Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a standard small arms weapon locker in site-XXX's anomalous weapons storage wing. Access to and testing with SCP-XXXX requires written permission from a researcher with level 2 clearance or above and presence of a security officer with training in small arms combat during testing.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an ordinary handgun resembling a Beretta M9 with slight wear and the serial number -00001.

SCP-XXXX

The item was discovered during a raid on a safehouse known to have affiliation with the Chaos Insurgency located in ███████████, Pennsylvania on 9/26/████.

The magazine found with the object is able to anomalously hold any object smaller than 3 in. X 1 in. X 1 in. When firing with any object that could fit in the magazine the weapon is functional as would be expected of a handgun of its make, with the exception of the effects it has on a human target, and the ejected casing (see Addendum XXXX-A). The effects manifest when a round fired from SCP-XXXX hits a human subject. Approximately 10 to 15 seconds after the expected resulting injury has been inflicted, the wound will rapidly close and damaged tissue will regenerate by unknown means, and in the case of a fatal wound the subject will revive. It is to be noted that while the anomalous casing is ejected, the bullet itself has never been recovered, even when firing in an open space. Following the "immunization" for a time correlated to the location of impact the subject's body will anomalously repel the object they were immunized with (see Testing Log XXXX-A).

Addendum XXXX-A: When a non-bullet object is fired from SCP-XXXX the resulting shell casing is composed of similar materials to the loaded item, these cases are designated SCP-XXXX-1.

Several instances of SCP-XXXX-1

Further inspection of a shell casing ejected from SCP-XXXX revealed a very small engraving on the rim of each cartridge. The first recorded engraving was the following number: #██,███,███. Upon examining each resulting casing ejected from the weapon the number was observed to increase by one for each bullet fired. This detail brings with it the concern that there could be a high number of "immunized" persons out in the general public, which provides some legitimacy to claims in the northeastern region of North America where people reported strange activity regarding demonic possession and witchcraft.

Additional Notes: After attempts to use the disassembled parts of SCP-XXXX in other pistols of the same make, the anomalous effects could not be recreated.

Elevator Pitch: "9mm Vaccine" A handgun and matching magazine that can load any small object and fire it, making the target anomalously repel whatever object they were hit with.

Central Narrative: The story of this SCP is told through the testing logs, and is that of a senior researcher who is studying this object in progressively irresponsible and unethical ways, showing his declining mental stability and descent into madness from working at the foundation.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: I've created multiple interesting images that represent the SCP, and progressively darker test logs that show how research into the objects can be mentally detrimental to the personnel studying it.

Additional Notes: This being my first submission I wanted to create something that didn't mess with the format too much but still told an intriguing and dark story parallel to the SCP object through the test documents.
