Special Containment Procedures: SCP-[BLANK] is not hostile in any way, therefore can be left in the janitor's cabinet in case of a blackout and large sources of light are required, as of █/█/1992. SCP-[BLANK] is to be stored in Heavy Containment Zone with light nullifying walls and heat resistance walls. At least two (3) security personnel must be in the vicinity of the SCP during testing and recontainment, as of █/█/2014.

Description: SCP-[BLANK] is a standard flashlight, everything is normal excluding the light knob. The light knob is a knob very similar to one on a radio, with no limits; up or down. The further up you spin it the brighter it will get, there have been no found limits, but they have gotten it to ██████ lumens bright. If you turn it down, very strange behavior begins to manifest. The further you turn it down the darker it will get, if you go into the negatives it will begin to absorb light, darkening the room; tests have shown it cannot absorb light through any solid material, as of █/█/92.

All testing involving negative brightness is considered a punishable offense, as of [BLANK]-1-A test log, all testing on SCP-[BLANK] is to be approved by O5-█ to lower the chance of an XK end-of-the-world scenario. Upon the SCP's negative light ability manifesting, another thing manifests as well. Informally known as "The Demon in the Dark" or "[BLANK]-A" SCP-[BLANK]-A is extremely violent, it manifests in the dark only; the light is the only known way to terminate it. SCP-[BLANK]-A attacks every living creature in sight, including SCPs.
