and reports sitting down, standing up and trying to pry the door open with the supplied crowbar. He could not see the other side of the house, but his vision [REDACTED]. Approximately 1 hour and 3 minutes after sitting down, subject makes contact with the team and states he feels he has a "clear head". The team asks him if he would explore the house, but subject insists he will not be going to the other side of the house which he cannot clearly see and is only willing to travel up the thin staircase. Dr. ████ asks him to count the doors; subject reports 7 maybe ██ or ██ apart, though he cannot be sure.
Subject can be heard stepping slowly up the thin staircase, as, per step, intense creaking persisted. Multiple times subject reported feeling uneasy along the journey up. Upon reaching the wrap around railing, subject states the floor to be dotted with dark stains and small depictions of creatures unlike anything the subject had seen prior to experiment. Subject walks what he believes to be 3 metres before coming across a hallway that stretched to his left (of which he could see only black). Subject is asked if he would walk down the hallway, but denies the proposition, for as he looked down the hallway he felt light headedness and symptoms similar to vertigo and stomach "butterflies". Subject walks to his right where the railing wrapped farther than was visible, though he recounted and confirmed there were exactly 7 visible doors. He was asked to try the first one which sat an estimated █ metres in front of him. He arrived at the door and tried the knob, however stated it was locked and would not open. Subject was tasked with prying the door open and took his crowbar out to do so. Staging his crowbar between the frame, subject was flooded with nausea and dropped the crowbar. Subject was ordered to attempt the knob again, at which it gave way and subject audibly stumbled into the room. The door slammed behind, and subject immediately began trying to force the door back open to retrieve the crowbar which he had forgotten.
Subject describes the room as eerily small with wood that resembled that which he just came from, however this room had a single window, blurred completely but emitting a "white bloom". Subject states a mantle with no fireplace, head height, is at the opposite end of the room with an object several inches in height covered by a black sheet. Subject attempts to force the window open but fails, and is asked to examine the mantle and object. Subject feels pains that were reminiscent of those he felt earlier: intense perspiration in the underarms, a sudden soar throat, aching joints. Without any warning, subject rips off the black sheet and mentions a clock.
Auditory feedback from subject is intermittent. In multiple cases, heavy breathing with a wooden thump following could be heard through the comms, however comms encountered connection issues ██ days after the initiation of Knoll House Test A and were subsequently unlinked.
No further testing is to be carried out on SCP-XXXX as of 11-11-20██.
